Mayura's pov

Tring! Tring! Tring!

Ugh! Why the hell this alarm is ringing so loudly.

"mom please shut it now. I will be up soon," I said but then I remembered that I'm not with my family anymore.

I'm not in Shimla I'm in Mumbai.

I sighed and stop the alarm clock.

I saw Mihi is still sleeping. Guess what I have to wake her up.

But before that I Just saw outside. It's nothing like Shimla. This place is fill of people. The air is polluted very much. Here you people don't have time for family or friends.

In Shimla the people are so humble and the nature is so beautiful and fresh air is available but here nothing like that we are getting.

I got up from the bed and woke my dear friend up.

"Mihi woke up, other wise we will be late for our first day of college," I said and shake her

"cupcake why are you here in my room? Don't you have your house?" she mumbled in her sleep

Looks like she also forget about it.

"Mihi we are in Mumbai." I said and the only sentence is enough for her to wake up with a jolt

"I'm sorry I forgot that. I didn't mean to hurt you or something," She said

Uff! Why she always think she hurt me? She always apologise for small mistakes

"Mihi no need to apologise and why do you keep apologising? For small things? Now get your a*s up from the bed and get ready." I said and she look at me her mouth a gap

Well she didn't expect me to use this language.

"Mumbai Air is really working on you all ready I can see that," she said and I royally ignore her

I took my dress and took shower.

I wear a red salwar suit with dark blue dupatta (stole) the dupatta had mirror work on it. I wore jhumka and a bangle.

Once I'm done I waited for Mihi who also got ready. And I was looking at her with shock.

We are going to college or somewhere else?

"What is it? Don't you have any suitable dress for college? It's a medical college," I told her in a stern voice

She just rolled her eyes at me and said

"cupcake if you have forgot that I only wear this type of clothes? You wear every thing but I only wear the clothing I'm comfortable,"

I didn't argue with her on this topic. Because I know I'm going to lose the argument.

We get out of the room and I locked it. We ate our breakfast in the canteen and the food is hygienic and tasty.

After we both are done we left for college. I haven't talk with any other girl in hostel till now. I took time to open up with people.

When we were going I saw a girl is selling flowers and Was looking at the balloons but I can tell she is poor and don't have money that's why she is doing it.

I ask Mihi to wait for me in the college entrance as the college is only 5 minutes distance and I go near to the girl.

"do you want them?" I asked her and she looked at me with hope

"yes, but I don't have money to buy them," she said sadly

"OK, I can buy it for you but for that you have to tell me your name and where do you live OK?" I asked her and she bod her head eagerly

"my name is Pihu, I live there," she point towards slum area

"OK come I will buy." I says but she shook her head in no

"No you don't have to buy me balloons you just buy flowers from me it will be enough. I don't want to waste money. I have my mother who is ill. I need money for her." pihu said and I felt bad for her

"OK I will buy your flowers and I will buy you balloons as well." I said and she looked at me happily

I cross the streets to buy balloons for her. After getting them I also felt like a child. No matter how grown up you are the child inside is you is always there.



I cross the street to reach pihu but saw that she is smiling and packing the flowers.

"Here take this and tell me how much price I have to pay for all the flowers ? " I told her

"No didi you don't have to give me money. The bhaiya bought my every flowers and give me extra money." pihu said pointing towards a boy who sat in his car and drove away

"then why didn't he took the flowers?" I asked her

"he said to give this to you, he heard our talk and asked me to tell you that you are a very good person," pihu said and give me the flowers and Co incidentally it's my favourite mogra flowers. (jasmine).

I love their smell. I smiled for an unknown reason. I give her some money to buy medicines for her mother but I must say this girl is hard working I need to promise her that I will take money back from her one day.

I saw that it's late and I ran for my destination where I find a very angry Mihi.

"where was you till now? You were talking to the girl right what took this long?" she asked me glaring

"long story will tell you later, 'I said she drag her with me to the auditorium where the principal will come and give us lecture.

The meeting was good. He asked us to be loyal to this profession as it is a big responsibility that we are going to take. She many other things. we don't have any class Today. We can roam around the college to know where is what.

We both are roaming here and there. And looking at the place that is our everything for next 4 years. Mihi got a call and she excused herself to talk on the phone. I am roaming around alone.

I was about to turn but I heard someone calling us.

"hey fresher come here,"

Shit! Please no ragging.

I turned towards the voice and saw that 5 boys are there and they all are seniors. Great. They are looking at me with a gaze that will scare you.

Oh god Mihi where are you? I asked in my mind and take small steps towards them..
