Chapter 12

Two truth one lie

Ariel

After Ryder's declaration of love, I felt like my head was over the clouds. We were hanging out with his friends every day of the rest of the time they had left from their trip. They helped me to pack my belongings and a week after his song we were sitting on the plane to meet my new family and Ryder's,  I mean our pack. They taught a lot to me during this time and I felt prepared to take my place as his Luna.

- Are you excited Dear? - Ryder asked while we fastened our seat belts.

- Yes! A lot actually, this is going to be amazing! It’s like I just woke up from a long dream and got back my life. - He kissed the top of my head and smiled.

- You are such an adorable weirdo- I snuggled under his shoulder and looked up at him.

- I know, but this is why you love me. -He looked at me seriously.

- I love you more than I've ever loved anyone. You just saved me and changed everything, you gave me back what I thought was lost.

- Hey you saved my life literally! - I chuckled at him. His eyes were the clearest blue that ever existed and I knew that this shade of blue is just mine. Ryder turned to me a little and looked into my eyes. We shared a kiss and he said.

- Do you remember the advice that you gave me the first night we met?

- Yes, I told you that after every storm comes a rainbow. Why? - He smiled at me, his smile was the sincerest smile, like a child's.

-You are my rainbow. And I adore every color of yours. - A single tear started to roll down my cheek and he kissed it down before it could fall.

 - I only want you to cry happy tears because of m. - I snuggled even more to him.

 -I think with this I won't have problems.

- You know,  before you came into my life I had no weak spots, now I can't tell this about myself. - He told resting his head on top of mine.

- At least I'm a really small weak spot. - I felt his grin.

- Yes that’s true. Now sleep little mermaid this is going to be a long trip.

- Yes Alpha! - she grinned.

- I'm not Alpha yet, first we will do some exercises.  He pulled my hair from the back of my ear where it met my neck and he gave little kisses on that spot.

- I'm aware of that. And looking forward to it as well. - With this phrase, I bit a little his bottom lip and gave him a deep kiss. After that, he started to rock me softly until I fall asleep half in my seat and half in his arms.

After she fell asleep I mind-linked Matthew and Eric they were sitting in front of us.

"- Hey, what’s up over there?

- Nothing, we are about to watch a movie, do you want to join us? -Eric asked.

- I would like to but I can't.

- What’s wrong, is Ariel feeling bad? - I heard Matt's worried voice in my head.

- No. I'm just a little occupied - They turned around and smiled at the scene that Ariel was basically using me as her pillow.

- Do you know Ryder how lucky you are? - Eric said.

- I know. But I don't know how I was able to even think about leaving her.

- You were afraid of getting hurt, we completely understand it, dude. - Sometimes I forgot that Matt is like our babysitter. I grinned at them.

- Thanks but I won't be afraid anymore, she is the only one who can scare me. Have fun with the film!

- Thanks man, if you get numb I can take care of her while you stretch a little- Eric said, my wolf got a little pissed off but we both knew that they will never touch or talk to her in an inappropriate way.

-Maybe I reconsider it.

- Ryder I have to admit I was a little worried as well about the fact that she is a human, but she learned and understood everything very fast. I think she will be one of the best Luna our pack ever had -said Matt.

- I think the same now. It won't be easy but she is more capable than she looks." - With this thought, they started their movie and I just sat there looking at the reason for my existence. A couple of hours later, we still had about 2 hours to arrive when  Ariel woke up and I heard a strange voice when she stretched. It sounded like a kitten.  - What was that? – I asked my wolf. - " It was our Mate she just meowed when she woke up.” -  Ariel looked at me with her eyes still half-closed and she rubbed them with a yawn.

- Did you know that you wake up like a cartoon character? - I asked her while she tried to manage to open her eyes completely. When she finally could,  her beautiful green eyes were staring at me with a little reproach in them.

- At least I don't snore like a bear - I laughed and I ruffled her hair.

- We have still a few hours left, what would you like to do?

- I would like to eat something first of all. I'm starving.

- Consider it done love. What would you like to eat?

-A turkey sandwich will do it, thanks. -She smiled. I pushed the stewardess caller and a young man appeared.

