Hello, Everyone! My name is Railey Quater. I'm an alpha werewolf leader of the Cresent Pride pack. I'm 23 but mateless.
Yes, I have yet to find my mate and I looked everywhere for her. I just feel like giving up!
"Hey, Railey. Let's go grab dinner," Vince, my beta aka best friend came in along with his mate aka my personal assistant, Loreal.
Vince found her when she came here for the interview and yes she is a human. She had a complete freak-out episode when he revealed our secret but now it's all good now. I mean I cant go by a moment without their romance.
I closed my laptop and took my things before walking with them to my private lift. I'm also the owner of Quater Corporate, one of the leading companies in the country.
As we entered the lift, I started scrolling through my phone since I can't stand the lovey-dovey in front of me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them but sometimes I just can't help but feel jealous and sad.
Werewolves find their mate at the age of 18.
I'm 23! I'm freaking 23!! Everyone in my pack of this age has found their mate. I, on the other hand, didn't.
I just want to find my mate so I can show her how special she is to me.
*Dinner passed on with our usual episode*
"Will you stop sucking each other's face for at least a minute?" I rolled my eyes as I got into my truck.
Vince entered the passenger seat while his mate opened the back door and we all started chatting about the trip next week.
As per our tradition, once every six months the alpha, beta, and third-in-command along with their mates (if they have any) go on a 2 day camp to the deep forest. It was made so that they form a stronger bond.
Since Vince has found his mate, she is also coming along.
Danni, my third in command, has found his mate on the day of his 18th birthday.
I know. That lucky bastard.
So usually our camp consisted of those two love birds along with Vince and me. But now since my beta found his mate, I'm going to be the only bachelor.
I sighed before stopping my car in front of a supermarket.
"I have to buy something. I'll be right back. And please, I don't care what you do, but don't have s*x in my baby." I said as I got out of my car.
Vince smirked and winks at me as Lo blushed bright red.
I was walking from the parking ground to the supermarket when I was hit by the most alluring and amazing smell. It smelled like honey and lavender.
‘Mate! Mate!!,' My wolf shouted and howled making me dash towards the smell.
Finally! Finally, I have found her! I was so happy and excited.
The smell came from the supermarket. I stopped at the door suddenly as nervousness took over my mind. What should I do once I found her?
‘We will decide when we meet her. Now go, before we lose her!’ My wolf complained making me nod. I reached my hand taking deep breaths.
But before I could grab the handle, the door swings open and a small figure bumped straight into me and fell down with a loud thud.
Sparks flew throughout my body making me shiver. I looked down and met the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
"Oh come on!" She said frustrated as she started picking up the groceries from the ground. I just stood there staring at the beautiful girl in front of me.
My mind just went blank.
"Hey! The least you could do is help pick up the things," she grunted as she took a tomato and put it back in the cover.
"Right. I'm sorry," I said as I bent down to help her.
As I picked up everything I couldn't help but keep staring at her.
She was perfect!
She has deep black curly hair and her eyes were of different shades of blue. She was a little tan and has a pair of the cutest pink lips.
After picking up the last fallen item, she finally looked at me but only to widen her eyes.
She was looking at me, examining each feature as I smirk. My wolf, on the other hand, was howling and jumping with happiness.
I extended my arm to pull her up but she kept staring at me.
More like eye ogling me.
"You know, baby girl, a picture will last longer," I said making her turn a dark crimson red.
Cute!
She stood up abruptly and muttered a 'thanks' before swiftly walking away.
"Wait, please. Don't go!" I yelled but she started to run.
I started to run after my mate but in the process, I accidentally bumped an old woman.
Oh, come on! What is it with today and bumping!!
‘And now you lost her!!!’ My wolf complained with a growl.
‘Shut it! I know! Ok!’ I said fuming as I walked back to my truck. I slammed the door as I got in and let out a frustrated growl.
"Dude, I thought this truck was your baby," Vincent said shocked at my attitude.
"I found her" was all that came out of my mouth.
"Found who??? Wait, your mate?!" He asked surprised to which I only nodded.
"That's great news man!! But why are you so sad?" he asked seeing that I'm in complete distress.
"She ran away... I don't have her name, address, or anything to track her!! All that I have is her beautiful image!! I don't know what to do! Did I scare her?" I said as I slammed my fist on the steering wheel.
"Don't worry Railey. You'll find her. She's your mate. You're destined to see each other again," Lo consoled me as I sighed.
"For now let's go home," Vince said smiling and I just smiled back before starting my engine.
He is right. We are destined to meet again.
We will surely meet again, my beautiful mate and when we do, I will make sure you don't run away.
