Callista's Point of View
"I cannot go out, Alli. I'm sorry." Hinging paumanhin ko kay Alliah while we are talking thru video call. Her furrowed brows mirrored her concern, and I could almost feel her penetrating gaze through the screen.
"Why? What happened, Calli?" Her voice was filled with genuine worry, but I hesitated. Lihim akong napabuntog-hininga. Should I tell her what happened last night between me and Ice? At kung paano ako pinagbabawalang lumabas ngayon ng asawa ko?
"Nothing. I just don't feel like going out today. Maybe next time," I managed to say, forcing a timid smile to convince her. But Alliah being Alliah, she knows me better than I know myself.
"Something's off, Calli. I can sense it. May nangyari ba?" Her words held a weight of suspicion, and I found my
