Chapter 5: The Wedding Arrangements

Selene's P.O.V.
The weekend passed by quickly and even before I realized it, it was already time to meet my future "wife" and my mother in law to talk about the wedding.
Celest's mother will be joining us because she is afraid that her daughter will try to fake the wedding, and also, she is the supposed "wedding planner" so naturally she had to be there.
It was eight o' clock in the morning and I was supposed to meet them by nine. So, I still have an hour to get ready.
I took a bath and wore a casual dress.
After that, I decided to be on my way to the posh café that we are meeting in.
Mrs. Knight and I agreed that we will talk about everything over breakfast.
After I arrived at my destination, I went out of my broken-down car and entered the café.
I started looking for Celest and her mom.
I spotted Mrs. Knight and I approached her.
"Hi sweetie! You are just on time. Unfortunately, my daughter is not here yet. She's probably with one of her women." She said apologetically.
"It's okay Mrs. Knight. We can wait for her some more and let's bond for a while." I replied while giving her a polite smile.
"Aww... Selene, you are such a sweetheart, that is why I picked you as my daughter's future wife. When your mother and I reunited, your mom mentioned you and she could not stop talking about how proud she is of you and how much of a good girl you are. Anyways, sweetie, why are you calling me Mrs. Knight? You can just call me Rose or mom if you like." She said joyfully.
When I was about to reply, Celest suddenly arrived and greeted her mom.
"Hi mom, sorry I was late. I got busy with something" she said, giving her mom a kiss.
I silently scoffed to myself.
She was probably "busy" eating face with another woman or worse eating something else....
I thought to myself.
"Excuse me? Why do you even care if I was eating some other woman's p*ssy? If you wanted to know so badly, yes, I was doing just that, happy now?" she said with a matter of fact tone.
Feeling shocked that I said that out loud, I just stayed silent and didn't answer.
"Celest, how dare you talk to your future wife like that? Did you really think that she or I wanted to hear about your s****l exploits this morning? Now take your seat and let's start our discussion." Rose said, trying to contain her anger.
After receiving our breakfast, we started talking about the wedding.
"So, where do the two of you want to get married? Canada? Paris? Or Spain?" She asked enthusiastically.
Before I had the chance to speak Celest started talking.
"Mom, can't we just have a simple discrete wedding here?" She asked hopefully.
"No honey, you and Selene will have a grand wedding and that is final. I want everyone to know that you're getting married, so that you other "girlfriends" will back off already. So where shall it be?" She asked.
"Let's just have it in Canada its way nearer and less hassle." I stated
"Oh no sweetie! Don't worry about the hassle, I am going to take care of everything. Besides, I think the wedding should be in Paris. After the wedding, you can stay awhile and have your honeymoon there. After all, Paris is the city of love, it is the perfect place for you two, to develop feelings for each other." She happily suggested.
"You know mom, we already have feelings for each other, it's called hatred or loathe if you prefer." Celest said mocking.
"Shut your mouth, Celest and just follow your mother's wish. You two shall and will marry in Paris, agreed?" Mrs. Knight asked
"Do we have a choice?" We said in unison.
"Nope, now that's settled, we should move on with the date."
"Let's have the wedding next.... next.... CENTURY."
"Stop it with the sarcasm Celest, I don't appreciate it. I think you two should marry next week."
"Next week?! Mother, are you on some kind of medications, that I should know about?!" Celest said in shock.
"Mrs. Knight, don't you think next week is a little too rushed? Besides, how can you finish the arrangements in that short duration?" I asked, quite scared of the older woman's crazy suggestion.
"Don't worry about it, sweetie, all the arrangements are already finished. You two just need to attend and it is all in order." She joyously confessed.
"You know mom, if you have already decided on every single thing about the wedding, why did you have to invite us here?" Celest said tired of her mother's whims.
"Well of course honey, this is your wedding. I would like to verify and ask for any suggestions or any alterations that you two want to make." Mrs. Knight informed.
"Is it really mom? Is it really our wedding? Everything has been decided without our consent."
"Celest, stop it. You are being very disrespectful to your mother." I said trying to calm her down.
"Shut the f*ck up, I don't f*cking care anymore. I'm out of here." She said before leaving me with her mom.
"I'm really sorry." I said apologetically
She suddenly laughed and said,
"You don't have to apologize because of my daughter. We are quite used to her attitude. Selene, please don't misunderstand our daughter. She became like that because she was a little misguided.
We spoil her like crazy because she is our one and only child. Hopefully, being with you could make her a better person. So, please extend your patience.
Also, I'm sorry if I went overboard and became an overbearing mother with your wedding plans." She said with a gentle tone of a loving mother.
"It's okay Mrs. Rose. I'll try to get along with her but it might be difficult." I said honestly.
"You are such a darling. Well, I think that is enough drama for today. We should probably go now."
We got out of the café then said our goodbyes.
I entered my rotten car and started driving home.
