Disappointment

~Serena’s POV~

Taylor left me stunned. I sat there staring at the door from which he walked out.

I was asking ‘The Beta’ of the blood moon clan to tell me where Blood Moon Clan is. How stupid I am, I didn’t even ask him in which clan I am.

I guess I was so eager to live between werewolves that I forgot to ask the basic questions.

I sat in the cabin for a few more hours and then my wolves started itching my head to go out and see this clan. I don’t know why, but since I came here, Star and Sere were both excited and happy. Maybe they think that they can live in a clan. Live their life like it was supposed to be as a wolf.

I stood and walked towards the door. I opened the door but a guard blocked my way and said, “You are not supposed to leave this place.”

“But I’m tired of sitting alone here and I don’t have anything to do. Please let me go out for a while.”

“No, it's an order from the alpha. You can’t roam in our clan as if you belong to this clan. You are still a rogue.”

I went back inside and shut the door. I took the pillow from the bed and screamed again and again. It’s all Zedr’s fault, why I am like this to my own people. I was supposed to be their princess, they were supposed to know about me, but because of that pathetic warlock, I became a rogue to my people. They don’t know me, hell they don’t even know that the werewolf princess exists! They don’t know that I am the Werewolf King and Queen’s daughter. The Werewolf Princess.

I don’t care if I die, but I won’t leave Zedr Bishop, I will kill him. I might not be the same Princess Serena I was, but I am the Legendary Wolf. Once I am trained enough I will take my revenge on Zedr Bishop.

I sighed and opened the fridge. I took a sandwich for myself, as food is the only source of my happiness right now.

I looked at myself in the mirror. My bruises and scars were healing but they were still there. I looked like the same lost girl but I was tired of crying so I went to bed.

I woke up the next morning and got ready. I was excited about going out and seeing the clan of the most feared alpha.

My excitement died down as I waited for Taylor for hours, but he never came. I asked the guard about Taylor and he said, he won’t be coming.

Disappointment hit me. Maybe Taylor and his alpha thought that I am tricking them or I am not worth their time. Once again, I felt like losing.

When I thought that everything would be the same as I planned, then it all went back to square one. Now they may kick me out of their clan and, once again, I will become a clanless wolf.

I hid my face in the pillow and screamed, “Why? Why moon goddess why? Why are you doing this to me? First, you took everything from me - my parents, my family, my people, and let me be tortured and raped for years. And now, when after years I got little hope to do the things I want, once again you are taking everything away from me. Why do you hate me this much? I am your child. You made me a legendary wolf. Did you make me a legendary wolf and the princess of werewolves for this? What am I supposed to do when you are taking everything from me!”

I don’t know how long I cried but one thing I was sure about is that once again I slept crying.

Three days passed and Taylor never came. This made me believe that I am unwanted here, so I made my decision. I will leave this clan before the alpha or the beta kicks me out.

I gathered myself and walked towards the door but before I could open the door, there was a knock. I opened the door and saw Taylor standing there.

“May I come in?” He asked.

I looked at him like he had grown two heads. He was seeking permission from ME to step inside as if this cabin belongs to me. As if this place belongs to me.

I answered, “You don’t have to ask, this clan and place is yours, not mine.”

I went inside and he followed.

“Serena, I know I disappointed you. I didn’t show myself in 3 days but I was busy with the pack work.”

“Serena, he is really disappointed for ignoring you, I can sense his disappointment and you know I won’t lie to you,” Sere spoke.

Star said, “I know Sere, I can feel this too but he better have some good explanation, or else I may lose my s**t”.

I agree with Star, but I can’t lose my patience in someone else's clan.

I looked at Taylor and said, “It’s ok. I have made up my mind already. You don’t have to worry about me anymore. I was waiting for you to visit so I can tell you that I am leaving this place.”

Tylor was shocked and his shocking expression made me read his mind. I read his mind and he kept repeating in his mind that I can’t leave this place. I don’t understand why he doesn’t want me to leave. First, he didn’t bother to show himself for 3 days and now, he doesn’t want me to leave. What’s the deal with him?

Taylor hurriedly said, “I told you I was busy with pack work. You already know that my alpha hates witches. We were having some problems dealing with witches, but it's solved now. I know I should have visited and told you but I was doing my beta duty.”

I panicked at the mention of witches and said, “If witches are already troubling you, then I should leave this place right now, because if they found out that I am staying here, in your clan, then they will create more problems for you.”

“No, you are not the reason why they were creating a problem. It was related to our pack and, as I said, that matter is already handled. I talked to my alpha about you and he said that he will help you. I know you don’t want to be a rogue again and you want to live in a clan. Stay Serena, you are safe here.”

It was difficult for me to trust him, but I agree with him on the rogue part. I don’t want to be a rogue. I decided to trust him again and said, “If I’m not the problem and you promise that you won’t do that disappearing thing again, then I am staying. I don’t want to be a rogue.”

“You will be welcomed into the clan and I promise I won’t do that disappearing thing again,” Taylor smiled and continued, “I want you to take your things and come with me, we are going to the packhouse”.
