Not a human

My wolf was tearing me apart at this point. My wolf wanted to go find the men that hurt her. My wolf wanted to run to her and make sure that she was alright. It didn’t make sense none of it made sense. I was about to say something when my phone rang. I looked down at it and knew that I had to answer it. “I am sorry, but I must answer it.” I walked out of the room and shut the door before I answered my phone. “Hello, this is about the human,” I said, already knowing the answer to that question.                “It is,” a woman said. Her voice was soft and kind.                “How is she?” I asked, knowing that she was alive. I didn’t know why, but I knew that she was alive.                “Alive, but no one seems to know anything beyond that,” the woman said.                “What do you mean?” I asked, feeling my fists go to a ball.                “The doctors aren’t sure if she is going to live or not,” she said, clicking her tongue to her teeth.                “She has to live,” I stated.                “I don’t think she wants to be dead either,” the woman said.  “All I know is that the doctor thinks that she could be in a coma for months, or she might even be brain dead.”                “Brain dead?” I screamed.                There was a pause on the other end of the line. Finally, I heard her voice again, “I doubt she is. The doctor tends to exaggerate on things so that he can look better when they don’t happen.”                My wolf growled loud in me, and I didn’t know that it could growl inside me like that. It took me a second to calm it down again before I could say. “What do you think?”                “I think it will take a week for her to wake up,” she said.                “I want to know the moment that she wakes up,” I said before looking toward the doctor coming up toward me.                “I will,” she said before taking a breath. “Goodbye, Alpha.”                “Goodbye, Nicole,” I said, hanging up the phone.                “How is the human?” the doctor asked, looking at me.                “Alive, not that it really matters,” I told him, making my wolf literally scream.                “Are you sure?” he asked me.                I glared at him. “Is there something you want to tell me?”                “I do not mean to disrespect you, Alpha, of course, but it seems that you care about this human a great deal.”                “I have no idea what you mean,” I growled at him.                “I only mean that it seems to matter what happens to this human,” he said, looking into my eyes.                “She’s a human, and I am the Alpha of this pack. There is nothing for me to want from her or any other human for that matter.” My wolf almost made me vomit from saying those words.                “You are a man, and she is a woman,” he said, looking at me. “From what I hear, you know a lot about how that combination works.”                “What are you saying?” I growled at him.                “You are popular with the ladies. That is all I am saying.”                “Werewolves. I am popular with werewolves. She’s just a human. I was just trying to be polite because she saved one of our own, that is it. I don’t care about her.” My wolf nearly ripped me apart after I said that. I didn’t understand why. He got angry. He got somewhat jealous, but he was always fine. I could always calm him down. This time no matter what I tried to do, it wouldn’t shut up. I had to do something. I had to make it stop growling if it was only for a moment. Just a moment. I wanted to be able to think for just a second. I wanted my wolf to stop forcing me to get angry at things that didn’t make sense to me. He refused to calm down.                “If you say so, I assume that you will be going to check in on her yourself, then?” he asked me, and I froze. Was I? I had planned on it. I had planned on making sure that she was ok, but now I didn’t know. I couldn’t make it look like I was interested in her. I wasn’t. I couldn’t be. I was the Alpha, and she was just a human woman. That was all she was.                I needed to get her out of my head. I did something I wasn’t proud of. I ran back to the pack house, and I found Oliva. She was wearing this short skirt that I always liked on her. At that point, it disgusted my wolf. It was this dark red color, almost the color of blood. It was tight against her skin and only made it so that she was covered, but barely. Her top was the same way. It clung to her skin like it had been wrapped on her skin that day. The shirt was light blue and covered nothing except her n*****s, and even those were barely covered. Again, this was a shirt that I had loved.                “Leon,” she said. Her voice was super preppy, and it was always something that I found to be annoying about her.                “Oliva.” I tried to growl. My growl wasn’t right. It wasn’t the growl that I was normally able to give her. It wasn’t the growl that she was normally welcomed with.                She didn’t notice. “Several humans on our land,” she growled. “It must have been awful for you. That is why I am here to make you feel better.”                I didn’t say anything. I just kissed her. There was no passion in that kiss. It was rough. It was needy, but it wasn’t her that I needed. My wolf hated the kiss, but it only made me kiss her harder. It only made my wolf angrier. It hated me, and I hated me. So, I stopped kissing her long enough to grab the liquor behind her. I poured as much as I could put into my mouth and swallowed hard. She took a small shot. She was used to me being a little buzzed when I f****d her.                This was going to be different. I was going to be drunk. I was going to make my wolf drown. I was going to kill him with alcohol. He was going to leave me alone. I kissed her again, harder, and my wolf growled louder. I felt him pull me. I felt him try to rip me apart from the inside out. He wanted out. He wanted away from Oliva. He wanted to attack her. He wanted to rip her apart. He wanted her to stop kissing me, and I needed to keep kissing her.                Instead, I took another swig of the Vodka and kissed her harder. I grabbed her ass, but my hand didn’t feel the same. It didn’t feel like it was my hand. It didn’t feel like something that I should have been doing. It was wrong. It was dirty. Yet, I continued to do it. I dug my hand in hard before taking another swig. Oliva took another shot before whispering in my ear, “You seem more aggressive than normal. I like it.”                She nibbled on my ear as I ran my hand up to her back. I unhooked her bra and grabbed one of her boobs, as I took another swig of Vodka. She pulled at my pants and began taking off my belt, and I took my shirt off quickly.                The rest of it went by in a blur. The next thing I remember, I was lying in my bed. Her hands were all over my body. I felt sick to my stomach. I went to grab my phone right before it went off. Oliva took it from me. “Ignore it,” Oliva said, putting it under her.                “Give it to me,” I growled at her.                “They would mind-link you if there was anything important,” she said, tucking my phone under her more.                “Oliva, give me my phone,” I growled at her louder. She gave me a slight pout and tucked the phone under her more. “Come, and take it from me.” I rolled her over and grabbed my phone but realized that I had missed the message. “f**k. Oliva. That could have been an important call. I am the Alpha, and I need to be able to talk to my people as soon as they contact me.” “It wasn’t anything important,” she said, kissing me on the lips. “How would you know?” I growled at her. “Because it was that f*****g human,” Oliva said, kissing me more. “Nicole?” I asked, looking through my contacts. “Yes, that one,” she said before kissing me again. “Get out,” I growled at her. She looked at me with blank eyes before I screamed at her. “Get out.” She looked down at her nude body. I threw her one of my shirts. “Now get out.” She slowly put on my shirt, trying to get me to pay attention to her, but my drunk wolf was even worse than my calm one. “Out,” I screamed. I looked down at my clock 2:45 before I made the call. I waited a few seconds before Nicole answered, “She’s awake.”
