Shirley POV
"Uh, it's a... " I didn't know what I have to answer. I thought I'd never see Alex again. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered if I'd told him about his child before he died. But Alex didn't die, and I had already told him about my pregnancy.
"It's nothing," I replied. I started to turn my gaze away so he couldn't see it.
"No, you're lying, Shirley. Tell me the truth. I won't let you go this time. You guided my son seven years ago. That means Jonas is...."
I hesitated again. I have no choice. Should I say it? But what about the rest of my life? Why is this so complicated?
"Alex, Honey." I turned around again and looked at him. I smiled at Alex, who was waiting for my confirmation. "Can I go home today?"
"Ho-Honey?" Alex couldn't believe what I was calling him. "You never call
