Chapter 43 - Announce The Rules

"Have they arrived here yet?"

William and the others watched intently as two old Spirit Warriors wearing black robes with a design of three long sharp claws started walking towards the center of the town square. Followed by several young men who seemed to be some of the descendants of people of high status.

By the time the two old Spirit Warriors had arrived in the center of the town square, everyone around the square fell silent.

At this time, one of the two old men who had green pupils started to step forward and look at the people around him.

“Alright everyone, please pay attention to what I'm about to announce! Let me talk about some of the changes that have occurred to the assessment this year!”

“This year's assessment will be different from last year's assessment, not only that but all the new rules have been passed by other higher-ups. Then William saw that Prince Alfred who was beside him nodded his head, seeming to agree with what William said.

“So William, what should we do then? Is it better for us to separate from each other so we can collect points faster? With the strong power at our disposal, maybe it would be a good idea to split up! At least it's more efficient than gathering together isn't it?”

When William heard Prince Alfred's suggestion, he nodded his head. William acknowledged that with Prince Alfred's special powers, and himself it would be easy to complete the assessment quickly.

Meanwhile, Chiaki who was beside William just listened to the conversation of the two without interrupting in the slightest.

“Yes, what you said is true. With the special powers at our disposal, this assessment would be a very easy thing to pass.”

Prince Alfreed who was beside him had stretched his body as if this judgment was a very easy thing for him.

"So does that mean you agree?"

When William heard Prince Alfred's request for approval, he subconsciously glanced at the few people around. Especially William's gaze fixed his eyes on the people wearing black robes not far from where he was.

William felt that there were at least a few people who activated his instincts. William thought that the strength of the black-robed people had at least something that could threaten the lives of the three of them.

So William could only give a refusal response to Prince Alfred's request for permission.

“No, I don't approve of that plan. Aren't you still recovering from your previous battle injuries? Better use this opportunity to adapt without using the Battle Soul's Karma Tree ability! Not only that, even I intend to use this opportunity to practice Chiaki's combat abilities.”

As William looked ahead, he saw Prince Alfreed's eyebrows slightly raised as if he was confused as to why William had made such a decision. But the confusion only lasted a moment after seeing the cultivation base he had.

Prince Alfred could only sigh helplessly.

“William, I don't know why I feel that you have more experience than I do. Are you really a 16-year-old teenager?” Prince Alfred asked in a suspicious tone as if he had guessed something about William's real identity.

"I don't know, all the answers depend on what you think. If you think that a person's experience is determined by the number of years, then I can't replace your way of thinking. But if you think otherwise, then congratulations your mind has matured!”

William neither acknowledged nor rejected Prince Alfred's words, all William could do was smile mysteriously at Prince Alfred.
