It was getting more difficult to restrain myself from touching her, whenever she was near. The mate bond between us was strong, stronger than even a magnetic pull. It's difficult when your mate is close by and you can’t touch them, it feels like your system is malfunctioning.
To an extent, I could tell Mia felt the same way, and whatever she was doing to restrain herself must be exhausting for her.
That was why seeing her with Kelvin made me want to put my claws through his throat, for touching her. It was obvious he wanted her, and the reasons I doubted were genuine.
Even if they were, I still wouldn't want him near her, she was mine, mine alone.
Mia is a very attractive woman but also quite innocent. Guys like Kelvin always want to take advantage of that.
