season two chapter three

Chapter three: Luna 

Third person POV 

Liam was back home sitting in his chair in front of his desk at his office thinking, he had found his mate, his luna yet he isn’t happy. This was supposed to make him happy, but how could he be happy not knowing why his mate run away from him. The worst part he can’t blame it on the looks because she didn’t even turn around to see him. A sight leaves him still thinking of what could of have made his mate run away from him. The door opens and Randy walks inn, he goes and takes a sit in front of Liam who hasn’t even notice Randy is here. “what’s wrong with you?” Liam is shock to see Randy staring at him, he shakes his head turning to look at the paperwork he has at his desk. “Nothing much you?” he asks not even looking at his friend in the eyes.  

Before Randy could question him a knock at the door is heard and Liam is happy for the interruption, “come in.” “Hey guys just want to know if you received the new training times?” Steven says from the door, he looks at both Liam and Randy before coming in. “What is wrong with you two? Did something happened that I should know about?” Since Reilly was chosen as beta before she found her mate, now the two of them do beta jobs. Liam rests his back on the chair facing up at the ceiling, “I found my mate today,” both Steven and Randy look brighten. They were scare they would receive bad news but this was and is good news, this means they now have a Luna. “She run away after picking up my scent,” “did you run after her?” asked Randy Liam shakes his head no. “Are you insane? Reilly tried to run from me and I never let her, yes I gave her space because of Ryder and Stevan but I didn’t let her go.” At this Liam thought about it, it is true he didn’t go after, does this mean he has lost the chance of his life to meet his mate? 

            Meanwhile  

Lauren was happy she knows where she will see her mate but next time she does, she will be dressed to impress. Because that is what she wants to impress her mate, to make him desire her more than anything else. She walks through the hallways of her pack house towards her father’s office, without even knocking she goes in and sits in the small couch. “Hello sweetheart how was your day?” She smiles brightly, “great daddy, actually I found my mate,” “really well congratulations and who is he?” “I don’t know I haven’t met him yet, I picked up his scent but then run away from him, look how I'm dressed.” The alpha looks at his daughter, “so when are you planning on meeting him?” “soon, and I truly hope he is a handsome strong alpha, powerful enough to be worthy of me.” “Lauren we have talked about this, as long as he treats you well he is worthy of you, what are you going to do if he is not what you want him to be?” “Well then I guess I will have to reject him and find myself a chosen mate,” even though she is speaking her truth her father could only wish she is not speaking truth here. 

He has tried to make her understand, that as long as he is a werewolf, he would be enough, but there is nothing he can say to change her mind. And that only scares him, a chosen mate can never compare to the bond you share with your real mate. 

       Back to Liam’s office 

The three guys had now everything plan, Liam called the school asking for them to appoint the new student to his math class. Liam was going to give her classes and if everything goes as plan their Luna is coming home in a few weeks. After a while Randy starts to feel uneasy he gets up from his chair running out in his vampire speed. At his action Steven and Liam run after him, Randy is standing by the pack house door his eyes red, his body shaking, hands fisted to the sides. Liam and Steven look everywhere then they spot her, Celest is talking with a guy, and when he puts his hand in her forearm Randy snaps. 

Randy runs towards them, pushing him away from her, he takes her in her arms hugging her tight at first she stiffs then relaxes on his touch. The sparks running through their bodies, his nose runs up and down slowly on her neck, smelling her scent. He calms when he can’t find anyone elses scent on her it’s just hers, the smell of her blood invades him, her fangs want to come out. He wants to taste her blood but he knows is to early so he fights his urge. His eyes snap to the guy who doesn’t understand what he did, he scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment but Randy growls at the guy making him jump. 

Steven and Liam are on their side after they saw everything, Steven has heard of the girl from Reilly but he hasn’t met her yet. Taking the opportunity, he extends his hand saying, “hi my name is Steven,” the girl still id wrap in Randy arms, “don’t talk to her” Randy growls. Steven gives a questioning look, I amen he is mated, he shows Reilly mark on his neck but it seems to do nothing to Randy. Liam sights and explains, “you know how Reilly growls at every girl near you, how she doesn’t let you be near women at all.” Steven nods his head, “well this is Reilly in vampire, Randy acts the same way Reilly acts with you, but with his mate.” At this Steven understands what is going on, but still feels weird about it, Reilly does let Steven talk to mated females. Before he can say something else he remembers his brother, he has never seen a guy as possessive as him. Ryder can’t be near males and sometimes not even females or he turns into his wolf forms and don’t leave Ryder. Although maybe Randy is just like his brother, when he turn to his side the guy from earlier is not here anymore. 

Randy can’t let go of his mate because he is still feeling uneasy, something is wrong and he feels like protecting his mate. He looks around everything seems quiet, he sniffs the air trying to find out what is happening. Liam and Steven notices this, they also sniff the air, ‘guys we have company’ Reilly mind links the three of them making them growl in response. Celest feels something cold run through her spine, she knows what it means, they are here for her. She looks up at Randy who is sniffing the air “they are here.... for me, they will take me.” she whispers but is enough foe the three of them to hear her. Randy growls in response making her feel warm in the inside, her hand goes up his face. She places her hand slowly on his cheek and smiles at him sweetly, he looks her in the eyes, his red eyes don’t scare her. “I will not let anyone near you, you understand? You are mine, and I will be damn if I let someone touch you other than me” he says as he buries his face in her neck. 

Soon the Crescent Peak pack are standing in front of them, the warriors have been alerted to stand by in case of any trouble. “We see you have the witch, now turn her over!” the beta of the Crescent Peak pack says as he steps forward. Randy put his mate behind him as he growls at the beta, “over my dead body” he growls again. Liam can only shake his head it seems all Randy has been doing since he found his mate is growl for everything. The beta turn to Liam, “we can’t turn her to you I am sorry, Randy here is a pack member and she is his mate.” The beta laughs loud at this as he shakes his head, “ I don’t care honestly, they haven’t mated, she is not mark, this makes her part of our pack and now she needs to come back home.” What the beta said is true, she is part of their pack, and Randy and Celest just met so yes she is not mark or mated to him. Randy also knows this he turns around to look at his mate in the eyes, “I will not let anybody hurt you, all you have to do is trust me.” Liam knew what it means for Randy to say this to his mate “Randy don’t” too late. The next thing everyone sees is how Randy’s fangs extend, he then bites on his mate’s neck sinking his fangs deep till they hit the bone. She gasps, in surprise, she bites on her lips as the pain is the most painful, she has ever experience. The pain soon leaves her leaving a pleasurable sensation behind, she feels her belly feeling weird, a moan escapes her as he sucks. Her blood tastes wonderful, Randy can smell her arousal, and his he removes his fangs from her skin closing the wound with his tongue. Her knees give up, before she can fall, he takes her in arms (bridal style) and runs towards his room leaving everyone else behind. 

Liam don’t know how he is going to deal with everything now, since Randy has just declare war to Crescent Peak. Randy lays his mate in bed and he lays next to her, holding her tight to him, feeling warm. The sparks running wild, he smiles as he cares her hair, “I promise no one will hurt you my love” he whispers before he falls asleep with his mate in arms.
