" That would be nice," I said.
" Good now go get dressed for dinner. I need to talk to papa for a few minutes" he said getting off the bed. He kissed me then walks out of the room. How am I going to get Tisha to the doctors and back without him noticing I though? I walk into the closet looking at the difference dresses hanging up. My phone beeps I look at it to see Tammy still texting me what now I thought.
I call her " what is it," I say when she answered.
" Camille I was just wondering how things are going," she asked.
"What do you really want," I ask.
" Just that with Romeo Rossi getting shot please watch your back and the twins," she said.
" I will," I said hanging up the phone. I go over to the rack of clothes.
What does she mean to watch our backs I thought. I pull out an off the shoulder dark green dress. I walk into the bedroom placing the dress on the bed then take a quick shower. I dry off when I hear the bedroom door open.
" Look man this s**t with Rossi is getting out of hand. We need to get Nicholas out there to find them before the heat comes our way" I hear Danny say.
" Keep it down. I know call him and inform him about what's going on," Gio said.
" Okay," Danny said then close the door. I wait a few seconds then walk out of the bathroom. I walk over to the dresser pulling out underwear.
" So what's going on," I ask dropping the towel.
Gio walks over to me " there is nothing to worry about," he said.
I look at him " you sure" I ask. He grabs my face between his hand " yes love," he says then kiss me. He places his head on mines.
" Right now there is nothing to worry about and if there is Ill tell you," he said. I shake my head up and down.
" Don't worry your pretty head. I'll always protect you," he said. He kisses my forehead he walks to the bathroom. I put on my rob then sit in front of the mirror putting on a little makeup. After double-checking my makeup I slip on the dress. I walk over to the body mirror looking at myself.
" You look so beautiful," Gio said I smile looking at him through the mirror.
" Thanks, you looking mighty sexy in that towel," I say. He starts laughing " maybe I should wear this to dinner since I look so good," he said posing
. " No, mama Lilly would beat you," I say running my finger down his chest. He grabs my hand " if you continue we won't be going out tonight" he said. I open my mouth when some knock on the door.
" Yes," Gio said Trey peek his head in.
" we're leaving in thirty so no freaky stuff," he said.
" Boy bye," I said laughing.
" So what are we doing," Gio said placing my hand on his chest.
"Get dressed before someone else comes in," I say backing away from him. I grab my clutch off the dresser when my phone rings.
" Hello," I say answering,
" Mille this is Chris," he says.
" Hey wassup," I say sitting down.
" Whos around," he asks " in the bedroom I'll meet you in the hall," I say.
I get up grabbing my clutch " I'll see you downstairs" I say kiss Gio on the cheek. After I close the door " what's going on" I ask.
" In the streets, they are saying that Gio put a hit on Rossi," he said.
" Damn," I say this is why he's been all secretive I though.
" Camille I'm not telling you to leave him but you need to watch your back. I always got your back. Call me if you need. Love you" he says.
" Love you too," I say before hanging up.
" f**k," I say knowing for Chris to call me it's serious. I walk down to the room that Brandi is occupying knocking on the door.
" Come in, " she yells I open the door to see her putting her box braids in a bun.
" What you wearing," I ask sitting on the bed. She goes into the closet pulling out a black dress " it better be covering your goodies" I say.
" You act worse than the boys," she says walking back into the closet.
" That's cuz I experienced what happened to girls that show too much," I say looking through my phone.
" Anyway, you look more classy when you show just enough," I say when she walks out of the closet. "My baby has grown up," I say looking at her.
"Stop," she says laughing.
" Come on let me take some pictures," I say.
After a couple of pictures, I go to Brandon's room knocking on the door.
" What do you have on," I ask smelling his cologne.
" Chris gave it to me," he said handing me the bottle that said Dior on it.
" At least Chris got some style, "I say placing the bottle on the dresser. Look at Brandon " you look handsome" I say walking over fixing his bow tie.
" You know that I stay fly," he says dusting his shoulders.
" You still the same lil boy I gotta tell to take a shower," I say laughing.
" That was one time," he says I side-eye him.
" Let me take a couple of pictures," I say. He poses for a couple of pictures "let's go downstairs," I say before leaving the room. I knock on Brandis door a few seconds went past she poked her head out.
" Come downstairs," I say " so Mille I was wondering if I can go out tonight after dinner," Brandon asked.
" With who," I ask. " Just a couple of people that work here," he said.
" Let me think about it," I say. " Your the best," he said hugging me.
" I didn't say yes yet," I said he stops in front of me.
" But your thinking about it," he said. We walk into the living room " you look so beautiful," Victoria says.
" You do too," I say walking over to her looking at her black dress.
I look around the room seeing Mrs. Lilly sitting on the couch " you look good girl," I say taking a seat next to her.
"This old thing," she said looking at her white dress. I just laugh when one of the younger maids come in.
" Here you go," Emma says handing Mrs.Lilly a glass of water.
" Thank you, dear," Mrs. Lilly said before sipping her drink. I watch Emma walks past Brandon and he follows her out of the living room.
I get up following behind them to the hallway.
" So are you coming out with us tonight," Emma asked.
" Most likely," he said.
"Are you bringing your sister," she asks.
" I'll think about it. Where we going again" he asks placing his hand under his chin.
" Yellow bar," she says. " How far is that," he asks.
" Maybe an hour away from here," she says.
" Okay I'll text you," he says I start speed walking back into the living room. I take my seat by Mrs. Lilly " how long has Emma been with the family," I ask.
" Her family has been working for ours for years. She has been working here for the last couple of years I believe," she said.
I look at Brandon " she seems like a nice girl" I say.
Mrs. Lilly looks at me " you mean that wild child," she said. Gio walks over to us " who are you calling a wild child," he asks.
" Emma," she says. " That girl can make a nun commit murder," he said.
" Excuse us," I say grabbing Gio's hand pulling him out in the hallway.
" Brandon wants to go out with Emma tonight at the yellow bar," I say. Gio doesn't speak for a while. " She's known to get in trouble. I'll send him with a few guards" he says.
" Thank you," I say we walk back into the living room to see everyone ready.
" Let's take a picture," I say Trey hands-on of the maids his phone. She takes a couple of pictures.
" Let me see," I say snatching the phone off him.
" Little girl," he says.
" We look so nice. Send me the pictures," I say handing his phone back.
"Let's go," Michael said holding Mrs.Lilly arm.
