CHAPTER 61 FIGHT FOR DOMINANCE “I want to speak to him. Let my mate out!” Billie jerked her hand away from him, seeing the struggle going on between him and his wolf. Adam's chest vibrated with growls, pushing back his wolf, who was going berserk. His mate was calling and his human was blocking him from answering her call. Billie also gave control to her wolf, Lysette, allowing her to surge forward. “Mate,” she whispered as Adam’s eyes bled a deep gold, his wolf, Venfa, in control, shoving Adam into a corner in his mind. “Mate. I am sorry,” Venfa apologized, grabbing her wrists, kissing the one Adam had been squeezing. He dropped them and pulled her close to his chest, bending his head and sniffing her neck. “Ah! Lilacs.” He smiled as the scent filled his senses. “He hurt us,” Billie gave a soft sob, clasping her hands round his waist and dropping her head on his chest. “And he wants to take us to the cells.” “I won’t allow him to take you there, my beautiful mate,” Venfa promised, drunk on her scent, his golden eyes shining. “She’s pretending, Venfa. Don’t listen to her!” Adam yelled from the abyss he found himself in, but struggling to climb out. “Quit talking or I will raise the wall, Adam,” Venfa growled at him. “Don’t do it, V. You’re putting us in trouble with the Alphas,” Adam warned him, his eyes flickered from gold to their normal colour. Still fighting to overcome his wolf. With each change came a resounding growl from his chest. “Please, don’t listen to what he is saying, mate. Take me away from here. Protect me, please. I don’t want to stay in the cell. It’s dirty and dark,” Billie pleaded, pulling back to look at Venfa. Knowing she had to say the right words. No wolf liked hearing that their mate was going to suffer. “They won’t feed me or give me anything to drink.” Billie wailed, giving him her best sad look, allowing fake tears to roll down her cheeks. “She’s pretending Venfa. Don’t listen to her!” Adam yelled at his stubborn and foolish wolf. From the looks on the faces of the alphas and how they had crowded round that omega, he knew she was important to them. “The Alphas won’t be happy that we disobeyed them. Look at her she doesn’t want us. Didn’t you hear what she said? Have you gone deaf or lost all sense of reasoning?” “Keep talking. The wall will go up soon, Adam,” Venfa growled. “Don’t listen to anything he is saying, mate. He is weak. You’re stronger than him,” Billie urged Venfa on, pulling his face towards her, making him focus on her face. “Only you can save me, now. That omega attacked me first. I have to go home and see my parents. They need to know what is happening.” “Let’s go home then.” “Venfa!” Adam yelled, finally heaving himself out of the darkness. “That’s it.” He snatched control back from his wolf, shoved him deep down into a corner in his mind and raised a thick wall between them, blocking all communication. “I want him back!” Billie demanded, pushing her wolf back also. “Nice try mate," Adam said grabbing her arms and pulling her flush against his chest, peering down at her. “This is the last time you will ever use me or my wolf for your own gain.” Ignoring the roars of his wolf trying to break through the wall or the sparks dancing over his body. “No!” Adam bent down and lifted her over his shoulders and walked out of the room. Her punches and curses rained down on his back, but he ignored them all. Only wondering how a girl like her knew how to curse so much like that. The other warriors looked surprised at seeing the couple. Masking their surprise quickly when Adam growled at them. “Get the cuffs out,” he ordered them, putting her down and holding her hands in front of her body. One of them brought out silver cuffs. “You wouldn’t dare. My father is going to have your heads.” They smirked at Billie's threats. The one with the cuffs jerked her hands forward and harshly, earning him a hard glare from Adam as he cuffed her wrists together. Adam kept cursing him inside. He couldn’t help if he still held feelings for her. “Wait till Vance hears about this. He’s going to pluck out your hearts from your chests. Just wait and see.” Billie continued with her threats. Adam felt a piece of his already broken heart break again at what she just said. “He rejected you already," The warrior laughed along with his friends. “Let’s go,” he ordered them, throwing them each a glare. “What’s going on here?” the doctor ran out, stopping them. He had heard Billie’s curses and screams. “The Alphas want her in a cell.”
