Gamma's Daughter

Chapter 3

Sienna's POV

Asher's wolf Dash is super excited for the run today and it shows.! He is howling as he runs in the woods and my wolf Hayley is excited because Dash is excited. Our wolves absolutely love when we let them free.

But we stop on tracks when we hear rustles. Obviously! Crimson ritual in two days, so we will have enemies piling in to kill Asher.

Will I let them.? is the question.!

Asher and I shift and throw on the clothes that our wolves held in their mouths as they ran and walk so slowly to the bushes where the rustles can be heard.

"This might not be an enemy" Asher chuckles as he shows me a baby deer.

The deer snuggles leaning towards Asher and I smile. But out of blue, I sense someone else's presence.

Being a member of Crimson Moon Pack, means being alert all the time. Like I said, our pack is the most wanted one of supernatural existence. We are the main target, so we need to be prepared for the worse every single minute.!

I sniff and Hayley recognises the typical stench.

"Vampires" Asher whispers and I nod.

Of course these bastards would not waste even the slightest opportunity to attack Asher and take over the pack.

"Oooh! I see his new girlfriend" I hear a guy's voice.

"Shut up, Zane. The mighty Alpha Asher is still grieving the loss of his poor mate" I hear another girl's voice.

I look at Asher. And if Asher is good at anything aside from being an Alpha, then it is him masking his emotions. He can look at you straight in the eye but still be crying deep inside. And right now, he is smirking at the vampires.

"Hello to you too" Asher greets.

"I am Beatrice. And this is my brother Zane" The girl smiles.

"I would say it is pleasure meeting you, but I would be killing you in couple of minutes so I don't think I can say it's a pleasure" Asher smirks.

I roll my eyes at the conversation. If someone is all set to attack, then they should!

"Save your words. You can have conversations with each other in Hell" I say as I stand beside Asher.

"Ooh the girl is feisty, Zane. You like such girls, don't you?" Beatrice smiles.

Zane nods as he steps forward. Since I am not the Gamma and still bear the identity of Gamma's daughter, I am not exposed to supernatural world yet. So people don't know that I have Gamma's blood running through my veins and I take no s**t from any being.

The Zane guy smiles at me and places his hand on my cheek. Asher laughs and I know why. These people don't.

I grab Zane's hand that is on my cheek and twist it hard. Zane uses his vampire strength and speed to get out of my hold. But deep in my mind, I have set him as my target for today.

"I do not like hurting girls but-"

"Ooh! Spoken like a true feminist who is letting the girl fight" Beatrice says.

Oh boy! She is in for a fight. The few people who know Asher and I usually call us the killing machines and this vampire sibiling duo is going to understand why.

Asher and I smile at each other before looking at the two vampires. I wonder why they are alone without an army when they want to take down the Alpha.

Zane runs to me but I stop him on his tracks, his throat in my hand and his hand on my shoulder. He uses his vampire speed again, but no success this time.

I hold him by his shoulder and turn him around. My other hand on his chest ready to rip his heart out, I see Asher who already did his job. He has the girl's blood on him and he rolls his eyes as he looks at me.

I rip Zane's heart out and throw it just beside his dead body.

"Now that was a nice hunt" Asher smirks.

I nod as we walk back to the pack. Everyone makes way and bows to their Alpha while I silently follow him. I don't want them to think of something else when Asher and I are together. We are rumoured to be in relationship and to me, that feels bullshit.

"Are you both alright?" Avery asks with her eyes wide.

"It's fine. Just a little hunt" I smile at her.

I look at Asher and he just nods before walking towards the pack house. Avery and I walk to my home where I don't see my father. He must be at the scene trying to get rid of the dead vampire bodies.

"Did you kill at least one?" Mom asks me as soon as I step in.

"Yep. A vampire guy" I smirk and she smiles.

I quickly rush to my room and to the shower. I rinse my whole body thrice. I cannot stand the presence of vampires let alone have their blood on me.

But I am proud of my win today. Not because I never killed any vampire before, but I did it along with Asher. Like I always said, we are known as the killing machines and it feels nice to see that the killing machines in us are still alive.

I walk downstairs to see my mother laughing at something Avery said. And they look like they are munching on some french fries. My absolute favourite. Potatoes, to be honest. Soul food item to me. You boil them, fry them, bake them, saute them whatever. They are still delicious. If you don't agree, talk to my wall please.

"What's the gossip about?" I ask them as I grab one from the tray and shove it into my mouth.

"Oh! Just hearing stories of her witch coven" my mother smiles.

