MERRICK Avalon was not at all herself today. She also didn’t seem like she slept a wink either last night. It worried me that something might be wrong, but she didn't say anything about it. I had asked her about it twice already and all that I got from her was, “Don’t worry about it.” But how could I not when she looked like that? We were back at the office now, and instead of working, she had a frown on her beautiful face that did not belong there, not to mention zoning out whenever we were talking about something. Was it me?
