“Ever Green Pack,” Elder Ozul spoke, showing the map to his favorite weapon. “This will be our next target,” he added, to which Beast nodded his head.
“But unlike the other packs, we don’t have to kill the pack members of this pack because most of them are students who come from different packs, not really the pack members of this particular pack. We will need those students to get into the pants of other powerful Alphas of different packs. Once we have those weak students, we will have a lot of things. I hope you’re getting what I meant. Just don’t start killing them just because they’re dogs.” Elder Ozul said again, knowing very well how strong his hatred was against werewolves.
All thanks to Elder Ozul for that.
“The security inside the pack is damn too tight to get broken by any other pack that we have faced until now, considering the safety of the pack. So, you have to study each and every movement of this pack before we will attack them.”
“I don’t care how many years it will take but getting hands-on with those students over there will be worth our waiting. Because it will be no less than a big lottery for us.”
“So, did you get everything clear in your mind? That you don’t have to start killing the werewolves the moment your eyes land on them because if you do anything like that, then they will be aware of your presence and knowing that the pups of a lot of pack members study there, they might send their warrior against you.”
“And no matter how strong you’re, but you can’t fight against hundreds of dogs alone. So, plan everything smartly.” He said. “At least nod your head if you get what I meant?” He said in irritation when he didn’t receive any reaction from the Beast.
At last, Beast nodded his head.
“Perfect. You and Alaric are leaving for Ever Green Pack right now. He has the power to mask the scent, so his presence with you with keeping both of you safe.” Elder Ozul said

The next night!!!
“I’m getting bored,” Alaric mumbled, reaching Ever Green Pack. “How about getting a woman for tonight?” He suggested to the Beast, who didn’t give any reaction to Alaric. He silently observed that a jeep was coming out of the pack.
“How about killing those dogs? We can kill them outside the pack, right?” Alaric questioned him but was got ignored again. Well, it was nothing new for him. Alaric ran toward the jeep to check what was going on and for whom it was out of the pack at this moment.
Who knew that he might end up getting some interesting news? He watched everything silently and saw a girl with a lot of luggage.
‘Seems like she is the daughter of some rich Alpha.’ Alaric thought. And a plan came into his mind. He ran back and blocked the road with the rock. Beast watched his stupid works and swore not to help him if he would get his ass get kicked. At the same time, he was feeling restless.
And he mentally cursed the mutt inside him, who was the reason behind it. He hated his wolf from the bottom of his heart because his presence kept reminding him that her mother was r***d, and he was the result because of which his mother wasn’t with him.
‘My name is Inigo. Not MUTT.’ His wolf growled at his half-vampire part. Beast hissed at that part because even that mutt had a name. Obviously, his mother, Moon Goddess, would have given him that name, but here he didn’t have a name.
He had been staying with vampires all his life, but no one cared to give a proper name to him. And the name they had given him was a constant reminder to him that he was a beast and a monster. It wasn’t that he didn’t think of naming himself on his own, but then… he didn’t find anyone in the coven to call him by that name.
After all, a name was something that others used for calling someone, but all his life, vampires around him with multiple names but not a proper name. Not that it affected him now. He was over this pain. It didn’t matter to him anymore. OR this was what he kept saying to himself to assure him that he didn’t have the heart to feel anything.
He was a monster. And that was it. End of the topic.
He was battling with his own mindset when he smelt a mouth-watering smell of blood with the fragrance of rose. At the same time, his mutt said that word that he didn’t want to hear, at least not for a werewolf.
‘Mate.’
He really didn’t want to see and check on the person whom his wolf called as Mate, but he just couldn’t control himself; his wolf forced him to go and look who his mate was. In the end, he ended up hiding at a place in the dark where no one could see him, or that he thought so because, within a second, he found her looking in his direction.
He was positive that she could see and sense him even though his scent was masked. That was the power of mate bond; a lot of things didn’t work on it. But at the same time, she couldn’t see his face, unlike him, who was observing every tiny detail of her failure.
