Chapter 3: Him

Clyver's POV "Oh God, this is so good!" Pearl commented. She giggled after taking a spoonful of her crème brûlée. "We should have lunch often," she suggested.  "Uhuh," I lazily replied. I'm already done eating a minute ago and I am only waiting for her to finish. The thought of my wife showing up earlier clouded my mind. The sudden heaviness in my heart confused me. Right before our marriage, we agreed to keep our nose out of each other's decision. We are only married in the paper. She herself told me that she only agreed to the wedding for their company's benefit. I don't understand why she was so riled up earlier.  "Done!" Pearl exclaimed. My eyes darted at her, smiling from ear to ear. I forced a smile on her and raised a finger to the waiters to catch their attention. One of them went to us. "Bill out," I stated. He slightly bowed his head at me before heading back to get my receipt. While waiting, I felt something brushing on my foot up to my legs and to my inner thigh. One side of my lips curved upward while Pearl is flirtatiously smiling at me. Her foot went on the thing between my thigh and bite her lower lip. She immediately withdraw when the waiter went back.  "Sir, here's your bill." I received it without removing my eyes from her. I shook my head and chuckled a bit when she tucked her hair behind her ear and winked at me. I pulled out fresh new bills and handed inserted them to the waiter. "Keep the change," I said while standing in my seat to exit the place. Pearl followed me and hook her hand in my arms. "Thank you, sir... ma'am!" he said while we walk out of the restaurant.  "So... where are we going?" she asked while waiting for the valet to get my car. I can feel her breast brushing against my arm which made me look at her. I gave her a smirk and snaked my arms around her waist.  "Where do you want to?" I asked with a huge smile on my face. Of course, we exactly know where it is. I only want to do some foreplay and a bit of teasing. Nothing's more exciting than seeing a girl so horny over you. I caught how she licked her glossy lips before leaning forward towards my ear.  "Wherever you want. We can do it anywhere, Clyv," she teasingly whispered. Her breath brushed on my lobe while her hand is stroking my arm. My free hand reached for her chin and hold it with my thumb and index finger. I lifted her face, tilted her head, and pressed my lips against her, giving her a wild but sensual kiss. The valet silently cleared his throat that made us turn our heads at him. We didn't notice him standing beside us, watching us savor each other's lips. Pearl only chuckled and hook her hand tightly on me as she faced the valet with her sweet smile. "Thank you," I formally said after he handed me the key.  "Have you seen his face? Oh my gosh!" Her head fell back while laughing so hard. "He was so awkward. I bet he's a virgin," she commented. I shook my head at her vulgar statements. Aimee never said these kinds of words. She's more formal and often sophisticated. Her words and the way she moves are frugal. This is why I was a bit surprised earlier when she showed up with her sweatpants and shirt. I've never seen her go out of the house like that. Even at night, she always wears silky night dresses. Her hair's always perfectly brushed, unlike what I saw earlier; tangled and messy. "Get in the car, Pearl," I commanded. However, she snaked her arms on my neck and gave me a peck on the cheek. Her lips crawled up in my ear. "We can do it here..." She scrutinized the surroundings. We are still in front of the restaurant and the only people here are the staff at the entrance, waiting to accommodate their customers.  A smirk played on my face. I reached for the passenger's door behind her and pulled it open. "Not here, Pearl. Get in." Her eyes are smiling as she pouted her lips to hide her fake disappointment. My brows furrowed a little but I soon fixed my expression. "Don't pout like that." I turned my back at her and went to the driver's seat to hop on. "Why? What's wrong? Do my lips tempt you? Hmmm?" she bumped her elbow at me after closing her side door.  I did not smile nor react and turn on the engine of my car. I don't like it when she pouts. That is the same reaction Aimee is making whenever she stops herself from smiling.  As I drove away to the restaurant, I felt her hand rest on my thigh, stroking it in an up and down motion. "Pearl, I'm driving," I said. For an unknown reason, my s*x drive plunked down. I respectfully shove her hand away from me and focused on driving. Might as well drive her to her condo. I don't think I'm still in the mood to do it with her. Besides, I'm quite tired of what I and Aimee did. Instead of heading to the hotel which we usually do, I drove straight to her condo. "Woah! You want to do it in my place? That's new!" she exclaimed. I drifted my car into their underground parking lot. She giggled and slapped my shoulder. "Drive safely! I'm with you." "Get out of the car," I demanded. Her chuckle faded and in the sides of my eyes, I saw her confused look.  "What do you mean, Cly?" Her tone slightly raised and I can sense her emotion building up. I don't want to start an argument so I make up a lie.  "I forgot that I have to do something today." Her brows furrowed and leaned her back on the seat, annoyed. She crossed her arms over her chest and displayed her crumpled face. I sighed. My knuckled went on the side of my head and gently massaged it.  "Fine. Let's do it here. I'm out of time." I lied. I just don't want to go to her place and my body is seeking the comfort of our house... my house with Aimee. I never go to my girls' places to do stuff. It's either we go to a hotel or we ain't gonna do it.  "You mean, here? Right here in the parking lot?" she asked in disbelief. I reached for the dashboard and pressed a button to unlock her door.  "Get out if you don't want to," I challenged. As expected, she locked the door manually and without any warning, she attacked me with her lips. Unlike Aimee, Pearl is aggressive and wild. Aimee is the contrary, she may be intimidating and leaderlike in life, but when it comes to bed, she's pretty submissive.  Pearl's kisses crawled down at the side of my jaw while her hands get busy unbuckling my belt. To be honest, I am not in the mood to do it with her today. All I think is the disappointment in Aimee's eyes before she walked out of the restaurant earlier. And the fact that I am comparing her to Pearl at this moment is an asshole move.  In my perspective, at least I'm honest with myself. I know I am not the man women should be marrying. I and Aimee talked about this arrangement even before our wedding. This shouldn't make me guilty.  Pearl's hand wrapped around my private. I take a look down when she started putting it in her mouth. But unlike most of my days, today, I couldn't feel it growing and getting harder. I tried to focus by closing my eyes. I raked and scoop her hair so she can go deeper but still, nothing.  "Why it isn't working?" she asked while stroking me.  'Maybe because I and Aimee had s*x this morning and I'm tired?' I wanted to answer But of course, I didn't. She tried again. I can already feel the back of her throat but my buddy's still the same; refusing to stand. 'Come on, buddy!' "Continue," I commanded. Pearl went faster and faster yet, mine won't cooperate. "Damn it!" I cursed. Pearl licked its head, trying to stimulate me. Still, nothing happens. I grabbed her arm and pulled her away. "What? Let me try again," she suggested and reached on my trouser but I shook my head with finality and zip my pants close. "Is it me?" she anxiously asked. "No. I can't focus. I told you, I still have things to do," I excused. I fixed my clothes and buckled my seatbelt. "You should go now," I said after pressing the button of her car door to unlock it. With no other choice, she grabbed her purse and pushed the door open. Before she hopped out, she asked, "But we're going to do it next time, right?" "Yeah," I lazily answered. She smiled at me and gave me a deep kiss which I gradually responded to. "Bye!" she bid before shutting the door between us.  I watched her walk towards the elevator. She turned her back to face me and waved her final goodbye while the elevator door is slowly closing down. When she's out of my sight, I hurriedly drove out of her place. I reached for my phone and pulled it out. I attentively drive while typing a short message to Aimee. 'Are you at the house? I'm on my way home.'  The light turned red, making me stop. I stared at my phone screen, contemplating if I'm going to send my message. In the end, I deleted it. I instantly shifted the gear to drive when the lights turned green after a minute of waiting. We are not the type of couple who updates each other. Actually, we talked about not minding each other's business as long as we are going back to our house. It is unusual for me to send her a message right after she saw me having lunch with Pearl.  My brows were about to meet each other when I entered the house empty and quiet. During weekends, I often caught her cleaning the house and the sound of her vacuum cleaner invading every corner of our place. But today, I was welcomed with silence. I went to our room and immediately pulled out my phone to send her a message. 