Lucas picked her up at the café when her work shift ended. They are now at the house. The both of them can already felt the tension rising up after getting out of the café. There’s nothing much they can talk about on the way home. But now that they are home, the question is bound to be asked. Since he have known that she went to the doctor today. After they cleaned up, Lisa offered to cook for dinner. “What did the doctor say?” Lucas finally asked. He’s currently sitting on the bed while waiting for her to be done tying her hair up into a messy bun. He looked at her warily. She couldn’t answer him right away, because she felt her lips is being stitched together. She’s nervous and that alone can be seen with bare eyes. Seeing her acting like that make him even more anxious to find out. Would he want to? “What is it, baby?” Lucas encouraged her to tell him and Lisa closed her eyes as soon as he called her ‘baby’. She wanted to memorized that in her mind, because it might be the last she will ever heard him calling her by that. “I’m pregnant.” She groggily looked up to him and he is stilled. The air becomes tightened, looks like it make them hard to breath and on top of that, there’s an unbearable silence surrounding them. She is fidgeting her fingers together nervously while looking at his stilled state. “You slept with another guy?” He suppressed his anger, telling himself that he can’t let out his anger in front of her. He’s trying to cool down and not do anything that will hurt the both of them even more. “I did.” She let out a deep breath out of shame and put her head down. She can’t bring herself to look at him like that. “Who is he?” Lucas stared at her deeply, even though she’s not looking. “His name was Daniel.” She replied lowly. “That’s it?” Even though it sounded bitter coming out of his mouth, he can’t help that. He thought that how could she done that to herself? Sleeping with a stranger and only know his first name? That Daniel name could be any guy in the city. How will she recognize him just by the first name? “Yes, I met him at the party.” “It was a month ago! You didn’t have the desire to tell me at all?” He got up from the bed, stomping his feet as he got up. He couldn’t hide his anger anymore. She have been hiding it from him for a month and acted like everything was all right. “Look at me, Lisa. How could you do that to me?!” He grabbed her shoulders to make her look up to him. His eyes is redden by now, trying to hold back his anger and tears. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it will be like this.” She let out a sobbed, feeling really guilty. “Of course you wouldn’t know. You don’t even know who he is.” Lucas said, throwing her shoulders away gently. He is upset, but he would never harm her in any ways. He turned around and look out of the window. He inhale and exhale in a steady rhythm. “I saw him at the café a few days ago.” Lisa said, feeling like she should tell him and not. But she is going to come clean to him. “Did he recognize you?” He asked calmly, still looking out of the window. The dusk is slowly approaching. An orangey color, which doesn’t look like his heart right now that is clouded with a gray and dark colors. “I think so.” She frowned and slowly bring her head up, because she knows he’s not looking. “You should talk to him then.” Lisa is surprised to hear him say that. “Huh?” Still clueless as to why he wanted her to talk to him. She doesn’t even know him well. She would just leave him alone and move on. But she will want to know where their relationship is going after this. “Tell him that you’re pregnant with his kid, then tell me what his answer is.” He said, but he’s not finished talking yet. “I’ll be at my friend’s dorm. You can call me after you have the answer.” He have made up his mind. He grabbed his phone and jacket and leave the room in a quick motion. Lisa is panicked seeing him move so fast. “Lucas, wait.” He stopped, but didn’t turned back. He waited for her to continue with the talking. “What… what will happen to us now?” She asked in fear. She doesn’t want him to leave like this. She want him to be here with her. “Just talk to him first, then I will tell you what will happen to us.” Lucas replied rather coldly. He grabbed the door knob and pulled the door to walk through. Lisa, who is still standing at her spot watched him leave. All the sadness just poured in at once and she broke down in tears. She need someone to hold on. She’s scared now. “Lisa.” After a few minutes of her crying on the floor and curled up to herself, she could heard her name being called. She’s so familiar with that voice. She quickly looked up and feeling a little moved. He showed up to the door frame and dropped down to his knees in front of her, then he pull her into his arms. She continued to cry in his arms and just let herself out. “Where is he? Where’s Lucas?” Jacques asked while looking around to find no one and only his sister in the room. That is why the door isn’t locked? He left. “It’s okay now, I’m here.” Jacques tried to calm her down, caressing her hair softly while holding her in his arms. Outside of the room, there’s another brother who is watching over them. He doesn’t want to come close to them now. Because he knows she doesn’t want to see him at the moment. Jacques is always the soft-hearted brother from the two, that’s why he leave this matter to him. Luis tear up seeing his sister looked heartbroken. His hands is eager to throw some punches or have some blades to practice. He’s going to find that guy and he won’t let him slide so easily.
