Ella’s POV
After the coronation was over, I followed Remo to his office. After I shifted I could feel a new sense of confidence. I wasn’t that afraid of him anymore, because I knew that now I can defend myself.
And I knew that Remo crowned me his Luna, he will never hurt me. But there is a doubt that lived in my heart. It wasn’t in my power to crash it, but I hope that with time it would vanish.
I am a Luna now, I have duties I have to perform. Although I don’t really know what my duties are, but I will learn in time.
We entered the office and everything amazed me in this place.
As soon as I entered the office I felt the power and dominance it exudes. The rich sent of pine hit my nose instantly.
The space was large, with walls paneled in rich, dark oak.
A grand, solid mahogany desk sits in the center, polished to a gleaming finish. Behind the desk there was a high-backed leather chair, deep brown and intricately detailed.
Shelves line the walls, filled with books, that I know holds the history of all the packs.
The floors are hardwood, complementing the walls, and every detail in the office communicates control, focus and unyielding ambition.
Exactly how I would have imagined Remo’s office. He sat on his chair and I sat on the chair in front of the desk.
I looked up at him, feeling his eyes on me. He furrowed his eyebrows his eyes shifting from me to the door.
The door opened and revealed Christian and Maddox.
Maddox scared me the most. He had a haunting look in his eyes, like he is ready to kill anyone that dared to look at him.
But being the Luna I knew he wouldn’t touch me, especially not in front of Remo.
“Mate.” I turned my head to look at Remo. “You have black fur. Only a person who has alpha blood can have black fur.” He said trying to understand something.
“What?” I asked in disbelief. My dad was an omega so was my mom. There was no way I would have alpha blood in me.
“Do you recall anything before your father passed away?” He asked.
“He was an omega that’s what they told me.” I replied.
“You are a mystery mate. But I will reveal it.” Remo said.
“I have to know my past in order to understand why I have black fur.” I said with doubt in my heart.
“Leave.” He said and I furrowed my eyebrows.
Chris and Maddox left the office silently.
“Come here.” Remo ordered and I stood up hesitantly.
He stood up too and once I reached him, he pulled me by my waist. He twirled a strand of my hair on his finger.
My heart was beating fast with this gesture. I was stunned by his action, and I froze in his hands.
“Tell me mate. I want to know everything.” He said lowly, his voice deepening.
I was lost at words unable to say anything. There are times where he gets all touchy with me, other times he stays away from me. I can’t under keep up with him.
“I told you everything. You already know I am an omega.” I replied looking at the floor.
“There is no way an omega can have black fur.” He replied. “But it’s fine. I want you not to worry about anything.” His touch was gentle unlike his hard eyes.
He was touching me with hands he kill with. Was I okay with it?
There was a knock on the door and I stepped back.
“King!” Chris said distressed.
“Ella stay here.” Remo said making sure I was okay and he left.
That’s when I realized that he called me by my name. And my heart skipped a beat at that.
Remo’s POV
“What the fück happened here?” I boomed as I look at four of my pack members dead on the borders.
There was a note on the floor and I opened it.
‘The power blinds even the strongest. Your reign has been long, but all empires crumble. You may think yourself untouchable, surrounded by those who fear you, but fear is a fragile thing. Prepare for what is coming. Congratulations on finding your Luna, King!’
I crumbled the paper in my hand trying not to let my control slip from my hands.
There is a mothefücking traitor amongst us and I will be damned if I don’t find him.
“When I catch this son of a bïtch I am going to make his head a portrait.” I said calmly.
I looked at the Chris and nodded.
“Make them a decent funeral.” I ordered leaving the scene.
I knew that once I found a mate I will have a fücking weakness. I have to protect her. I have to train her so she can defend herself.
Crazy.
Monster.
Killer.
That’s what they call me. They will see what those three combined will make me do.
I shifted into my wolf and started running around the borders to make sure all the soldiers are okay and there are no more bodies.
Maddox was following me and I halted in my steps.
“We need to kill.” He said shifting back to his human form.
I nodded and howled. It was a warning howl for the pack. I transformed back to my human form and followed Maddox to the dungeon.
“What do we have?” I asked getting ready.
“This time we have a woman.” I looked at him with curiosity.
“Let’s have a look.”
We entered the cell and I instantly felt a bad feeling. There was something dark surrounding this woman.
“Who is she?” I asked.
“Her name is Ravenna.” A soldier said holding her head up by the hair. “She was found trying to practice magic.”
Maddox stiffened.
“Witch!” I growled looking at her smirk.
“I hoped I could become one. But sadly I didn’t succeed. But no worries king. Witches will be back.”
“There is no fücking way. We killed them all.” Maddox snarled ready to jump on her.
Ravenna didn’t say anything else, and she started laughing manically. She bit inside her cheek and fell dead on the floor.
She killed herself.
Witches. Traitors. Enemies.
“We have to watch our backs.” I told Maddox.
