Introductions

Erica looked all of them in the eyes and could feel her pressure rising.

“Why do they want to know my name suddenly?”.

“Why aren’t you speaking?” asked the one with long blond hair.

Erica glanced down at her hands, then closed her eyes in defense, looking up at them with a straight face.

“My name is Erica Lewis.”

“Erica is such a cute name,” comments the one with half ponytail with a smirk.

“Now, that I have stated my name, may I know,” she looked at all of their faces.

“Who are you all and why am I inside the castle suddenly when I was standing in front of the gate a while ago?”.

“That’s because there’s something that you aren’t aware of,” replied the blond hair guy with long hair.

Erica looked at him in confusion.

“What am I not aware of?”.

“A lot. But before we step into that, I think you should also know our names. This will help you to get to know us better.”

“Everyone, introduce one by one. I’ll go first.” Said the blond hair guy with long hair.

“I’m Titan Vermillion. I possess the sin of Pride. The oldest of the seven brothers. But there’s hardly any age difference between all of us.” and

Titan's blue eyes possess the characteristics of his sin, Pride, who doesn’t acknowledge anyone above him, mighty and cruel.

“I’m Luke Vermillion, I possess the sin of Greed. The second oldest of the seven brothers.” Replied the brown hair guy with spikes. His green eyes were shining as if he had found a new toy to play with when he looked at Erica.

“I’m Orion Vermillion,” added the one with half ponytail. His blue eyes with golden tints were locked onto Erica.

“I possess the sin of Lust, the third eldest. Nice to meet you, my kitten.” He added in a seductive tone.

Erica almost blushed in response.

“We can leave it at that for now,” said another guy placing a hand on Orion’s shoulder.

“I’m Atlas Vermillion, I possess the sin of Envy. Nice to meet you Eri.” He added in a condescending tone. His hair was wavy and curly, which reaches up to his ears, and his eyes were green like Luke's.

“Eri?” Orion taunted.

“Is that a nickname for my kitten?”.

“You can say that,” Atlas replied.

“Eri? They are suddenly giving me nicknames, what should I do?”.

Suddenly, someone placed a hand around her shoulder, drawing her attention.

“I’m Skylar Vermillion, I possess the sin of Gluttony. Nice to meet you, Erica.” Added a guy with reddish brown hair. He keeps his hair short which only reaches up to his ears.

His hazel eyes were mischievous and playful, full of hunger. The small mole under his left eye matches his features very well.

“You aren’t supposed to touch her just yet,” remarks another voice.

The one with messy brown hair steps forward and glared at Skylar who sat next to Erica.

Skylar sighs and gets up from his seat.

“Fine, Fine.”

When Skylar left, he looked at Erica with a straight face.

“I’m Lupin. I possess the sin of Wrath. Nice to meet you, Erica.” He replied in a cold tone.

His amber eyes were glowing in the light. His body is muscular and his presence shows his nature clearly. Wrath, has the power to destroy everything in its path.

When Erica was about to greet him, someone yawns.

“Guess, I’m the last one.” Said the one with black long hair.

He steps forward and bends down with a bow in front of her.

“Nice to meet you, Erica. I’m Rhodes, I possess the sin of Sloth, which is why I’m quite lazy as you can see.”

“Don’t mind it though,” he said with a wink. His ash eyes resembled a cat's's's.

“Now that you know everyone, I guess it’s easier for us to talk,” Titan added, putting his hands into his pockets.

Erica nodded.

“Why am I here? I was waiting for my parents to come and pick me up, then why?”.

“They wouldn’t come to pick you up,” Orion replied with a smile.

“Ever.”

Erica narrowed her eyes at him in confusion.

“What do you mean by that?”.

“That’s because that’s the truth,” Luke replied.

“What truth?” she gets up on her feet.

“The truth is that they ditched you here purposely.” Added Skylar.

“Purposely?”.

“You are our contracted blood servant given from the human’s side. King Hans. And this is the reason why your parents handed you over to us,” Lupin replied.

“Handed me over?” Erica’s eyes widened in shock.

“Yes,” Titan replied.

“You are a sacrifice, to restore the peace and harmony between the humans and the Vampires.”

Erica looks at all of their faces in confusion.

“What do you…….”.

“We are the royal Vampire Princes of the Vermillion Family,” Atlas comments, placing a hand around her shoulder, and staring at her from the corner of his eyes.

Hearing the word Vampire her eyes froze up in shock.

“The humans wanted to stop us from hunting and attacking other humans for blood, which is why your parents decided to sacrifice you, by giving you over to us.”

“I hope everything is clear to you now.”

“Now you know why you were brought here,” Rhodes replied with a yawn.

“Don’t make a fuss now.”

Erica turns to Titan with worried eyes.

“But, why would my parents do that without asking me about it?”.

“They didn’t discuss this before sending me here. How is that…..”.

“Are you all telling me the truth?”.

“And what are we going to get by lying to you in the first place?” Luke asked with a grunt.

Erica looks at them with a worried face.

“I…I don’t know. But….” She covered her ears with her hands.

“Maybe my parents are stupid. But, they’ll never hand over their daughter to strange people.”

“We are Royal blood Vampires, not strange people,” Orion addressed, correcting her mistake.

“The reason why they handed you over is that we require blood to survive. And we can’t go around attacking people we like, that’s why.”

“It’s as simple as that.”

Titan sighs.

“This is why I wanted her to come here out of her own will, instead of being tricked by those people like that.”

“Now we have to explain so many things to her.”

“You don’t need to worry,” Lupin added.

“She’ll manage on her own. After all, she can’t leave the castle in any way.”

“She’ll be imprisoned in this house as long as she lives. That’s her only fate.” Luke looks at Erica with a profound expression.

Erica looked up at Lupin hearing that.

The sudden realization hits her that now she’s forced to live in this castle full of Vampires who want to suck her blood.

“I can’t stay in this Castle, I have to leave.”

She turns around running from the spot as fast as she could.

No one yelled after her.

She ran as fast as she could without looking back.

“If I run fast they can’t catch me. As long as I find the gate.”

In a few minutes,,,, she appeared in front of the gate.

Seeing this she smiles in relief. She ran up to it and grabbed onto the handle. But when she tried to open it, it didn’t move.

Instead, the sight before she disappeared, and she was back inside the castle again, in the same spot where she was standing.

“Are you done playing tag?” Orion comments with a sigh, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Erica turns around in shock. Her face had gone pale in fear.

“How am I here again?” she yelled at him.

“Cause you can’t leave from here unless we want,” added Titan.

Skylar nodded.

“What?”.

“So, instead of trying to run, accept the fact that you have to live here for eternity,” Atlas said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

“That’ll be better for you.”

“Someone, show her to her room. We want her to take some rest in the meantime.”

“You didn’t have your meal yet, did you, Erica?” Skylar asked, licking his lips.

“I..”.

A loud grumble filled the air.

Everyone was able to hear it very clearly.
