Chapter 4 the friends

Kenshin sends a signal up the mountain. His friend Kenshiro saw the signal and went down the mountain, returning to the village after 5 years. and was hired by a rich man to protect his son. Tomoe who was a fox Yokai/ Kitsune came down from the mountain. and returned to Kenshin's side as Tomoe was his familiar and was bound to him, but that was not all because he was was also his right hand. Everyone at school was shocked when they saw that Kenshin had a nine tailed kitsune as a familiar. Shin was furious as a nine tailed kitsune was almost impossible to tame, and even more difficult and rare for them to become someone's familiar. But since his son Shin doesn't know that he knew what he had done, he pretended not to know anything and asked Shin if he knew who the men were. Kenshiro replied: “Master Shin paid these men to spy on Hitokiri Kenshin and then when we came back home from school, we saw these boxes on the ground, so we opened it only to find the spies heads in them.”

Shin's father pretended to be shocked to hear that he had paid men to spy on Kenshin. But was shocked to hear that the boxes were already here before Shin got home. He began to wonder who had killed them and his first suspect is Kenshin as he was the one, they were spying on. and if it was Kenshin, they had to be careful, so to get rid of his enemy once and for all he decided to get rid of Kenshin. He asked five of his most skilled assassins to kill Kenshin and then dispose of all the evidence afterwards.

At the same time, Kenshin sent his last two signals up the mountain. Aoi and Rei saw the signals and returned the same day to Kenshin's side as his bodyguards. Shin became even more angry when he saw Kenshin walking with two bodyguards behind him in the school.
