Elena’s POV.
When I reach for the door, I feel the chills in the wind even when all the windows and doors are closed it.
I take a deep breath and open the door there is no one outside.
I come out of the door and see both side but I see no one when I turn to go back in the house. Someone taps on my back.
My reflex was hitting in face and it was Rick who pops out of nowhere and I hit him in the face.
“Chill! It’s just me Elena” He almost screams.
“What is with the scream?” he continues
“That was not funny.” I reply him.
“What happened?” Rick asks me while he hugs me.
“Someone was trying to open the door like knock and all I was afraid because just before you someone knocked the same way.” I explain him.
“Chill, babe it is alright I’m here” Rick trying to comfort me.
I ask him to come inside.
“So, are you done with packing?” He asks me.
“Yeah, done with it just getting everything down.” I reply him.
“Are these the bag that I need to put in the car?” He asks me points at the bags kept near the couch.
Rick grabs the big bags and put it I the trunk.
So, I get in my room to see for any stuff around which I want to take with me. I have to bring the board games for everyone.
I rush to the storage room to bring board games and cards and stuff.
I walk down the staircase and I turn on the lights.
“Elena where are you is there anything else to take?”
“Just the small bags kept near the kitchen counter.” I almost scream just so that he can hear me.
“Okay” he replies.
The shelves where the games are just beside Candice’s stuff, I search for Candice written.
I pass Candice’s space but something shines from the light in Candice’s shelf I see what it is, it reads Ouija board.
This might be fun I will grab this also!
I see the never have I ever and other some business games just in the next shelf.
I grab all the games and come back to kitchen to grab a bag for the games.
I put the games in bag and take it to the car, when I’m out Rick is sitting in the car and waiting for me.
“Are you done?” He asks me.
“So, I took everything will just get my phone and stuff”
“Okay”
“Be back quick baby.”
I grab the keys and take it in my small bag pack thingy. I put the bag on shoulder and lock the door’s and walk towards the car.
I settle in the car and Rick starts the car.
“Here we go for a whole month.”
“Yeah” I reply and kiss on his cheeks.
He grabs my hand and kisses on it.
“Babe we need to make a stop at the gas station for candy and stuff I don’t have any and we will see for more games.”
“Okay” he replies
My place is almost 8 miles from Jimmy’s place my house falls outside of the city so most of the roads are silent most of the time.
But at night time people don’t like this area as it is just forest on both sides.
“When will be back like any specific dates or something” I ask Rick.
“Have no idea dear” He replies.
I’m scrolling my i********: feed and find a picture of Suzan and Jeremy. Both of them are posing together for pictures then I see the other story that Jeremy put on his i********: a mirror selfie kind.
“Babe?” I call.
“Yeah?” He replies.
“Did you see the Jeremy’s status?” I ask Rick.
“Yeah, both are looking dope and the picture Suzan put dude she has talent in photography hope she brought her camera stuff for the trip.” Rick says.
“Baby, they do look good and the pictures are great but I think they are together.” I compliment.
“No baby!” he replies to me.
“Did you read what Jer put below the video, just the thing I wanted in my life.” I read it.
“Babe they are together!” I tell him.
“Maybe they are together, we will know when we reach” He explains.
“But they look so beautiful together” I show a picture to Rick.
Rick puts on the music; he puts on One Direction’s One Thing. I put on some gloss and powder the makeup.
When I’m done with it can see the Gas station as we are about to pull over, I see a lady walking towards Gas Station.
I put the things away and climb out of the car.
When I exit the car, I take a look at the lady walking towards the gas station but she is far from it.
I ignore here presence and enter the shop
“Hey Elena and Rick, what can I get you?” Jake the store owner welcomes us.
“Hey Jake! Just here to get some of the games you brought are they still available and even some candy” I reply him.
“Yeah, where it was before.” He replies.
“Thank you” I walk towards the end of shop
There are lot of games but I wanted this specific nasty one truth and dare with never have I ever.
I search for the game and find it in the back. I take it and get some candy and get it to the counter to pay.
“So, what’s with the rush?” Jake asks me.
“Yeah, leaving for a trip with my friends.” I reply.
“Ohh enjoy dear, and do you want me to put these things in the bag?” He asks.
“No, I will just grab the things and put it in the car.” I reply him and I grab the games along with the candy. Just as I hold everything Rick carries it from my hand.
“Thanks baby” I tell him.
And he smiles back at me.
“See you soon Elena and Rick and Happy Journey” Jake tells.
“Thank you, Jake and See you soon!” I reply and exit the store.
When we get out of the store, I see the women close to Ricks car.
“Hey, Good evening do you need any help?” I ask the lady before I hop in the car.
“Where are you kids going?” She asks me.
“Just towards the city.” I tell her.
Rick’s POV
When Elena is asking the lady if she needs help, I don’t know why is she asking her we don’t have enough space for her.
My phone starts ringing and it’s Jeremy’s call I take the call.
*OVER PHONE*
“Hey dude” I say
There is no reply.
“Hello” I say again but I can’t hear his voice it is cracking.
I cut the call and send message to Jeremy; we are on our way and will be there in next 10 minutes.
As I keep my phone back in my pocket I walk towards Elena, she is just lost looking at the lady walk away.
“Elena we should get going we are late and all might be worrying about us.” I talk to her but her attention is towards the lady.
“Elena?” I call her name again.
“Yeah, what were you saying” She asks me.
“We should get going baby Jer called we are getting late.”
I open the door for her and then I get settle in the car.
“Baby?” I say as I start the engine.
“Yeah babe?” She replies.
“Baby, what happened and what did the lady say” I ask her.
“I asked if she needed a ride to the city, she said no to me.” She replies.
“Then?” I continue.
“She wanted to go the other way, she was walking from that direction and she wanted to go back there again and babe I felt super creepy after her reply, I just said have a great evening and her reply to it was you too have a great trip.” She explains to me.
I laugh and reply to her, “Babe anyone could tell we are going for a trip the number of bags on the back seat.”
“I don’t think so baby!” She replies and she watches the lady again from the mirror.
I start driving.
I watch her face and she goes all creeped out as she watches the lady turn and wave bye with a huge smile even I could see it.
“Ohh jeez” She replies and sits quietly holding my hand while I’m driving.