"Coffee?" She asks me again and I nod.

My mother walks to the kitchen and I sit in the chair she just sat and look at my best friend. Long blonde hair, brown eyes and perfect round face. She is such a beauty. I don't understand why Asher doesn't pay attention to this girl.

"What?" She asks me narrowing her eyes.

"What what?" I ask back as I chew my French fry.

"You looked like you were totally checking me out" she smirks.

"Oh! I wonder, but I am also cent sure that I am straight" I smile at her making her smile too.

"Watcha doing?"

I hear Asher through mindlink and I smirk. If anyone knows Asher and I to a personal level, then they also know that we cannot stand whenever we are distant.

Especially after he lost his mate, we grew much more closer. He had no one to comfort him and I was always there. He is my best friend and people who think otherwise can shove it!

"Just chit chatting with Avery" I mindlink him back and turn my focus on to Avery again.

She is looking at me amused. And I have probably heard a thousand times that she always finds mindlinking process fascinating.

"Come to the pack house. I am done with my Alpha duties for today" He says.

I smile as I roll my eyes. Not that I don't like the idea, but because I was just thinking about it.

"Mumma! I am going to Asher's house!!" I scream but she comes out with an angry bird face.

"You do know that we all have werewolf hearing, right?" She asks and I bite my lower lip nodding my head.

"Anyways, today is a good day because I embraced your presence for minutes!!" There goes my mother being dramatic and all.

But deep down, she loves Asher just like her own son. Like I said again, Asher's parents and my parents are best friends just like Asher and I. They did not treat us differently except when ranks were involved. Asher had to work hard for that title and I .. well, still the Gamma's Daughter.

"Ask Asher to come here for dinner. His parents might be away for another day, I hope he is aware" my mother says again.

I turn around to wave bye at her but then I look at Avery. She is just staring at me with a tinge of sadness peeking through her face. And I suddenly want to take her with me.

"Want to join?" I ask and she happily hops getting down the dining chair.

We both walk to the pack house hand in hand and greet everyone on our way. I also come across my father who is busy barking orders to the patrol teams. This is the time that we need to step up regarding the security system.

The vampire encounter is not a big issue because Asher and I were there and not just a pack member. We were capable of killing them, but what if some pack member falls into their trap and decides to become their leverage?

"But the Zane guy totally underestimated you. Before he knew, he got his heart ripped" Hayley whispers.

True. I could see the way he was checking me out as he underestimated me. If there is anything I am proud about my pack, then it is that everyone in our pack can fight. I am proud of it and I would probably tell that to everyone every single day.!

By the time we reach pack house, we see Asher with his body on couch and legs on coffee table. Switching through the tv channels with look of boredom on his face.

Noticing our presence, he instantly sits straight. He glares at me and raises his eyebrow.

"Had to. Won't she be alone if I keep spending my time here with you?" I mindlink him quickly and look at Avery again.

I smile at her and she smiles back. And I see Asher rolling his eyes.

"Mumma wants you to have dinner at my place" I say and he nods.

Avery sits on the single seater sofa while I join Asher on couch making him sit straight. He just glares at me but I smirk at him. He doesn't know how to react when a girl hints him of her love. But I intend on showing him that second love indeed exists. And he doesn't have to push that away.

"So, what are we going to do?" Avery asks.

I look at Asher and he shrugs.

"Well, Sienna and I planned for a movie night but-"

"But now that we are three of us, I think it would be a little more fun" I say before Asher finishes his sentence.

He glares at me again but I slightly shake my head. Avery awkwardly laughs and I am sure she can feel the tension between us three. Asher can come off as stubborn sometimes, but in reality.. he feels comfortable only around a very few people. When someone else stands in that space, he can come off as rude.

"I can go back, if it is something personal" Avery smiles and I can clearly see she is awkward.

"Oh no, nothing like that. Asher is just in bad mood ever since we killed the vampires, right Asher?" I ask and glare at him.

He looks at Avery, then at me and slowly nods.

Asher picks on The Conjuring making Avery and I scoff.

"Seriously Asher??" I ask him.

"Do not disturb the classics. If you don't like it, feel free to find the main door" he shrugs without even looking at me or Avery.

Whatever. He is just lucky he is my best friend.

"She doesn't like horror movies, Asher. She is our guest right now" I mindlink him.

But he doesn't respond. He was indeed nice to Avery earlier. But when he sensed her feelings towards him, he started behaving like a whole new person.

