Recovering from his state of shock and unbelief, Charles automatically looked for signs of life of the body lying before him. Feeling her faint pulse, he is sure that she is still alive. However, she needs to be resuscitated. He turned her head on the side and allowed water to drain from her mouth and nose. Then he began mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Not long enough, the woman coughed water out of her mouth. Ahem! Ahem! A lot of water came out.
After a few minutes, Charles carried the woman on his arms and started heading towards his villa. His adrenaline rush was turned on that he is not sure how many minutes he was able to dash the long distance he walked for almost an hour or two. Before he knew it, they reached his villa in a short while. He went straight to his bed, put the woman on top of it, changed all of her wet clothes and rushed to call his personal doctor to come over. Charles did all of these in a short while that he is sure he was able to beat Flash's speed. All for the woman he loves. He would storm the heavens and go all around the world just to save her.
Not long after calling, Sam Collins, the best doctor of the island came. Frowning on the sight of the worried and disturbed countenance of his bestfriend and long-term client, Charles, he rushed on the bedside to check what is going on. He was taken aback to see a woman lying on top of the bed. On the bedside is Charles holding her hands and kissing them softly. Sam could not believe his eyes. Is this Charles, his bestfriend who hated women all his life? Is this him who never allowed any woman to touch him? Sam is confused. Who is this mysterious woman?
Sam was so engrossed in thinking that he was all the more surprised to see Charles' hateful gaze. "What are you doing, Sam?" Charles shouted impatiently at him. "Can't you see that this woman's life is in danger? Hurry up and fulfill your Hippocratic oath. Save her or else..." Sam felt a cold feeling ran through his spine upon sensing the threat carried by Charles' words. Faster than a thunderbolt, he sprang into action and began treating the mysterious woman before him. After taking her vital signs and performing some assessment, he began carrying out some first aid treatment and infusing a liquid transfusion to replace the lost fluids and electrolytes in her body.
After a few hours of treatment, the woman is still unconscious but at least out of danger. Now, Sam let out a sigh of relief. The woman is lying on the bed while Charles has been staring and clinging at her for hours as if she is going to vanish suddenly. Sam, who has known Charles for so long has never seen him this serious about a woman. Smiling to himself, Sam felt genuinely happy for his bestfriend. Finally!
