I hated going to the office recently for a reason. And now I had been shown why. When the guard appeared, he told me something I didn’t expect. Kris has been found dead and in the office too.
Avalon was leg-spread in front of me on the counter while I fed her, but as soon as the news came, I dropped the spoon I was feeding her with and walked right out, following the guard.
“Does my brother know about this?” I questioned, walking in long strides, heading for my room to change into something more office oriented.
“I suppose so, Alpha. I had another guard reach out to him.” He answered, and I did notice that Asher wasn’t at the breakfast table. Lance and Renee were, however. That bastard had a relaxed expression, but I knew for sure that he was the one who had Kris murdered.
