1144 Words
Lisa is currently walking in a hallway of the apartment she's living in with her boyfriend. She just got back from having classes in the campus while Lucas is still in the campus. Right after she get change, she's going to go straight to her work place. She have been working as a part time job waitress at one of the cafe around her campus area. She didn't get paid that much, she just want an experience. She pulled out a key from her bag and about to put the key into the hole, but the door pushed open slightly. She have two thoughts in her mind, it's either her brothers or someone broke in to her house. "Jac?" She called out her brother's name before walking in, just in case. "Yes?" When a replied is heard, she continued to walk in casually to the house. She put her bag on to the coffee table next to the kitchen entrance and found her brother sitting comfortably with a snack on the couch. "What are you doing here?" Lisa asked. "Nothing, just checking up on you, per usual." He replied, glancing at her for a few seconds before focusing back to the television. When she's going to have a glass of water, her eyes fixed on something he eats. "Did you eat my cherries?" She asked, pointing to the box of cherries she just bought yesterday. Since she's craving to have some lately. That's weird. "This is yours?" Jacques lifted the box up to her sight. He questioned her like it was a news to him and it was. "Yes." She confirmed, still eyeing the box while her hand is holding the filled glass of water. She haven't had the chance to drink it after noticing the cherry's box. "Since when?" He asked, still couldn't wrapped his mind around the fact that Lisa ate cherries now. "Now." She nodded her head in determined. "You sure?" He asked again, because he's still not satisfied and felt like she was bluffing. "Yes, Jac. I ate those cherries." "You hate cherries." Jacques is saying another thing while she is so sure about her answer. "These are a very sweet cherries. You hate something this sweet. You're not a sweet tooth like father." He explained thoroughly. "Leave me alone. I need to get to work now." Lisa said, drink up the water from the glass and put the glass in the sink. She walked to the bedroom and close the door. “We don’t need you there.” Jacques joked loudly to her. He can say that since the café she’s working is owned by him and he would never let his sister work if it wasn’t for their father who threatened him to give her the job as a part time. Their father would literally give the café to her, his hard-working and clean business. -                                        Lisa is almost finish with her shift and she’s excited to leave work, because Lucas is already waiting for her. She didn’t stay until the closing time, because she only work for five hours and in that five hours she doesn’t get a break, since her work time is shorter than the others. She wiped the last water drop on the counter she just made coffee on and she’s free to go now. “I’m going now. Hope you can last, Kayla.” Lisa said to the other employee while waving goodbye to her. She turned around to face the front and to look for her boyfriend. But, her eyes fell on the guy who just walked in to the café. The time seem to stop when he walked in, Daniel. She still remember him, she couldn’t forget about him. How could she, when he gave her the best night of her life? She slightly regret it, but not really. She felt bad for doing it while she have a boyfriend and she didn’t tell him yet, because she just couldn’t. Lucas is the best guy she could ask for and her family all agreed with their relationship. But after being with Daniel, she realized her feeling for Lucas. Lucas is just like her comfort and a guy who is willing to be there for her every day. Their relationship is real, but it doesn’t feel real like she was with Daniel. What is wrong with her? When their eyes met, Lisa quickly looked away. She can’t make eye contact with those blue eyes or she will see the end. She take off her apron in a hurry and hang it where they are supposed to be, before walking to the locker room to get her bag. A different expression shown by Daniel, his smiley face flatter seeing her running away. He is a little hurt by her action, but he continued to keep going and order a coffee for himself. He was waiting in line when Lisa come out from the locker room and go straight to Lucas’s arms which have been waiting for her. Daniel saw that and he didn’t want to lie, it hurts him to find out that she already have a boyfriend. How stupid were they? “Ready to go home?” Lucas asked while squeezing her in a hug. It was the best feeling ever when she go home after a long day to her partner’s arms. Nothing could beat the feeling. “Yes, let’s go.” Lisa nodded eagerly. She wanted to get out of the café as soon as possible and she’s trying not to look back to save their feelings. This was the reason why she never do one night stand when she’s single. She doesn’t want the strings attach. But the worst about this is she did it while she is in a relationship that is way perfect to be true. “Can I take your order now?” Kayla’s voice woke him up from his staring moment. Kayla noticed him and the way he looked at Lisa and Lucas. She didn’t know the guy, but she sure know that the guy looked like he just got heartbroken from seeing the lovely couple. And she knows the fact that Lisa have only been with Lucas ever since she started working at the café. “One black coffee, please.” Daniel ordered right away. He would usually go for a latte, but right now he felt like he needs to drink the bitter away with the bitterness of coffee. Why does it have to hurt like this? He wondered. All they did was just having s*x for one night.
