“About which part? Keeping Ramirez at arm’s length because of his association with the Congressman’s wife?” When I nodded she shook her head and added, “Though I’m sure you’ve already realized that we could be putting ourselves in harm’s way if there was something to this, we could also be impeding a law enforcement matter.”
I shrugged—it was what it was—causing her to chuckle.
