Lana spent the day laying in bed. She stared at the ceiling occasionally holding her breath until her lungs were on fire. Before the latest revelation she had decided to attempt to live. She was nowhere near retirement age. She could maybe find new love. The very thought made her feel like she was betraying Levi. It dawned on her that she missed out on her 20's, maybe she would try to live vicariously through Reeza. If she could at least be friends with Reeza, she could live a life where she didn't contemplate death on a daily basis.
"Madam Stacy you have a call from Doctor Travis Leheim. Would you like me to put him through?" Enid asked over the intercom.
"Yes go ahead and patch him through."
Lana did not quite know who the doctor was but she wanted to find out.
"Good evening Ms Stacy. I am not sure if you remember me. We met at the main house after your partners will reading."
"Ahh yes. I remember. How can I help you?" Lana was embarrassed, this man saw her being a love crazed lunatic. She was ready for their conversation to be over.
"I wanted to check on you. I know I am the Hindrick's family doctor but I have been worried about you since that day. I apologize if I am being too bold"
"That's nice of you to say. I am suffering from bouts of depression but I also lost the love of my life and found out I was not the love of his life, in a short period of time. So I think I've earned the right to be ill, to be mentally despondent. Don't you think so?"
"I apologize Ms Stacy. I meant no offense. This is only a wellness check, please accept my services if you feel I can be of help to you."
"Can you come see me this evening? Does your services include providing life coaching?"
"Not normally but for you I will gladly make an exception. I can be there in an hour."
"That's great. I will make arrangements." Lana decided to take this opportunity. If she remembered correctly, Travis was a handsome older man. She had never been asked if she needed to talk or had someone care that she was falling apart. Her only fear was that he was reporting back their conversations to anyone.
Lana got out of bed and proceeded to make herself presentable. She was determined to find her place in the world. This past week she has been teetering between living and dying.
"Madam, Sir Hindricks is here to see you." Enid said over the intercom.
Lana leaned over and pressed the intercom. "Let him in."
Lana didn't bother to change out of her gown. She walked over to her visitation room looking like she felt. [It's just Tommy.] When she entered the room Tommy was already being served a cup of coffee. Enid quickly served Lana her favorite tea.
"What brings you here?"
"You look like shit." Tommy said and then burst into laughter.
"You are such a delightful man. Would you like some rat poison with that coffee." Lana said with a straight face. Tommy stopped laughing because he knew Lana had the means and the energy to kill him and look the other way.
"Sorry about that. I came to see you at the office and was told you weren't feeling well. How are you feeling now?"
"I feel deceived. I feel an incomprehensible amount of hatred and love for Levi. I'm falling apart. I can't figure out how to pull myself back together. Is that what you wanted to hear? "Lana looked Tommy in the eyes and sipped her tea without looking away.
"No that is not what I wanted to hear. I want to hear that you will take some time off from work. You shouldn't put so much stress on yourself. And I'm sure being around that woman is not easy."
Lana's hands were trembling. Tommy reached over the table and laid his hand top of hers, guiding the tea cup back to the plate. He held her hand then stood up and walked around the table to Lana. He gathered her from the couch and held her tight in his arms. Lana started to cry, she held him back. He smelled so good. His hug was strong and welcoming. She needed this more than anything. Tommy lifted Lana’s face up and tenderly wiped the tears from it.
"You are young, smart, and beautiful. You can have any man you want. I know you loved Levi but he led a life neither of us knew about. We have to understand that he did what he felt was necessary even if it was at the expense of our happiness."
Lana moved her arms from around Tommy's waist to around his neck. She buried her face into his neck. The change in position caused her satin gown to rise along with Tommy's desire to have Lana. He slowly removed her arms and set her back on the couch.
"You feel better now?"
"Yes a little. Tommy one thing has been bothering me. Why did you leave me after the reading?"
Enid interrupted ,"My lady, The doctor has arrived."
"Well, then I will take my leave." Tommy adjusted his clothing and made his way to the door.
"Tommy! I expect an answer the next time."
Tommy did not turn back, "If you say so, Boss." He walked past Enid with a smirk on his face. Lana was always tough around him.
"My lady, would you like to change?"
"No..Let him in."
When the doctor walked in, Lana's breath got caught in her throat. He was a gorgeous older man. He had to be at least 10 years older than Levi. His salt and pepper hair was a perfect accent for his light green eyes. He was clean shaven. His body was tall and brawny. He might have been a model before he became a doctor. Lana's body tingled with the thought of him touching her.
"What am I thinking?" Lana interrupted her own thoughts.
"Are you feeling okay, Ms. Stacey?" The doctor asked.
"I'm fine, Doctor Leheim." Lana nervously giggled.
"Please call me Travis since this is an unofficial visit."
"Yes...sure..."
Travis took a moment to check Lana's vitals via H.A.I, which were registered throughout the week. Once he made note of the information he sat on a stool in front of Lana. Lana couldn't help staring at him.
"Let's get started. Is there any place that hurts?"
"Right here. It burns inside." Lana took Travis' hand and placed it over her heart. His hands were large and warm. She stared into his eyes gauging his reaction to touching her.
"Travis, how do I stop this burning pain?" Lana pressed his hand firmly against her chest waiting for his response.
He spoke in low growl, "Some pains never go away, they transform into experience. They provide the gravity to keep you grounded in the future." Lana closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his hand. His words moved her to tears. She did not want this experience. She wanted him to erase it.
Travis leaned forward and placed his face closer to Lana's.
"Lana this is pain I can't heal" Travis consoled Lana. His hand dropped in Lana's gown, inadvertently touching her breast. Lana moaned. She was shocked at the sound that came from her.
"I'm sorry Travis. Your touch..." Lana looked away, She was embarrassed but she didn't want him to let go. She covered his hand which still lingered over her breast and guided him in massaging it.
Travis watched Lana move his hand. He was enjoying how her skin felt. He wanted to record this fleeting feeling.
"Lana.... I'm a married man. " Travis said while kneading Lana's breast.
"I'm sorry Tra-" Before Lana could finish her sentence, Travis kissed her lightly, suckling on her top lip. He set slightly back, with his forehead still touching Lana's.
"I've been wanting to kiss you since the first time I saw you. I wish I could take all of your pain and ball it up and toss it away, " Travis kissed Lana's cheek then pulled her body into his arms. Lana wrapped her arms around his neck. She snuggled her face into the side of his neck. His body was so warm and inviting. Travis held her tight, massaging her back.
Lana then whispered in Travis' ear, "I think I may have gotten your pants a little wet." Travis gasped he was so busy holding Lana that he didn't realize her legs were wrapped around him.
"Damn it, Lana" Travis said while trying to catch his breath. Feeling Lana's heat made his member twitch frantically. He wanted to f**k her.
"As a doctor it is my duty to rectify any physical distress that I may have caused." Travis pushed Lana's back against the sofa, then pushed her knees forwards. Seeing Lana without panties and bare, complicated things further.
Lana watched him hover his hand over her slit while he debated whether he should touch her.
