season two chapter two

Chapter two: vampire mate 

Randy POV 

After the talk with Liam I went to look for my mate at the clinic, but she wasn’t there she had been moved. I had to follow her scent till I found her, two guards stand outside her door I talked to them asked them to let me inn. I didn’t want to get them in trouble so I pretended like I understood, but as soon as they were distracted, I took my chance. I came in the room where I stayed the whole night, sleeping in a chair next to her bed. 

A whimper wakes me, I sit up looking around, the most beautiful black eyes look at me, she is awake. I smile at her, “hey, are you alright? Does something hurt?” she shakes her head no, “where am I” “You are at Moonlight Howls pack,” her eyes widen “what, but isn’t this the pack that once where two? How did I get here?” I scratch the back of my neck as I respond to her question, “I brought you here.” 

Third person POV 

Celest was confused at first but soon she remembers everything that happened yesterday, she looks into his eyes. Silver eyes, the eyes she has dreamed with for years, but he couldn’t be the same guy from her dreams. After a few seconds of silence, the door opens and inn comes Liam, Celest could tell he was the alpha of the pack just by seeing him. Randy stood up immediately, he growls at Liam, “stay away from her,” his eyes turn red showing how serious he is. Liam put his hands up in surrender and took a chair putting it next to the door to show Randy it is okay. “I am here just to talk,” Celest thinking he is talking to her she nods, Randy takes deep breaths to calm himself, he then takes a sit on the chair he was before. His eyes going back to silver, “what is your name?” was the first question, “Celest, alpha” hearing her name made something stir inside of Randy, he loves her name already. “You don’t have to call me alpha, I am Liam, this here is my best friend Randy, he says he found you in the woods. Could you tell me what you where doing out so late at night?” Liam was trying his best to not scare the girl, Randy was feeling stupid for not asking her name before, and not introducing himself to her. Celest didn’t know how to answer what to say, what if they throw her out, or returned her to the pack she escaped from. 

After a few second of her not saying anything Liam understood she is hiding something most likely the murder of the alpha of Crescent Peak. “Did you have anything to do with the murder of the alpha at Crescent Peak pack?” Her face turn red, not from embarrassment but because she was feeling hot, she is scare and being scare turn her into fire. Liam can see the red face she is having but he thinks is because she may not feel comfortable talking. Randy can feel something is not right, he looks the red face and hands of his mate. He lays a hand on her forehead to feel if she is feeling sick, the shocks that shoot through the touch makes him control himself from moaning in pleasure. He feels how hot she is and thinks she may have a fever, “I think she is having a fever she is too hot call someone.” Liam is about to mind link for help but she stops him, “no, all I need is for you two to leave, please, I can’t control myself.”  

Liam and Randy gave themselves a look, like they don’t get what she is saying, can’t control herself, they both keep thinking of what this could mean. Liam has have more experience with witches than Randy so he knows that some of them have the power to become something else. He met a witch once and she could transform herself into a snake, she could talk to all animals even in human form. As his mind was trying to decipher the situation, Celest was now floating out her bed. Her hair starts to catch on fire, her eyes turn orange color with a few shades of red. Randy and Liam stare at her feeling different thing of course. Liam is scare he wants to protect his pack and feels like she may killed his pack, now he thinks he knows how the alpha was killed. Randy is feeling an even bigger attraction towards his mate, she is amazing is what he thinks. Soon her whole body is on fire, Randy now knows that if he doesn’t contain her then Liam may kill her. He runs to her jumping in the bed to fly up to her, he hugs her tight not able to fill her fire burning him. She is shocked to say the least, her feet touch the floor, she looks into his eyes, her fire is not burning him. 

Liam who is seeing this happening in front of his eyes can’t explain the relieve, as soon as Randy put his arms around her, her fire change to a blue one. Not burning anymore, all that makes sense in Liam’s head is that the mate bond works wonders. Randy and Celest stay hugging each other, the sparks shooting like crazy from one to another. Celest knows he is her mate do to the feeling as she looks into his eyes, she sees something, they change to red. Celest let go of him her fire extinguishing she can’t believe what she is looking at. “your eyes, you... are you a” she doesn’t know how to ask this question, Randy understands this, he knows she will reject him, because who wants a vampire as mate right, “yes, I am your vampire mate, I... I have to go.” Randy runs out the room heading to see his sister he wants to talk to someone, and after talking to her he may need to talk to Ryder as well. 

