“Are you sure you don’t mind me leaving you here alone whilst I go and meet Ezra and Ren?” I asked Ruby for the fifth time. She sighed and rolled her eyes.
“Yes dad! I am perfectly capable of entertaining myself for a while. Anyway, I need to start getting on with the preparations for the soul detachment spell. There is plenty for me to do here,” she said as she looked over all the contents on the table, chewing on her nail.
