“Mark, I don’t understand what’s going on?”
I cup the side of Sophie’s neck. She looks at me while swallowing hard. “I know you’re confused, Sophie. But Levi will explain everything, but not here. We can’t risk anyone hearing what’s said.”
“Okay.” My mate whispers.
I am so honored to have Sophie’s trust so early on. She’s been through so much, but she hasn’t lost herself to the trauma. I’m not saying Sophie wasn’t affected by what happened to her; that would be ridiculous. But she is so strong, and I am awed by her.
There are many things I want to show my mate, so many places I want to take her. I want to tell Sophie all about my life and travels. She’s giving me a chance, and I won’t waste it. I’m going to make sure I am always there when she needs me, and nothing in this world