Liam stays in the room staring at Celest, “how?” Liam doesn’t know what she is asking, “you mean how he is a vampire or how he belongs to a pack? She nods indicating both, Liam sights, then explains “he was born here, his father is a vampire but his father is also a twin to a werewolf. His mother is a werewolf, they had triplets, one of them is a werewolf, the other is hybrid, and he well he is a vampire.” she thinks this through for a few seconds, “but how? I mean mother always told me vampires are bad, they are monsters.” Liam took a sit and gesture for her to do the same, “monsters are in every species, there are humans who are consider monsters. Also, I know of a few werewolves as well, even witches, but that doesn’t mean the whole specie is a monster.” 

After a long talk with Celest, Liam left her room, he is now in his office doing paperwork, he needs to take a few papers to the schools nearby. Since schools in his area accepts all, from humans to all supernatural. He picks his phone and dials for the college they are soon starting classes, a secretary answers the phone “hello you are calling North community college, how can I direct your call?” “hello this is Liam I have filled all paperwork regarding your school, I will be there tomorrow morning.” After the secretary accepts he ends the call, tomorrow will be an even more stressful day. 

Randy leaves from talking to her sister, now he needs to call Ryder, “hey Randy you okay?” “Yes, ummm, I need to stay at yours for a while can I?” “Of course you can but why would you want to come did something happened?” This is why Randy call and not mind link because Ryder has always been the one that worries for everything from the three of them. And mind link just makes things feel more urgent, all he wants is to give some space to his mate, because the smell of her blood is calling him and he knows he has to wait. Wait for her to accept him, and at the same time he knows he can’t handle having males around her, he doesn’t want to kill his best friend next time.  

“It’s just I found my mate, she is here and well I am nervous I don’t think is good if I stay and maybe I make things worse. She is a witch, and I think she is afraid of me for being a vampire,” Stevan heard the conversation so he spoke to him. “Hey men, don’t trust me on this one, don’t stay away from your mate, because distance is only going to make things worse. Why do you think Ryder doesn’t go visit without me?” It is true, Ryder used to visit very frequent, even when Stevan stayed behind doing alpha work, but every time Ryder came back Stevan acted like crazy. He would smell Ryder making sure no males where around him, and one time he picked up on a scent. A warrior who had bump into him, Stevan wanted to go look for the guy, so from then on he doesn’t let Ryder go anywhere without him. 

After almost an hour talking with Ryder and Stevan, Randy has decided to wait, he will talk to his mate and see where they have to work on things in order for them to be good. For now he decides to go run, what he doesn’t know is Celest is thinking about him, she is willing to try something with him. After all he is her mate, he will not let anything happen to her and right now she needs that, because she doesn’t want to go back to her pack to be killed. 

The next morning Liam is getting ready to go to the college and bring the papers where he is authorizing all kind of beings to be accepted at college. Liam also gives classes to the first years kids, he is call to be a professor, the only reason he does this is to keep watch on the new kids. He wants to be able to check on them see if any will cause trouble. Since Liam has the scent of a human is easy, he is young yes but he is very good at math. As soon as he arrives to school he goes around the classes people say hi to him all his way.  

Lauren is in a college near her pack territory signing herself up for school, last year she was at a different school now this year a new one. She is doing this to find her mate ‘maybe he is in this college’ she thought. After signing all the documents needed, she was to go home, she walks out of the office when a smell of strawberries and lemon hit her nose, she sniffs the air once more. ‘MATE’ her wolf Lee yield excited, she smiles at herself as the thought of her mate coming to this school came across her. She couldn’t let her first impression on him to be this, she looked at her attire she was wearing loose pants and an xl hoodie, she loves extra-large hoodies, and baggy pants. She run out of there quickly before her mate could see her. 

Liam run to the office as soon as he enters the scent of his mate is stronger, he looks around and watches her sniff the air, he smiles thinking she was going to turn around. But she didn’t, she instead run away from school, pain, that’s what Liam feels now, knowing that maybe his mate doesn’t want him. They haven't even met and yet, she didn’t seem to be interested in meeting him, Liam turns around turns the papers in and leaves school. 

What Lauren doesn’t know is that her mate in deed saw her, and now he feels rejected, when she gets home, she smiles again thinking that she has found her mate, and soon they will meet. She can already picture how hot and sexy he must be, ‘hopefully a big bad alpha’ is her thought. She wishes on a bad alpha mate, that hearing his name can make people fear him. What she doesn’t know is that Liam is the opposite, yes he is an alpha but he is no bad wolf here. He is sweet, gentle, loving and has a big heart, this is why his father Axel Black wanted to pressure him into using a mate. He wants to see his son mated soon, but Aria didn't let him do that to their son, she wants him to find love. That is the thing, Liam got that from his mother, he also is looking for love more than a mate.
