Chapter Seven Brodie entered the kitchen through the back door, pulling off his sweat-lined straw hat. Wiping his forehead, he paused, relishing the cool interior and letting his eyes adjust to the dimmer light. His head still hurt, and he was still pissed as hell at about the turn of events.
