Chapter 11 - Captain Alex Got Tricked

When William saw Captain Alex's friendly smile, he could feel a hint of cruelty behind that smile. Captain Alex purposely killed the two men behind him to show how easily he could kill a Tier 9 Spirit Warrior like William.

“The dagger that pierced those two don't seem to have come from his Battle Soul Ability, but it came from beneath his black clothes!”

Just as William was flustered, he suddenly heard a systematic voice from his brain.

"Ding! The host has triggered the main task of the system!”

“Hopefully the host will choose it well!”

[First Choice: Host agrees to Captain Alex's condition to join the Secret Service team!

William looked at the system screen in front of him in bewilderment, he wondered why it suddenly appeared his system launched the main task feature.

"If this is the main task The Truth has given me, then why should I be asked to make my own choices?"

William lowered his head for a while before his mouth formed a wide grin and looked at Captain Alex in front of him.

William at first couldn't figure out what The Truth was thinking to give him the freedom to make his own choices, but he immediately understood after seeing the rewards of each choice.

Then Captain Alex saw the Marionette Battle Soul shadow feature of the teenage boy in front of him, he noticed that there was a slight difference in the string puppet in the magician's hand. The string puppet that originally only had a black figure started to vaguely form a familiar shape.

The shadowy figure of the string puppet was in the form of a man wearing black clothes with a white tie crossed like a judge's outfit. In the hands of the man who looked like a judge held a small object that looked like golden legal scales.

“Is that so… The teenage boy in front of me used his Battle Soul Ability to control someone else's soul! Now I understand why my consciousness is slowly fading and my entire body can't move freely, what a terrifying Battle Soul Ability!”

Those were Captain Alex's last thoughts before his consciousness disappeared and was replaced with William's.

William's legs suddenly felt heavy and he fell to the ground under his breath.

It was because everyone was afraid of the fate that awaited them like the two people who had been killed earlier.

When William saw that the Secret Service members were within Captain Alex's reach, he slowly walked back into the room and closed the door.

Within Captain Alex's consciousness, William could see the confused looks of all of them.

William controlled Captain Alex's body and approached one of the Secret Service members who was beside him, "Is something wrong?"

Seeing Captain Alex's friendly smile, the Secret Service member's body suddenly stiffened. All he could do was gulp his own saliva and stuttered, “C-Captain, is it okay to just leave the teenage boys alone? Wasn't that teenage boy the mastermind behind Ethan Lux's murder?”

But what awaited the man was not an answer that came out of Captain Alex's mouth, but a shadowy figure that suddenly flashed and stabbed into his stomach.

"Why ...."

The man held his bleeding stomach while looking at Captain Alex with his confused eyes.

"Why? It's because I don't need too many unimportant characters like you in the drama script I'm going to make!”

William who was controlling Captain Alex's body stared at the body of the man who had fallen to the surface with a look of complete indifference. With Captain Alex's Judge Scale Battle Soul Ability, William can easily kill the remaining Secret Service members in this place.
