There was just enough passive illumination to outline Shannon’s figure in the darkness. The effect was powerful enough for Paul to be thankful of the darkness, or his adolescent blush would have left him greatly embarrassed. Still, he took the opportunity to snatch a clandestine glance at the perfectly shaped upper curves, and hoped she would not bring up the issue of the accidental contact from when the second group of men entered the building.