I know we are supernatural beings and we see far more horrific incidents than these, but there is something about this background noises and music that scares me sometimes.

Ivan walks in when we are halfway through the movie and he is already panting. Guess he ran.

"What is it?" Asher asks being all Alpha mode.

"Alpha Nathaniel is here with his army. Ready to wage a war" he says.

I f*****g knew it! But I did not see this coming at this odd hour. I look at Asher and he nods as he looks at Ivan. We three know what to do, we quickly disperse from the pack house's living room.

"What happened?" Avery asks as I am walking towards the borders in quick and long strides.

"Alpha Nathaniel and his family has been our enemies since we can remember. They are the next best actually. Next to our pack. But they still want this land to be theirs. Now that the crimson ritual is closer, he thinks he can shoot his shot" I say and she nods.

"Can I be of any help?" She asks.

"I am not sure, we shall see. Do you perhaps know any spell that can keep you stay invisible for a while?" I ask her.

"Yes, I learnt and practiced that just last week" she says.

I stop walking and look at her. My mind already forming few theories if we could use her right now. Our pack army can take down Nathaniel's pack easily, but it hurts nobody to stay on the safe side.

"Go invisible and stand somewhere where you can see the war. Do what you can. Any help is appreciated" I smile and she nods.

I already see Asher barking orders towards the Army. And everyone is determined for the win. We cannot lose it, not when the ritual is in couple of days and when this is our home.

"So who's with me?" Asher shouts of loud.

The whole crowd erupts into agreement and the air is filled with war bells. The tension is real and so is our victory.

The moment the silver gates around the borders of our pack are pulled down, I see the army of Yellow Stone Pack. And this time, I see something I have never seen before.

"They have Rogues on their side too" Ivan whispers.

The whole Rogue army is already growling at us. But Asher doesn't even react. I can literally see his mind actively working to come up with another plan. And once he does, he mindlinks us altogether.

"We are called crimson moon pack for a reason. Our lands are powerful for a reason. Take down as many as you can, and I will be right behind you taking down people before they reach you. For our pack!!!" He roars and our bodies are moved with vibrations of his roar.

Alpha Nathaniel just smirks as he makes the first move. And once our army starts moving forward, the war is already happening. Nathaniel's army is twice huge.

I take a step forward but I feel Asher's hand holding mine.

"Just stay safe" he whispers and places a kiss on my forehead.

I nod as I smile at him and I see my father already killing rogues. I look around to see everyone fighting for our pack. Men, women, high ranked and no rank wolves too. This gives me a sense of pride and with that, I look straight to see Yellow Stone Pack's beta, Roger.

"Still a Gamma's daughter?" He smirks at me.

I roll my eyes. I have come across this man when I visited their pack in search of my mate. I thought he was friendly until one day he told me he wants me to be his mistress and he could send his brother as Gamma to our pack. Such low lives these bloody Yellow Stone Pack people has.

"I don't want to kill you, so shut the f**k up" I say and I rip the heart of a Rogue who jumped out of nowhere.

"Quick reflexes" Roger smirks.

And when another warrior of Yellow Stone Pack lunges at me, I grab him by his throat and throw him down to the ground. I press my feet onto his back making him whine in pain and I rip his head off.

I turn around and I don't see Roger anywhere. Just as I thought he might be at some corner fighting, I feel someone grab me by my throat. My back then met a hard chest and I know it is the bastard.

"The offer still stands, Sienna. Be mine and I will give you everything you wish for" he whispers into my ear.

I see Ivan fighting off three members of Yellow Stone Pack and Asher fighting with Nathaniel.

"You up for being my girl?" He asks again.

I don't waste my time hitting him in the balls and he releases me.

"Once a no means it is NO!" I shout at him and kick him with my leg making him stumble a little.

A member of Yellow Stone jumps on me making me fall back but I quickly stand back. I see he is shielding his beta and I don't blame him. He is just doing his job. At the same time, I am doing my job too.

I run to him and when he raises his hand to punch me, I duck down and grab his heart. He stands still because even the slightest movement can kill him right now. I smirk as I see fear in his eyes and I smile as I rip his heart out. He falls back and again, I don't see Roger anywhere.

I turn around and just in time, I see very less number of Yellow Stone Pack remaining. I see few rogues flying in air and banging their heads to the ground till they bleed and I know it is Avery's doing.

But everyone stops fighting when they sensed Nathaniel's death. And I see Asher standing there before Nathaniel's dead body. And everyone around him including the Rogues bow down to him. Their new Alpha.
