Ashlyn When I awoke, it was morning, and the light was coming in from around the curtains. I went to grab my phone off the nightstand, hissing out in pain. My side started throbbing, and the pain was sharp. I got my phone by breathing through the pain. Mason still hadn’t texted me when I turned my phone on, so I called him. I had to explain what had happened. It rang and then went to voicemail. I guess he ignored it. Sighing, I texted him. Me: Mason, please call me. It’s important. After receiving nothing back, I tried to find the motivation to get out of bed. I stumbled to the bathroom to change my bandage and to shower. I needed to keep the wound clean.