- What can I help you with Mister?

- Can you please bring a cup of tea and a turkey sandwich?

- Of course, it will be 9 dollars. -I paid for the food and gave it to Ariel. She dug in like she hasn't eaten for a century.

- Hey slowly I don't want you to choke on a bite! - She swallowed her bite, drank a little, and pulled her tongue on me, I grabbed her head and bite on her tongue. This tiny fight ended up in us kissing again.

- I missed your kiss. - She looked at me and smirked.

- I was sleeping. I can't give kisses in my sleep. - She finished her food and turned to me with a little inquisitiveness in her eyes.

- Do you know what I was just thinking about? - Her voice still sounded like the most enchanting siren's voice. I will never get bored of it.

- What darling?

-That we almost don't know anything about each other. I mean, okay we are mates, and I know the situation and my future duties, but I don't even know for example your favorite food.  She was right, I forgot that she is a human, and for them, it’s different all the dating process. I shouldn’t pay less attention to this just because she feels the bond between us as well.

- I'm an open book.

- What if we get to know each other by a travel game?

- Fine for me, what do you suggest?

- Two truth and a lie. I tell you three facts about myself and one of them will be a lie. You have to figure out which is.

- I've never played this game but I like the idea. Come on little mermaid -she grinned I knew she loved when I called her little mermaid. Although she didn't give me any nickname, I wasn't worried about it, she will probably do it as time passes.

- Okay so ...something that is not obvious. I like Disney movies, I like French fries with ice cream and I always was in Team Jacob when it was about Twilight movies - she is tricky... I only knew that Disney is true based on her mermaid obsession and her name. French fries with ice cream sounds gross and I'm a werewolf and she likes me.

- This is difficult but I go for the fries.

- Nope. I was always for  Team Edward - I lifted my eyebrows in surprise and gave her a peck on the top of her nose.

- Well I don't know which is worst. That you eat fries with ice cream or that you prefer vampires over werewolves - for this phrase Matthew and Eric turned around.

- YOU PREFER VAMPIRES?! - Eric almost screamed. Matt put his hand on his mouth to shut up.

- What are you doing? - Matthew asked Ariel with curiosity in his voice.

- We are playing to get to know each other better. It’s called two truths one lie. He has to find out which is the lie.

- Can we join you, Ryder? - Eric asked in a girlish voice.

- Okay this can't hurt. At least Ariel gets to know you two better as well. But now is my turn and don't you dare to reveal for her which is the lie!

-We won't! - they replied in chorus.

- Are you ready Roo? - I could tell by her movements that she was really excited. Oh Goddess, she is so cute, and it seems impossible that she can sit still.

- I was born ready, hit it!

- I love music and if someone can sing, I hate when something cold touches my skin, I can't climb a tree. - She sat down and concentrated a lot to choose her answer. I glanced at Eric and Matt but they were also thinking. Well, this is a quite good team-building game.

- I think you hate when something cold touches you - I nodded and Matt said.

- Very good Ari! We didn't know this either.

- Thanks. But what did you just call me? – she lifted her eyebrows to Matthew and he wimped a little.

- Ari...It’s a nickname but if you don't like it I'm sorry - I growled a little at Matt because I couldn’t tell if Ariel is pissed off or not.

- No it's fine, in my language the word you said means "Cute".

- Great so from now on you are Ari. My turn! - Eric said and frowned a little then with a huge grin he said.

- I'm afraid of cats, I love guided tours and my favorite kind of meat is fish.

- That seems simple, the fish. - she said and Eric's face turned to disappointment.

- Yes...

- I think now is my turn - Matthew started. - I hate Scarlet, I like Ari and I'm in love with Eric - we all laughed except Eric he was staring at Matt with disgust.

- You are not in love with Eric stop scaring the poor creature! - she said and Matt kissed Eric's cheek but in a funny way.

- True but It could be a lie too… - he looked at Eric with a devilish grin.

- Come here, baby!! -they were acting like two pups and Ariel really enjoyed it she was giggling all the time.

- Don't you dare touch me again! - Eric laughed and this is how we continued our journey home.
