I really don't know how to respond to Yvette's question, and Avelin is even more conflicted than I am.
She hurt our mate, she growls in my head. We can't trust her.
So I should say no? I’m leaning that way too; what is between me and Tristan is still new and a little fragile. We don’t need to invite someone close to us who is looking to cause trouble.
Avelin whimpers in indecision. But if she is Matami, then we may need her. What she says about them is true.
What do you know about them? I have never heard of the Matami line before. If my mother knew, it was something she never shared with me before she died.