'Go home, I'm already here.' I tossed it on the phone along with my body. I lazily remove the buttons of my cuffs and folded my sleeves up to my elbow. I stared at the ceiling with my thoughts floating around, unable to organize themselves.  I don't know why I'm living this kind of life. Until when will I continue this?  My phone resting at the top of my head suddenly vibrated. I reached for it and read Pearl's name on the screen. I swiped it open but before I can read her message, I heard the garage gate opens and the engine of Aimee's car. I left my phone on the bed and immediately got up to go downstairs.  The door in our living room swung open and I saw her walking inside, tossing her car keys on the side table. She looks happy, contrary to what I saw to her earlier in the restaurant.  "Where have you been?" She raised her brow at my question. "Since when I am obligated to tell you my errands?" she mocked, copying my tone.  "Come on, Aimee..." "What?!" she crossed her arms over her chest, challenging me. I sighed and closed our gap. I notice how she shifted in her place and her eyes uncontrollably blink. I stopped right in front of her. I am searching for her eyes but she kept on avoiding her gaze. I reached for her elbows and pulled her closer to me. Her strong facade escalated and was replaced by her soft expression.  My eyes narrowed when I noticed that her eyes are a little puffy and reddish. "Where have you been?" I repeated. She was about to free herself from me but I held her tighter but gently. "Aimee..." I called.  "I w-went to J-Janine's." Her eyes dropped on the floor, refusing to meet mine. "What happened to you?" I asked mindlessly. the question suddenly slipped into my lips and I immediately regret it. She harshly remove my hold and glared at me. "Well, I cooked a brunch hoping to eat with MY HUSBAND. But then, he told me he's going to have lunch with someone else. It turns out he's with his girlfriend." Her sarcasm overflowed and made me speechless. "I went to my best friend to talk about it and blow off some steam and take a break from this sh*tty marriage that I'm in!"  "Aimee..." I tried to calm her down but her frustration devoured her and she won't make time to listen to me.   "And now, my husband texted me to come over and the usual idiotic me quickly ran back only to be welcomed by a question from him that he, himself, doesn't want me to ask." Her chest is rising up and down due to her long and unstoppable rants.  Her lips are quivering. Before I can reach for her hand to pull her back, she quickly ran upstairs.  "Aimee!" I followed her into our bedroom but she shut the door between us. "Aimee!" I tried knocking and twisting the doorknob but she already locked it. "Aimee, come on. Let's talk about this." I said in a more persuasive tone. This is the first time she raised her voice at me. I am used to her being composed all the time. The sound of the breaking glass caught my attention. "Aimee?! Aimee open the goddamn door!" I slammed my hands against the door, forcing her to open it.  "Leave me alone, Clyver. I want to be alone!" Her shout was followed by a cry. I couldn't stand this. I may be an assh*le but I hate it whenever I hear a woman's cry.  "Aimee, open this door or I'm going to knock this out," I warned. When I hear no response from her, I count up to three before kicking the door of our master's bedroom. The lock from the inside flew and dropped somewhere on the floor. But what caught my attention is my wife, standing beside the bed with my phone in her hand.  Her face is filled with tears. The sweat made by her sudden outburst makes her long hair stick on her neck and her face. Her eyes are red and wet due to the tears that keep rolling down her cheeks.  "Is this why you went h-home?" her voice cracked as she showed me my phone.  I have no idea what she is talking about. I walk towards her and grabbed my phone from her hand. Pearl's name is on the screen together with the messages that she recently sent.  'We'll do it again next time. I'll do better.' 'I didn't expect you'll drive me home. I thought we will do it here. Seems like you like it better in your car.' 'Sorry if I didn't make you hard. Maybe your stress in your work?' 'Or is it because of your wife? I'm guessing she's not making you happy e?' 'Hey, reply to me!' 'Why don't you get a divorce? Your wedding was held in States, right?' 'I can be a better wife...' I switched off my phone. My fingers went to pinch the bridge of my nose before tossing my phone back in bed. The cries of my wife echoed in our small room. I quickly went to her when I saw her slowly kneeling down beside our bed.  "Aimee, let me explain." I tried to pull her up but she only shove my hands. "Please, leave..." ----- Unedited.
