“Do you really have to go?” Alyia asked him. Hiro sat on the sofa, with Alyia’s head on his lap as he was slowly caressing her hair.
“Sadly, yes. Mr. Nagai was a close friend of my father, and they were very close business partners. I must attend to show respect to him.” He explained to her one more time. He told her the reason he had to go to the party two times, but Alyia still didn’t want to let him go. Going with him wasn’t an option either. She knew it would be quite impolite to go, not to mention seeing Yuriko was the last thing she wanted.
“But I guess you don’t have to stay the whole night, right?” Alyia tried one more time. If he just needed to show respect to Mr. Nagai, he could just show up, stay a bit to make himself visible, and then leave.
