Merrick and I stood there staring at both Kris and Asher. This was obviously a lover’s dispute that had nothing to do with me so I tried to walk away from the drama but Merrick had other plans. He stopped me, the contact made me skin tingle. He was doing things to me by just touching me.
I lifted my eyes and I met him already staring at me with eyes that said he would do just about anything for me.
“You’re planning on running away aren’t you?” I stared into his eyes, getting lost in them for a moment without even realizing now that both Asher and Renee were staring at us. And not in the pleasant way either.
Both had hate directed at me. But even the hates were different.
