Chapter 4 Her Second Chance Mate

I turned my head at the source of the voice, she might be mocking me for my torn clothes.

‘Shops are an open offer for every person, doesn’t matter who the buying person is if he/she can afford’ I crossed my hands over my chest and fought back, I have my own dignity.

‘You are right, but here the situation is different. This place is for wealthy person, as only we can afford their products, therefore, they will kick you out because you are just bringing distaste to us’ the woman was very much arrogant and thinks too highly of herself.

I would never have come to such an expensive mall at first place but it was not upon me, that woman was not listening to me and just dragged me with her.

‘Who says that she can’t afford the shopping from here?’ while I was disheartening at the insult, I heard the same voice of the woman who brought me here, and snapped to look at her who had scowl on her face.

‘Caroline?’ the woman was immediately recognized by the crowd and they all start to gossip as to why she was taking my side.

‘See at her clothes and you will get your answer’ the same woman snarl in aggression.

‘She is my daughter and can fully afford to buy each shop of this mall, there is no need to get worry about her clothes’ snapping at that woman, she came to me, hold my hand and took me inside the wall, the guard that was previously standing between me and door, quickly sneak out, instead opened the door for us and make sure to bow his head at my mom.

She was my mom, my biological mom, I was beyond shock. She was such a pretty woman and had a powerful aura around her. I was in my emotional dilemma and did not realized in what shops she took me in and what she bought for me until we were standing near the car and driver was getting all the bags in the trunk of the car.

‘Zoe’ she called me grabbing my attention, she looked pale, I frowned at her condition.

‘Are you okay?’ I wanted to call her mom but hesitated that what if she won’t like it.

‘Oh yes my dear, it is just that I have to go to doctor as feeling little uneasy, the driver will take you home safely. Get some rest meanwhile I will be home’ she cupped my face, pated my cheeks with her fingers and watched me until I was settled in the car until we drove out from the porch of the mall.

After half an hour ride I was again back to the villa, however, my mind was still drifted to the woman who identified herself as my mother, the way she protected me from the crowd of all that not of any use kind of woman, my heart was still beating fast recalling the situation again and again.

My hands were full with the bags, my mom made sure to buy me more than enough stuff, I smiled sweetly and entered in to the lounge, that I entered in to the morning as well and found my mom waiting for me.

‘I wish, she is fine’ I mumbled to myself, after seeing how my adopted mother’s health deteriorate I was conscious about her health inwardly.

Making my way towards the stairs, where my mom had already informed me the direction of my room, I was stopped by a sharp and shrieking sound, I already felt the dislike for the person without turning my head. Living here for many years as a student I never got the chance to meet so many bitches in just one day. Rolling my eyes, I turned to see who had spoil my mood.

‘Yes’ seeing the woman with nearly of my age, I tilted my head in confusion. Mom told me that I only have brothers than who is she? Mate of any of my brother?

‘Where do you think you are going?’ coming near to me, she inquired from me.

‘Why should I tell you?’ the way mom supported me in the mall, gave me courage to fight.

‘Stop behaving like you own something here, give me that bags, you thief.’ My eyes widened in shock when she tried to snatch those bags from my hands, I tightened my grip on them and pulled them back from her.

‘They are mine’ I gritted my teeth.

‘Oh come on. Have you ever seen those brand logos? A wolf like you from some country side can never know about these luxurious things let alone afford to buy them’ rolling my eyes I muttered.

‘Not again’

‘These are mine, gift from my mom. Go away whoever you are and don’t you dare to take my things’ by the end I was really pissed. She was definitely not expecting the outburst from me, hence it just fumes her more and we get in to the heated argument when all of sudden and man dressed in suit rushed to stop us and he was being followed by such a beautiful lady.

Using my sharp vision, I was able to watch them from far, seeing them getting close to me or more precisely between me and that stupid wolf.

‘What the hell are you doing Diana?’ pushing the woman back, he shielded me immediately. The sight was as much as shock for me as it was for her.

‘But she is thief, I caught her at the spot’ I hissed, such a liar.

‘Don’t you dare her call thief’ I saw the man ahead of me, growl at her and within a second he was dragging her by hand.

‘Leave the house and you will not tell anything about here to Madison’ I heard him say this to her, I wonder, who he was talking about and why would he stop her. As my gaze was fixed at them I did not notice when that beautiful woman came near to me and wrapped her hand around mine, using her other hand to sooth me, by patting me on my shoulder.

‘Hi, I am Vivian, mate of your eldest brother and Alpha of Creek Star Pack in New York’ she introduced herself and it was really helpful.

‘I belonged to the Alpha family?’ I questioned from her stupidly and she might have enjoyed my blank face, as she chuckled at my question.

‘Yes dear. You are the daughter of Alpha Mathew and Luna Caroline, but now they have announced their retirement and you brother Nolan is the Alpha of the pack’ she really shared some very useful information with me.

‘Where is mom by the way?’ she asked from me immediately when it struck to her that I was with her, hence I told her what happened in the mall and then we shop and she going to her doctor, Vivian sighed sadly.

‘What? Is it serious?’ I was quickly worried.

‘Actually when you were lost in childhood, Luna Caroline had a severe mental breakdown and from then she is getting treatment for it’ I was at a loss of words after hearing that my family made all of their efforts to find me but failed and they never abundant me, I bit my lips to control myself from crying.

‘How was your life, back in that pack? I hope it was not bad’ Vivian asked, she is such a friendly and sweet person, and finding her sincere, I told her about my life in Redwoods pack and how my adoptive mother helped me running from the dungeon, listening to my story, she couldn’t stop herself from crying.

‘I am so sorry Zoe. Your brothers tried their best and use all their means to find you but it took them time and you had to go through that miserable life’ she quickly hugged me, it felt good to have someone who understands your pain.

‘Don’t worry, we will make sure to compensate you for all those years. You will receive lots of love and care from us’ I nodded at her, when suddenly a waft of strong cinnamon and coffee smell hit my nostrils, raising my head I found my brother Nolan coming in the lounge with some stranger.
