Chapter 4: My Omega

Kori’s POV “Isn’t he the guy we met almost a month ago?” Junia asked eagerly as he followed me behind. I frowned before I realized it. Though, I hadn’t seen his face that day but the scent… yes, it was the same. Regardless, I kept walking ignoring my excited brother. “Kori, is he your classmate? Did he thank you?” Junia asked and it bugged me. “Can you shut it now?” I scolded and turned to give him a hard looks; successfully shutting him up. Though, I felt guilty for doing it but he must know not to go blabbering. Very few students know that we were siblings. If he kept talking that way they will know. Some might try to go after him just to get to me. I don’t show it but he was still my little brother. He doesn’t show it either but he keeps fighting for me at home. “Um… Hansuma-Kun? Th-thank you.” My eyes widened when I heard that boy’s voice. We both turned to our side and saw the adorable boy fidgeting slightly as he thanked me. My shirt was large on him but he had managed to fit it. Nonetheless, he looked cute. I don’t know what my heart needed. Before I could proceed it, I closed the distance between us. “Kori!” I neglected the distant voice calling my name. My eyes were locked with the copper ones and it drawn me in. I reached the wide-eyed boy who shook in anticipation and inhaled deeply. Fruity scent… Yes, he indeed was the same omega that I met few weeks back. He was in heat when I spotted him. He looked horrified back then. Unlike now… Right now, his lips parted as my right hand cupped his left cheek; thumb stroking them lovingly. His eyes reflected my image; a dazed Kori staring back at me. I leaned forward and he immediately shut his eyes; stiffened at the closeness. It triggered something in me. I snapped out of my trance and frowned. What the actual f**k was I doing? Moreover, who the f**k does he think he is to reject me? Before I could have done or said anything, a hand gripped my shoulder and I was pulled back. “Hansuma-Kun!” It was a warning and I scoffed. Utsukushi-chan was the only one who had the privileged to rule over me. Not even Junia can do it. So, I clenched my jaw and fists swiftly turning away. It was hard to get a grip on myself. Ever since the boy has come here, it is frustrating me. Or was it due to how my morning started? I don’t know and I barely cared. “I am sorry, Airashi-Kun.” Pinki apologized and I glared at her. She wasn’t paying me any attention. To my surprise, the boy nervously laughed lowly. I glanced and saw him rubbing his arm before blushing at her. This sight pissed me off. “No-no, that isn’t required. Hansuma-Kun was kind enough to lend me this shirt. He didn’t do anything to me, so an apology is not required.” He brushed it off and stole a glance at me. Our eyes met and he jolted in his place; quickly averting them. “I’ll… take a leave now.” He blurted and ran off, grabbing his backpack tightly. “He’s so cute.” Junia muttered and I threw daggers in his direction. “The f**k is you calling him cute? Remember he is an Omega. We don’t have anything to do with him.” I whisper shouted at him. In reality I didn’t like hearing him compliment the Omega. For some reason I was already possessive which is ridiculous if you may ask me? Yet, I wouldn’t acknowledge it. “Really bro? It was you who threatened us to help him back when he was in heat. It was you to ask me bring your spare shirt for him. To hear you say ‘we don’t have anything to do with him’ sounds funny.” Junia countered smugly at me. I was baffled. How dare he? “Oh about that, it was you who was crushing over him in the class too.” Utsukushi joined him and it irked me. “If you both won’t shut up right this minute then I’ll break your bones.” I warned and their smiles dropped. “Dude this isn’t right! You are being hypocrite.” Utsukushi whined but I flipped a bird at her and get going. What the Omega was thinking by the way? He stood there with see-through shirt showing me his erected buds. f**k! I am unable to keep my heat low. They are right though. I might probably have ignored if it wasn’t for him. Dammit! “By the way, I found out his name is Iko.” My eyebrows knitted when I heard Pinki almost shout behind me. “Oh, really? Isn’t that a perfect name for him?” Junia followed her lead and regardless of my irritation, a smile appeared on my lips. It was for a fraction of second but it was there that stunned me. I swear Pinki is… too much! They kept going on about how ‘certain someone’ was too jumpy and nervous; how he blushed when anyone approaches him and so on and so forth. Idiots! In the lunch room, as we made our way to our table, my eyes caught the blue-streaked boy queuing up for lunch. He was talking to Stephen, the Brit boy who stood in front of him. I watched as several students stood behind him and frowned. They were blocking my vision. Usually, I would sit in my table and order but today, I wanted to do something normal. Thus, I walked towards the line and clicked my tongue. The boy in front groaned and turned. His eyes widened and he quickly lowered his head before tugging at the shirt of the girl accompanying him. They both left and soon every single student that was queuing up scrambled around leaving me close to the oblivious boy; Iko. Iko was laughing lowly and it dazzled me. He sounded so sweet, like the melody played by a professional musician. “Stephen-Kun, you are too funny!” Iko touched the boy’s shoulder and I hated it. Unconsciously, I grabbed his arm and pulled me behind me. Stephen’s eyes popped out of his pocket as he saw me. I am sure he wanted to help Iko who was afraid of my actions. Even though, I glowered at him; he backed out and turned to the front. “You!” I pushed Iko in front, throwing him a disdain look. “What is with that ugly laughter?” I growled and saw his lips quiver. His eyes were everywhere else than me and mumbled a sorry under his breath. Frustrated, I let go of his arm. He was about to run but I stopped him quickly. “Don’t you want to eat?” I asked and he hesitantly nodded his head. It was awful that he was releasing his scent. That caused many alphas to glance our way. It worried me for some reason. As if my Alpha was restless, I sighed and held on to his hand. It surprised him, to say the least. I ignored but didn’t say anything. My thumb drew patterns that eventually calmed him down. Apparently, my Alpha felt responsible for his scared Omega. Now when he was calm, I hastily pulled out my hand from his and stuffed them inside the pocket. The tingling on the skin that was in contact with his grew more. Nonetheless, I focused on Stephen’s head. From my peripheral view, I watched at Iko studied his palm too. He was in deep thought staring at what could be the place where I touched him. We both stood silent as we waited for our turns. Soon enough, we grabbed our lunch and made gingerly to our tables. Briefly stopping in our way, we exchanged a look that seemed unfamiliar to both of us. I couldn’t take it more. There were answers that I wanted from him; yet I didn’t want anything to do with him. It was complicated. I rushed towards the prying eyes of Pinki and Junia; inwardly cursing. “I told you!” Pinki squealed and Junia giggled. “Here’s your money.” Junia passed her 20 dollars while I lifted an eyebrow at that. “We had a bet. She said you will end up touching him while I thought it would be unlike you.” Junia shrugged sipping on his juice and I scoffed. “Bastards, why not mind your own business? It is upto me to do whatever I feel like with my Omega.” I said and instantly chocked when both of them shrieked in unison. “Your Omega?”
