Chapter 4: The Archon who gifted her a sweet escape

Nine ( an excerpt from two worlds book 3)

"..please wake up.. please Celestial reaper. I need your h-help."

Ugh.

What a nuisance. Who the hell in their right mind to come and disturb my slumber?

"Please, I'm begging."

And then I heard this little voice shaking as if it was crying. It is seriously begging.

Iminulat ko ang aking mga mata. The voice was so tiny that I can't barely hear it but my sharp eye saw this little creature pushing herself towards my space. The little creature has two wings that are awfully burned. Her legs were missing and blood flowed from the fresh wounds to the place where legs should be.

"Who are you? And how did you get in here?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I did everything just to reach you, Celestial Reaper," sabi niya sa akin without having fear seeing how huge and dangerous I am in my snake form.

"You have guts, I give you that. Did you come to free me?"

"Yes. I-I heard that you were locked up here for millenia. So I came here to free you," mahinang sagot niya but enough for me to hear it.

Hmmm.

I can see through her that her spirit is slowly slipping away from her tiny body. She is broken and dying. I can clearly see it.

"Why did you do that?" tanong ko sa kanya shifting into my human body. As I shift, the little creature is half of my body in size.

"I w-want a help from you," nangingilid ang kanyang luha sa kanyang mga mata.

I don't know if it's the pain from losing her both legs, losing blood or her emotion.

"I created a planet," aniyang simula. "I created my own creatures there," aniya pa.

"Hmm. So you are an Archon?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Tumango ito sa akin.

I heard about Archons. They are those creatures made by the black hole or in other words, least wanted and lower than demons themselves. But the Big Boss never neglected them and gave powers that made them stand out than the other celestials and that are only applicable in the farthest part of the void, away from humans. I remember having a branch reaper there and I think his name is Kelpie.

"Where is Kelpie?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Hindi ito nakaimik ng ilang sandali at saka umiling.

"After you went into deep slumber, Celestial Reaper, those who vowed to be your enemies attacked Kelpie as I heard. He has been slain by an entity named Apollyon. Death has been long gone and all the archons are living their immortal lives.

"I see," sagot ko sa kanya.

I don't have any idea who this Apollyon is or where the hell that freaking s**t came from.

"What do you want from me?"

"I want you to bring my spirit back to my world inside of the tree that is the heart of the planet I created from my blood and bones," sagot niya.

"Lady, look," sagot ko sa kanya.

I'm the Death and there's no escaping in my eyes. I can see every small detail that your soul is hiding from me. I can see your soul's desire, emotion and change that it is going through. And this little lady in front of me, I can see the deal she already made with Sin, the bastard ruler of hell. And the darkness that has been born from within her. And that is probably because of the pain that is blinding me and the work of Sin. He's the bastard king of darkness.

"I can see through you that you already made a deal with Sin. Why are you still asking me to help you?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Ngumiti ito ng mapait.

"Sin doesn't have any control in Death. You were the one who could do it. So please, I'm begging you," sagot niya.

"Tell me exactly the reason why you don't want to die when your time is actually up," sagot ko sa kanya. The line above her head, which her lifespan is already used up. And then they will be born again. Life of an Archon consists of death and rebirth all over again. But their memories still lingers on.

Tuluyan ng tumulo ang luha sa mga mata nito.

"What would you do if the person you love killed you in your past and then killed you again in the future?" tanong niya sa akin.

"Oh love," sagot ko sa kanya. "That sucks but well, are you aware that asking me to stay alive will cause you a great great great great effect?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I'm ready. I'll accept whatever it takes and in return for your gratitude, Celestial Reaper, I removed the prisoning spell in your abyssal chamber on my way here, you can now be free after this but please have mercy on you, I'm begging you," aniya.

What the actual s**t is going on? I never grant any wish, beg or plead to anyone who is about to die, especially celestials. But maybe, I'll have to grant this one in order to be free from my chamber and hunt the one who locked me here. The nerve of that culprit.

"Okay but remember, when you complete everything you want to do, I will personally come to you and get you myself. Do you understand that immortality is never granted that easily?"

Tumango siya sa akin pagkatapos pahirana ng kanyang mga luha.

"T-thank you," nakangiting sagot niya and slowly her whole being started to disappear as she drew her final breath.

