Chapter 14

The human and the Full Moon pack

Ariel

After a ride, which felt never ending, we arrived at a huge mansion in the middle of the forest. It had large windows and very modern building style. It had four floors and an enormous garage with at least 15 cars. I wondered how many werewolves were living here. We parked in a garage spot and I got out of the car, it was nice to stretch my legs and take a big deep breath. The air smelled  pines which was pretty obvious considering that the house was surrounded with very tall pine trees  hiding it from curious looks. Wilson got out of the car, and closed it before Ryder or the boys could get out and he grabbed me by my shoulder and with one hand he lifted me to stare at him. I heard them banging on the car window. I got angry, I knew I'm just a human in his eyes and that I'm small but he was treating me like I was a kitten.

- Can you put me down - I sounded different. My voice was demanding and it heard more a statement than a question, it seems the time I'm spending with Ryder affects me.

- What if I don't and I throw you out of the garage instead?

- PUT HER DOWN! – Ryder shouted from the car and  I tried to look at him but Wilson’s hold was too strong. He grinned at Ryder and said.

- Sorry pup but if you are not strong enough to take care of this issue… - He stared at me with hate in his eyes and his voice sounded like a growl. - I have to. - He started to walk out with me in his hand to the forest. Ryder, Matthew and Eric was trying to get out of the car but Wilson laughed at them.

- The car is werewolf proof. Just in case someone wants to attack when we are with children, but it also works to keep them in.

- What do you want from me? - I was getting nervous but tried not to show it. I have to prove myself.

- To disappear Dear. You are probably a lovely girl and I can understand why is he in love with you but you will not be able to understand what we are and the danger you are bringing to us.

- I know that you are werewolves - he looked at me surprised but kept walking deeper in the forest, I continued. - I knew it before Ryder told me, actually all my life I read a lot about your kind and the other creatures- he hummed and when we were far from the house he put me down but didn't let on his hold.

- If you know it, why did you came? I suppose you know as well that we need a strong Luna and you won't be able to protect the pack.

- I came because of Ryder. From the fact that I'm not a werewolf, I still feel the bond with him as well. But when I found out what he is, I gave him the chance to choose what he wants. I cut all the contact with him and just waited. It was the most painful five days of my life. Being without him even if we only knew each other for a couple of days. I was ready to let him go if that was what he wanted. I know the duties of a Luna and I'm here to prove myself for his family and pack that I'm worth to be called his Luna. I didn't know why I told all this to him. Maybe I just wanted to let know to someone who hates me without knowing me, how I feel towards Ryder and how much I'm willing to sacrifice for us. Wilson was thinking when he held up his glance from me and looked behind me. A large black wolf with similar blue eyes as Ryder's was standing at my back. I didn't notice him but I knew he is not Ryder. Next to the black wolf there was a snow white one a little smaller than the black one and its eyes were silver blue. Wilson looked at them and said.

- Anthony, Anne what do you think? - they walked away behind some trees. When they came back, it was a man who looked like Ryder but a lot older. He had black hair with some grey hairs in it and in his beard. He was holding a little smaller lady's hand. She had a heart shaped face and long brown hair, she was a little chubby but her whole presence was somehow calming. She wore a long white dress, the man who Wilson called Anthony was wearing shorts and a black t-shirt. They approached us and looked me from my head to toe. I wore black skinny jeans, a pair of leather boots and a long-sleeved beige crop top. The women hold my head softly up  with her pointing finger and stared in my eyes then smiled. Her smile reminded me to my mother's. Anthony didn't let her hand from his and came next to her. Anne turned to me and said.

- So you know everything yet you came here. I don't know if you are brave or crazy -she smiled and her smile made me calm. Something made me feel that they are my soon to be in laws. So now I was just as nervous as someone who meets her loved one's parents for the first time.

- You have a very unique look- Anthony said and he hold my hand to check on my tattoos. I didn't know if this was a compliment or not.

- Well I can be called anything but ordinary - I grinned and this made them smile a little.

- Sorry for this scene, but Wilson told us that you are a human and we wanted to see well... - Anthony scratched the back of his neck.

- You wanted to see if I pee myself for being basically kidnapped, and interrogated having two bear sized wolves at my back? - Anne and Wilson laughed.

- Sort of - Anthony laughed as well and Anne said.

- Apart of this we wanted to see if you are aware of what you are getting yourself into.

- I'm perfectly aware of it and I hope I won't disappoint anyone.

- Our pack doesn’t like humans so you will have to work really hard to gain their respect and love -Wilson said.