Her red hair was tied in a high ponytail. Her hair looked smooth and soft that he immediately wanted to run his fingers in her hair. Her beautiful green eyes were looking at him, and what surprised him was her specs.
Why would any werewolf wear that? Because their eyesight was just as brilliant as vampires.
There was curiosity in her eyes, maybe to know her mate. She wasn’t beautiful, obviously, but she had an innocent baby face. He wouldn’t be surprised if anyone told him that she was just sixteen years old. A smile was going to appear on his face when she screamed in fear, turning her head in another direction.
He didn’t care what Alaric did, but he wouldn’t lie; he felt like he missed a heartbeat when Alaric reached near her. The same heart that he kept saying to himself that he didn't have. The fact that he might hurt her scared the s**t out of him.
But thankfully, Alaric didn’t do anything like that, he had barely forwarded his sword toward Liara, and she cried in fear so loud, like a baby, that he controlled his laughter. Observing her closed eyes, he quickly took that opportunity to grab two of her biggest luggage and ran as fast as he could, thinking there must be some important and costly items in it while Beast followed him half unwillingly.
And that was because of his wolf.
*
Mother Selene!!! My superhuman hearing power.” Alaric complained, checking on his ear. “That mutt cried like she had seen some ghost,” he added, looking at Beast, whose eyes were constantly changing colors from red to black with golden rims.
‘Mate. Go near, mate.’ Inigo growled in anger because his heart arched with the those that how his stupid vampire had left her alone in the forest, and that too when she was scared.
“Wolfsbane.” Beast hissed when he felt that the mutt in his mind was getting out of control. Alaric quickly gave it to Beast, knowing that he had a habit of controlling his wolf in this way, no matter how much pain he would have to bear.
Beast injected wolfsbane into his body on his own to calm his wolf down. It hurt him like hell when the other part of him howled in pain, but this pain was nothing in comparison to the pain that he had been born with his whole life. The pain that he was the reason because his mother was dead and he was the result of r**e.
Now the fact he had been paired with a mutt was the last thing that he ever wanted.
Why a werewolf?
Why could Mother Selenen’t bless him with a vampire as his mate?
Or hell, why did she bless him with a mate anyway?
“Are you okay?” Alaric asked in concern but didn’t get any response from him. How could he be okay when he was in so much pain? So, he changed the topic, “Okay!! Let’s see what we have in these boxes. I have a feeling that girl is a daughter of a rich Alpha for sure. I hope we will get some expensive jewelry in it.” he added and opened the box. His eyes widened when he saw what was in it.
“What the hell…” he muttered in anger and then checked the other luggage and his eyes thinned in anger,
“Who the hell carries these things?” Alaric asked Beast, who was on the verge of laughing. Immediately they were alerted when they sensed someone’s footsteps.
Beast recognized the alluring scent immediately, while Alaric, too, recognized that scent because he had recently met the girl with that smell.
“My…. my books.” Liara reached there, breathing heavily. The moment she realized that her books had been stolen by those vampires. She knew that she just couldn’t let that happen. She followed his mate's scent to find them.
“How on the earth….” Alaric attacked her, slamming her against the tree and choking her neck. “....did she find us?” He questioned because there was no way anyone could sense them because he had masked their scents.
‘I don’t care.’
‘I don’t give a damn.’
‘She is a dog.’
‘She is my enemy.’
‘I hate her.’
Beast kept chanting in his mind when Liara whimpered in pain after her head, and her body was slammed against the tree hardly. Even without his wolf’s presence, the bond was affecting him badly, and the moment his eyes landed on her and observed the tears in her eyes because of the pain. He lost it.
He grabbed Alaric’s neck from his back and threw him away.
“What the…” Alaric was about to attack, thinking some stranger had attacked him from behind when he was busy choking the girl’s neck but stopped in the middle when he found Beast standing in front of Liara, glaring at him.
