"Ding! Congratulations to the hosts on successfully purchasing the Cause and Effect Book!”

Just as the magnetic sound came out, William saw that an ancient black book and a white bamboo brush had appeared beside his bed.

“Is this the Cause and Effect Book? Why don't I see there's something special about this weapon?”

William, feeling confused, started to lift the black ancient book and looked at it carefully.

William saw that the book had three words written on it, namely the Book of Cause and Effect, only from the outside, maybe other people couldn't see if there was anything strange about the book. If William himself had not seen with his own eyes that this black ancient book had just emerged from his system, perhaps he would have suspected that this ancient book was just an old book that could be found anywhere.

William placed the white bamboo brush along with the causal book on his bed and stood up to open the door to his room.

Turning the handle and opening the door of the room, William subconsciously froze for a moment. Although William did not recognize the visitor in front of him, he did recognize the black uniform he was wearing.

It was a grown man with black hair, his eyes were staring at Luo Wen with his piercing gaze. And behind him was a middle-aged woman, Luo Wen knew the middle-aged woman because she was the owner of this place's inn.

"Is there something wrong?" William asked with a confused expression as if this was a normal response for one to face this situation.

When the grown man saw William's confused expression, he subconsciously began to eliminate him from a suspect.

“We are currently investigating the case of the disappearance of five teenage boys, the innkeeper here said that you just entered the inn. Is that true?"

When William heard the interrogative tone of the grown man in front of him, he tilted his head in a feigned confusion, "It's true as the innkeeper said, I just came to the inn last night."

Listening to the words of the officers in front of him, William had an uneasy feeling after seeing the mysterious object that looked like the scales of the law.

“Yeah, I just got to know that guy last night. A person named Billy brought his four friends over to where I lived. If I'm not mistaken, one of his friends is called Ethan Lux."

By the time William finished speaking, the atmosphere around him instantly became quiet. If someone were to drop a small needle here, perhaps those around him could hear it very clearly.

William could see the change in the gloomy expression of the officer in front of him, he felt that the situation was starting to get worse.

“Damn it, I never thought that a Battle Soul could have such an ability!”

William subconsciously cursed himself for being careless, he never expected to meet someone with such a Battle Soul ability.
