Lana sat in her office mentally reeling from Reeza's actions. She had to take her mind off the little tyrant. She started reviewing the plans for Saturday's Introduction Ball. It was a celebration of a new beginning but also of a somber ending. Among the guest list approvals, Lana had also received over 200 pieces of paper with various approvals needed. Everything from the security team to the menu needed a signature. She was very meticulous about delving out approvals. She took care too make sure everything she approved was worth approving.
Time flew by, she had managed to make it through the day without getting a call.
"Misses? She's a nut case." As soon as Lana finished her thought she received a call from Reeza.
"Meet me in the suite at 6:00 PM. Don't be late", Reeza commanded.
"What on earth does this b***h want?" Lana had already started thinking about her time at home. She was ready to leave. Lana picked up her laptop bag and made her way to the elevator. Her office was on the 123rd floor. Unlike the CEO, she shared her floor with the board of directors and the secretaries. Her office took up almost half the floor and she rarely saw anyone from the other side.
Once she arrived at the 125th floor, she had to pause for a body scan. Even though there were several precautions in place to keep people off of the floor, there just weren't enough. Once H.A.I finished its review and deemed her free to pass, she entered into a second room where she removed her jacket and shoes then washed her hands. Levi was very serious about being clean. The floor had limited staffing so he made sure that the least amount of dirt was brought in to start with.
When Lana finished her routine, she proceeded into the hallway that led to the living area.
"You took long enough." Reeza was at the bar drinking a dry martini with 2 olives. She used the bar to help keep her footing.
"Are you drunk?" Lana questioned her.
Reeza ignored her question.
"Did you f**k my dad in here?" Reeza said looking dead into Lana's eyes.
Lana shifted her eyes from Reeza. While she was an evil young lady her resemblance to him hurt Lana.
Reeza staggered closer to Lana. "Where? Tell me!" Reeza persisted.
"He left my mom alone at night and shared a bed with your ass. Your beautiful, intelligent ass! Don't you have any shame! " spit from Reeza alcohol driven rant landed on Lana's face. Lana took a few steps back.
"Are you f*****g kidding, me? I didn't even know you existed. In f*****g fact, I built my entire life around your father, only to find out I was number f*****g 2. Don't come at me with that s**t!" Lana turned around to leave. She had already said more than she would have ever wanted to say on the subject. Reeza grabbed the top of Lana's skirt as she was leaving and pulled her over to the couch.
"Reeza!"
"Its MISSES! say it!" Reeza yelled at Lana.
Lana was thrown onto the couch, Reeza lurked over her. She looked down at Lana with a dead look in her eyes. "I wanted to love my dad the way you loved him."
Lana couldn't believe what she was hearing, "What are you saying?"
Reeza grabbed a hand full of Lana's her and pulled. "Say my name!" Reeza commanded.
"R-R-Reeza" Lana stuttered. She was terrorfied. She had never had someone treat her so violently.
"So you are playing stupid? You forgot my name. You forgot whether you f****d my dad in here. What else did you forget Lana?" Reeza said through gritted teeth.
Lana felt like Reeza was going to pull her hair out from the roots. Reeza was not letting up. The smell of liquor was strong. "She must've started drinking after our altercation earlier", Lana thought.
"Misses, calm down, you are hurting me." Lana could feel tears swelling up in her eyes.
"Did Levi like to pull your hair?" Reeza moved closer to Lana's face. "I saw him pulling my mom's hair while he was fcking her on this very couch." Reeza whispered in Lana's ear. Lana didn't want to hear her ramblings. [That can't be true] Lana's confusion quickly subsided. [it can be true]
She looked Reeza in her eyes, and spoke from behind gritted teeth, "Stop f*****g with me!"
Reeza smiled. She looked like she was analyzing Lana's face. "You're so feisty but weak like a beautiful white rabbit." Reeza leaned down and pressed her lips hard against Lana's lips. Then everything became still. Reeza collapsed on top of Lana with her fingers still intertwined with Lana's hair.
"Her breasts are bigger up close." Lana thought and then rolled her eyes at how stupid her comment was. It had been over a year since anyone had been close to her, "But why this lunatic?" She spoke out loud to herself. Lana tried to roll Reeza's limp body onto the couch while she slid out the other side.
Lana fell onto the floor next to the couch. Reeza still had a finger in her hair. She spent a few seconds removing it. Lana left Reeza unconscious on the couch. She then went to a panel on the wall and spoke, "Show me the vital signs for Reeza Hindrick". The panel showed her the blood pressure and Reeza's overall health. "Okay shes fine." Even though Lana did not like Reeza, she didn't want her to die. if her vital changed for the worse, H.A.I would call for assistance and allow the emergency crew onto the floor.
Lana found her purse and pulled out her cell phone, "Pull the car around." she said to the driver. She made one more stop in the ladies room and checked her clothing and makeup. Her tussle with Reeza left her in shams. She couldn't be seen like that. She brushed her hair quickly and made her move even quicker to the lobby. As soon as she walked out the front door her limo was waiting. Lana could understand Reeza's feelings to a certain extent but she only had pieces of her story. From what she could tell Marcy did not introduce Levi to Reeza has her father, but her boyfriend. This left the door open for Reeza to harbor unhealthy feelings towards Levi. "It also stands to reason that Marcy was aware that Levi was in a relationship with me. Why didn't she ever try to approach me?", Lana thought to herself. Then it dawned of her. "Levi's father said that he forced Levi to divorce Marcy, since he complied that could only mean that his father was holding something over his head that may have affected his company or inheritance." Lana was pretty sure she hit the nail on the head. Levi did not make decisions based on his feelings, he made them based on which account the money was being deposited in.
The revelations Lana contemplated followed her into her dreams. She didn't consider the dreams nightmares, more like anxiety filled s**t storms. She reviewed the paper work before she went to sleep regarding her position with the company and it was considered a "favor" to the deceased. "Damn it, Levi!" Lana yelled to herself while jogging on the treadmill. She could easily run until she died. The stress of knowing Levi tricked her into signing a non-monetary based contract for a job that any person would get paid at least a 6 figure salary to do, pissed Lana off. "I ought to dig him up and stomp on his lying ass carcass!!" Lana yelled at the top of lungs in the gym. The house assistant dinged, "Elevated blood pressure sensed. Please check in." "I'm f*****g fine!" Lana screamed and collapsed on the floor. She thought that she would be crying because she lost her heart not because she played the fool. Her blood boiled. She wanted to hate Levi. He left her the laughing stock of Lagos. He left her with his sadistic daughter. He left her holding a money less contract. "p*****t optional! You f*****g asshole!" Lana cried so hard, she started to dry heave. The house assistant chimed again. "Alerting personal services." Lana no longer cared. Reeza was right. She was faking her strength. She was just a helpless rabbit. Within a few minutes Enid and 2 of the butlers ran into the gym.
"Are you alright, my lady?" Enid said. Tears started running down her face seeing her mistress falling a part.
Lana wrapped her arms around Enid and continued crying. The largest butler picked Lana off the floor and headed to the infirmary next to the gym. Enid checked the house assistant to review Lana's vitals. The summary stated Lana only needed to rest to regulate the diagnosis. The butler carrying Lana was given the okay to carry Lana to her room. Enid called her office and let Reeza know she would not be in that day.