Her body dissolved and the only thing that remains is the ball of black and white which is her soul.

"I wonder how much pain this little lady had to endure to have this kind of soul," sabi ko sa aking sarili as I held it and vanished in my hand.

Pissed, hungry and irritated, I shifted into my huge snake form and destroyed my chamber for thousands of years. As I grew more, I built a larger chamber to accommodate my size and there was this fly who got the nerve to imprison me from the inside.

I'm starving. I need something to eat. Something worth eating. In order to do that, I must get back to my Axis Mundi, my favorite place and my domain.

Nawasak ang Chamber kung saan matagal na akong nakulong. As I watched it being shattered from above, I made sure that whoever did this would die in the most painful death I could imagine before vanishing myself.

I appeared in my domain. I was enthusiastic to see my beloved domain. Malayo pa ako ay nakikita ko ang mga wasak na mga punong aking itinanim upang gawing shade ng mga reaper kapag nagpapahinga. The gated was wrecked and debris from it scattered anywhere.

I got a bad feeling about this. The blue fire must be lit up when danger approaches my domain. Why can't I see the blue fire? And where are my reapers?

Nasagot ang aking tanong ng makapasok ako mismo sa bukana ng aking palasyo. Everyone was deduce into bones. As I observe the cracks and wounds of the bones, they are obviously slain by weapons. Habang naglalakad ako papasok sa pinaka gitna ng palasyo, ang Abyssal Limbo ay mas lalong dumarami ang mga kalansay na nakahandusay sa gintong sahig ng palasyo.

As I approached the chamber where the seed of immortality lies, I was a little bit struck when I saw how many scratches that the shield I put to protect the seed. The seed was well protected until now. Of course, no such weapon nor power can break this shield, I made sure of that. The seed of immortality is the heart of my domain, if this is stolen, then I will be doomed. The safety of the seed was tasked to me by the Big boss. And it's only I, the one who is allowed to touch it.

Ang mga sugat at mga scratches ng shield ay bunga ng mga espada o mga mahika. I can sense it. But like I said, no cheap spell nor weapon can penetrate to one of my scale.

Yes, sweetheart, one of my scales. The shield is made of one dearest scale coated and protected by my own special spell. The two things that can destroy that shield are me and my Murasame, the giant scythe I wield.

Naramdaman kong may takot na takot na nilalang na lumapit sa akin.

"Don't you dare to touch it! My mistress will come back soon. You can't try and steal it," sabi nito habang nakatalikod ako.

Nilingon ko iyon at nakita kong si Grim ang naroon. His half-body was deduced to bones and the other has flesh, but it's rotting.

Laking gulat niya ng nakita ako ang nasa harapan niya.

"Mistress!" mangiyak-ngiyak na bulalas na niya at hindi napigilan ang pag-iyak. "Finally! I've been waiting for you of thousands of Eons," sabi pa niya habang naika-ikang lumapit sa akin.

"Grimm, what happen? Why our domain turned like this? Why are reapers are dead? Who did this? And who the hell locked me in my chamber?" sunod-sunod na tanong ko sa kanya hang inalalayan ko siya paupo sa isang upuang lumitaw pagkatapos kong palitawin mula sa kawalan.

The glory of my domain is now lost.

"We have been betrayed, Boss," aniyang hirap na hirap makaupo.

"Tell me that later. I have to heal you first," sabi ko sa kanya bago ipinatong ang aking kamay sa kanyang kanang balikat kung saan buto na.

I heard him hissing in pain.

"Endure it. This will take a minute," sabi ko sa kanya before flooding him with black and red aura coming from my hands.

Sa tindi ng sakit na nararamdaman niya ay napasigaw ito ng malakas.

A reaper flesh can regenerate in an instant but a wound from a replica of blue fire that doesn't answer to reapers is fatal. It kills the ability of the reaper to heal itself and the regeneration of the flesh.

Grimm's flesh regenerates as fast as his body can. The aura that came from my body is my venom. For reapers, the venom can heal them as they came from it. Once a bone part of his body came back to normal.

Nakatulog si Grimm pagkatapos. He knew how strong the venom was. It will consume all his strength in an instant.

And when he wakes up, he will tell me what happened from the beginning when I went into a deep slumber.
