HER DOUBT

"Where do you think you are going?" A girl in her teen years asked the butler as he rushed across the hall with a bottle of almond oil and a white satin handkerchief.  "She needs it my lady. She won't stop insisting on it" He responded slowing down his pace trying so hard to control his breath.  "Again? Why does she obsess over her skin so much?" The young sinister complained in terror. 'I know she is 20 but that doesn't mean she has no responsibilities too. Why does she keep slacking off?" "She will get upset if I don't get it on time Princess Gina. She is at that time of the month again" He explained with his head bowed in respect.  "Sure, she gets way dramatic during her period. I will be having mine next week so I request to be brought the most expensive harp players and 20 bouquet of flowers since it's a rule every princess in her period should be petted' The Butler stared up in confusion. Was she serious? It was so obvious he had no idea how to react to this. "I was just joking. To be a lady isn't easy anyways so try and treat me special too during my darkest days. Thank you". She concluded and turned to walk down the hallway. Her long brown silky hair swayed side by side like a dog wiggling its tail as she cat-walked her way out of view. Her pink adorable gown matched well with her pink bow and pink lipstick. They all shone in the bright hallway light. The butler rushed off immediately to get his task done before he could get a chance to be fired. He approached a large old wooden double door which was polished with the best wood paint in Keriva. Swinging the door open,he caught sight of someone hidden underneath the royal bedsheet on a king sized bed.  "It's here My Lady" He said as he leaned forward to her with a bow.  "What took you so long? My skin is so brittle now" A high pitched female voice said from underneath the sheet. "I almost thought George would have to see me in my worst form"  "I am sorry your highness. Your sister..." He was cut short by her grumble.  "The young girl. She never stops getting jealous of me does she?"   She mumbled under her breath. Finally taking off the sheet off her face, she revealed her beautiful oval shaped blue eyes and her black long silky hair which kept getting in the way of her face due to the strong wind blowing outside. Her skin was beige in color and her nose looked very pointed. Her lips looked so small and seductive. She'd often try to make fun of her servants by smacking it at them. At first she thought it was both adorable and cool to see the reaction on their faces, later finding out it arouses the male workers made her feel like a fool. She sat up revealing her long white satin gown and pushed her hair to the back trying to prevent it from getting in her eyes.  "I can close the window if you wish My Lady" The butler offered.  "No. Do not do that" She said softly as she stared at the peach tree by her window. "The view of the rain fascinates me a lot. It relieves me of the pain I feel right now"  "Alright my lady. If you say so. Do you need any other thing?" She shook her head and smiled.  "You have done so much for me. I think you should go home and take the day off. I will get my helper to help me" "No My Lady. The Queen won't smile at that" He answered almost immediately she said that.  "Why won't she? She won't even notice anyway. There are about 20 butlers on this palace. She will barely know if one went missing. Come on, have faith in me. I am closer to my mum than ever. I will ensure she doesn't fire you" She promised taking one of his hands in hers. His hands seemed really cold. She panicked with concern. "Are you feeling good?" "Yes my lady. I just came from the cold room" He explained.  "O I see. Do well to let me know if you need anything" She instructed him. The butler only nodded and walked off after one more bow. She knew well he would never request anything from her anyway. It was him after all. His character reminded her of her dad. A very independent, hardworking and disciplined man. A kind of man she wished Prince George could be. Prince George was like her breath. He made her heart race faster than usual. Every speech from his lips made sense to her even if they didn't to every other person. He was her bethroned. They do plan to marry the next month per custom. Preparations had already been made concerning the wedding but she was too impatient to wait for a month. She wanted to have her man now. She picked up her almond oil and began rubbing it on her leg, slowly taking a deep breath feeling it strike an arousing feeling in her. She went straight to her arm and her neck. Her mind wandered to her mum's earlier announcement that morning as she massaged her skin slowly.  "Those stupid emotionless beast are here again after 20 years to devour us and take someone among us. We have to be very careful. It's our responsibility to keep each other safe in the Kingdom.  We cannot afford to lose any other female here" Her mum voice had echoed the loud room that morning during the early morning annoucement. Though Olivia couldn't fully understand why there was a.conflict between the two entities in the first place but she'd know a murder always occurs every twenty years something she doesn't understand concerning the werewolves. They'd come in their human form to seduce what they seem to call their mate and force her to join their pack. It would have been cool if they'd still leave the girl alive after all this but no, they didn't. They ended up devouring her instead, trying to fulfil their legend or whatever. This thoughts only made Olivia cringe. "Stupid Creatures" She muttered to herself.  "Mum, do you have any idea who the next mate will be? We need to protect our females" She remembered asking her mum. Her mum shook her head in frustration.  "We never know Olivia. Their mates are mere human beings like us. We just have to be careful with those we encounter and form connections with"  "At least George isn't a werewolf" she smiled at herself sheepishly. Her mum agreed with a nod.  "We will ensure all the ladies are safe".  *** "I wonder if I could be the mate" Gina said as she walked down the garden with her elder sister who was busy feeding the birds with nuts.  "You are too young. The mate of a werewolf should be above eighteen years. You are very well safe" "Too bad. I would have really loved to experience the werewolf life though" The teen scoffed. "But you aren't entirely safe Olivia. You are 20 this year"  "I have a bethroned prince. A werewolf won't want someone who is already bethroned to someone else. According to mum, werewolves have pride and tend to opt for what they deserve. No werewolf will want someone who is bethroned." Olivia explained with a friendly smile.  "I don't think that is entirely true because werewolves naturally feel a bond with their mates right? Even if you are bethroned, if a werewolf has a liking for you, he will opt for you no matter what. It gets worse if you both bond with each other physically and emotionally" Olivia was quiet for a moment hearing this. She began to feel her heart race pretty fast now. Could her sister be right? Was a there a chance she could lose George?  "Stop scaring me Gina. Naughty girl" She lashed at her pulling her cheeks. The young girl howled in pain.  "Come on, I am not lying am I? You aren't 100% safe and besides George isn't even your husband yet. How are you sure you won't be with a werewolf by next week?"  "I don't want to discuss this anymore. I belong to George and no one else. Even if a damn stupid werewolf of a thing tries to come and lure me into its pack, there is always a knife at hand. You know where that knife would go" The anger and fear in her voice startled her sister.  "You really love this George don't you? You don't want to lose him at all"  "You will understand when you find love Gina. It really hurts to lose someone you care about. No wolf will take my prince from me"  She explained as she gave the last nut to the last bird.  "You might be a pain in the neck but you are still my sister. Whatever makes you happy makes me happy too" Gina told her with a nice smile. Olivia brushed her hair playfully and proceeded to give her a warm hug. She could feel her heart sink and her mind race as she thought of what Gina said. There could actually be a truth in this. She was also a maiden too. What if the werewolf would want her? She couldn't just sit back and watch this unfair act happen to her.  *** George had his chariot pull over in front of the palace. He climbed out slowly and took his time to admire the exterior beauty of the palace design. The old marble walls did a great job in getting it stand out from the rest of the buildings around the palace. It had its location selected on top of the hill so as for it to be viewed by the entire kingdom. It had three different floors and the best of all, each floor had it's own purpose. This was very much unlike his palace back at home where they only had two floors and each rooms did basically nothing. His father felt so lazy to do anything about it. There are four lives living in that house so basically four rooms were functional. The rest of the 36 rooms were for mere decorations.  "Welcome George" The welcoming voice of the Queen brought him out of his deep thoughts. He bowed kissing the back of her palm.  "I am so delighted to be here" He responded.  "How is your father? I heard he opened a new factory in Gork again"  "Yes he did. He wants more revenue for the expansion of his land" "Sometimes I just don't understand your family. What does your dad need all those lands for anyways? He has about 13 of them already" "He would never tell me. He hates discussing his business with me for some reason" "And you never care to investigate or ask?" She asked with surprised.  "I try but I also have things to do myself" he sounded a little cold. The Queen was quiet for a moment. She patted his cheek and proceeded.  "My daughter has been waiting for you the whole morning. Please go and meet her in the orchard. I am sure she will be so delighted to meet you"  "Why not her chambers though?" He asked with an uncomfortable expression.  "She is still my daughter and you are both no married yet. You should know your boundaries young man" The Queen warned trying as much as possible to be polite with him. He nodded and apologized. "The butler will lead you to the orchard.  *** Olivia could feel herself grow impatient as she sat on a small bench waiting for her soulmate to meet her up. She'd been sitting there for like 30 minutes now and there was no sign of him yet. As she sat waiting for him the thought of the werewolf kept coming back into her mind. She could not stop thinking about her sister's words to her. O! My! Why was she obsessing over this so much? Why was she getting insecure now? She wasn't the only maiden in this world right? Her eyes suddenly caught George walking into the orchard from the front gate. She felt an adrenaline rush through her mixed with teary eyes. "George!" She called out emotionally rushing to hug him tight. "I missed you so much" "Are you fine? Why are you crying so much?" He asked in confusion.  "Nothing. I am just so happy to see you" she responded staring deep into his eyes with her cheeks still wet with tears.  "I hate seeing you waste this jewels" George told her wiping them off. "You are more precious to me than anyone else. I can't bare seeing you cry"  "I can't bare to lose you at all. Please promise you will never leave me" She insisted.  "Why will I leave you Olivia? You are my bethroned"  "I don't care. Just promise me" She insisted again.  He nodded in agreement.  "You know I will never do that". They both gave each other a very long intimate stare. Olivia could feel her mind getting distracted with the werewolf thoughts. For some reason she didn't have a good feeling about this. Her thought of losing George only made her more scared about the future. She could see George head tilt toward her and proceeding to kiss her. Their lips smooched each other. She felt his arm wrap around her waist as he drew closer to her. He pulled her closer toward his chest and began caressing her skin. Suddenly she felt sick and pushed him off throwing up into the nearby bush where she stood.  "Why this again? Why do you keep throwing up?" George asked in anger.  "I don't know. I swear. I just suddenly feel nauseous"  "Does this happen with every man because I can barely remember a day we kissed that you didn't throw up"  "You are the only man I have had a relationship with. I swear, I must have eaten something bad"  "This is so abnormal Olivia. Sometimes I just wonder if my breath stinks but I do recall I used a mint this morning so, I will accept it doesn't. You know how embarrassing this is" "You think this is not embarrassing for me too. You think I feel happy always feeling nauseous when we try to get intimate" "Well that is why we never get intimate because something or a situation always prevents me from getting under your robes. I don't understand what to think of this. Are you doing all this on purpose so that I don't get intimate with you?" He asked desperately. "Do you want us to bond after marriage?" "No. I want us to bond now. I am sure it's nothing. I am sure it's just an allergy" "I am really scared for you Olivia. I just hope this isn't what I am thinking right now. I hope you aren't meant for that Alpha thing because I will so so angry if I discover that the reason why I can't get intimate with you is because you belong to that beast. " He roared at her making her leap in fright. Her biggest fear was about to occur. Even George doubted her now. Tears began flowing down her eyes again.  "How dare you George? How could you even think of that? You don't know how much your words hurt me right now" Her voice cracked as she spoke. She sounded so bitter as if his words had really pierced her heart so bad with a sharp sword. Prince George felt his heart break. He realized how far he had crossed his boundaries and felt regrets on the words he chose to speak. Sighing, he walked toward her and drew her closer to him for a warm hug.  "I am very sorry Olivia. I was selfish. I wasn't thinking" He apologized into her ears with his whisper tone. The tone she found sexy.  "You don't realize how much I am yearning to give myself to you. I am so tired of being a virgin. I want you soon" She pleaded.  "We will fulfill your wish by next week love. I will be traveling for a week so I do hope we throw a grand party as soon as I arrive back. A party for just the two of us" He told her with a calm voice. She smiled and nodded happily.  "I will prove to you I am not a mate to an Alpha"  *** The rainfall was one of the heaviest so far in the forest that year. All the animals crawled into any shelter they saw scared of getting their furs wet. The animals that were already drenched swayed so hard in order to get themselves dry but not without getting the other animals around them wet as well. The forest of Kervi is known to be one of the most peaceful forest. Perhaps it was one of the most peaceful forest before it got infested by werewolves the previous six months. The werewolves were said to have been back from their hibernation after so long. They had a mission which stated that every twenty years, the present Alpha was to be presented a mate who would be a key for them to gain more respect among the werewolves of the other colonies. Presently, the Golden werewolves were known for their dominant and aggressive obsession for power and fame. Though they seemed to be feared by the other colony of werewolves and were barely messed with, this never stopped them to strive for more power. It was a common custom for the Alpha to have a brother who would choose a partner to help conceive another Alpha. And as for the Alpha himself, his mission was only to seek for his other half and make use of her at the right moment. Though it was considered a taboo and bad luck if the mate of the Alpha turns out to conceive instead. The Alpha will be left with two options on whether to murder his mate and her baby or step down from being an Alpha and letting his brother take over. This often makes the Alpha lose respect before the eyes of the other werewolves. He becomes more vulnerable. So many opportunities would be deprived from him and he might be treated as a slave if need may be. No Alpha wanted this which is why a rule had been made against Alphas having anything intimate with their mates during their first encounter. Investigating and studying her was always considered very important before any form of intimate connection could be acceptable. This was a strict rule the Alphas followed every twenty years so it was no doubt the present Alpha, Dave could do the same. He made his way toward the front of the cage and watched the rain fall causing a pond before the entrance.  "You're ready to find your mate?" He heard his mum asked as she joined him twitching her whiskers.  "Soon" He responded with his deep voice..