- I will do my best.

- In that case, welcome to the family love! - Anne wanted to give me a hug but I stopped her she was confused.

- Thank you and I would accept the hug as well, I just don't want to burn you - I took of my silver necklace and gave a bear hug to Ryder's mom. She had to bend down a little for this and from the back of her shoulder I saw Anthony and Wilson glancing at me with some appreciation in their eyes. We started to walk back to the house. “Parents- in- laws unchecked.”

Ryder

My heart filled with dread. My wolf wanted to come out and run after him.

- "HE TOOK OUR MATE! HE IS GOING TO KILL HER!

- This motherfucker closed us inside this cursed wolf-proof car! – I cursed and my heartbeat fastened even more.

- Hey! You are talking about my father! - Matthew snarled.

- Guys don't bite each other's neck! We have to get out! -Eric said.

"- HE IS RIGHT!" - my wolf howled.

- You are right we have to find Ariel before is too late. - I was terrified to think that she gets hurt or killed. I will die if something happens to her! My mind was going as fast as a racing car.

- I can't mind-link my father.

- We neither Wilson. - the three of us started to get angrier and angrier. I felt immense pain in my chest and wimped.

- Ryder are you okay? - Matthew asked with worry.

- No, I'm not. My mate is out there and in danger and I can't do anything. Call someone from the pack! -Eric tried to call Chloe, she is one of the she-wolves who is totally obsessed with me but poor Eric had a crush on her.

- Chloe is coming. - he said.

- Wonderful... Another problem. - Matthew said. He couldn't stand her, because she played and slept with a lot of guys and took advantage of Eric's crush on her to get closer to me. For me, she was always indifferent. Sexy but indifferent and now even more.

- At least we gotta get out of here - Chloe came in the garage running and opened the car doors from outside. She smiled at me and wanted to tease me. She was one head smaller than I, with short blonde bob hair, almond-shaped black eyes, and sun kissed skin. She was fit and always dressed in short skirts to show her nice legs.

- Hi Ryder, why were you closed in there? - she asked and walked playfully her fingers up my chest - Were you punished for being a bad boy? - Okay that's enough! I took her hand off from me and started to run searching for Ariel's smell. Eric and Matt followed me leaving the confused Chloe alone.

- I can smell Wilson and Ariel! They are close! - Eric said. I stopped in a glade and they did the same next to me looking confused.

- And they are not alone. - I said. At this moment I heard Roo's angelic voice and my heart fastened, even more, it was already beating fast because of running and anger but now I felt relieved. At the other side of the glade Ariel appeared from the forest alongside Wilson and my parents, they were chatting and laughing. I was standing there with my friends like we grow roots. Wilson walked to me with his hands in his pocket and hit my shoulder a little with his left hand.

- Sorry kiddo, it was your father's plan I just made my duty - he grinned. I was still angry but seeing that Ariel was fine, I hugged my godfather.

- Next time don't do this, I was really ready to kill you.

- I know, I told your father everything by mind-link. We all wanted to make sure that this time you have feelings for the right person and if she is really your mate - Ariel and my parents arrived as well. I ran to her got her in my arms and spun her around.

- Hey take me down I'm getting dizzy! - she giggled. Oh her sweet voice made me smile. I put her down smiling at her and pulled her so close to my chest as was possible. She was breathing heavily and giggled while I stared into her emerald green eyes and tried to dive in them with my glance. Our lips met in a kiss. I was kissing her like this was the last kiss we can share and promised myself that from today I won't take any moment for granted with her. When we finished kissing I let her and went to my father. I punched him in his chest. Ariel gasped and my mother got angry.

- Ryder Shadow what the hell are you doing?!

- Anne Shadow did you just swear? - My mother got her hand in front of her mouth and I laughed. My father took advantage of me being distracted and grabbed me with his left arm around my neck forced me to bow down and with his right fist, he rubbed the top of my head. Everyone was laughing at this point and when he let me go I said.

- Don't shame me in front of my mate!

- Sorry son this was necessary I mean the whole bringing a heart attack to you. We wanted to see if she knows what she is doing.

- And? – my parents smiled at me and my mom said:

- We are glad to have her in your life. Take care of her! - I walked to Ariel who was smiling all the time and blushing a little.

- I will - Ariel and I both grinned and kissed. I heard my family and closest friends say some "awh" but also there was another voice...

- What the hell is happening here? - We turned in the voice's direction and there was Chloe with her eyes filled with hatred and she was staring right at Ariel.
