It took quite some time before Yuriko and Hiroki accepted all the congratulations. Everyone present wanted to praise them, knowing that the marriage of those two was most likely a step further to merge the two families and increase the price of both companies. Once guests returned to their previous activities, Hiroki pulled Yuriko away out of the room so they could speak privately.
“I am not sure what you are trying to pull, but be sure this won’t end well for you.” Hiroki uttered through his clenched teeth, trying to control his temper. If he could, he would climb the stage and announce the annulment of this stupid engagement right away. Sure, they put him in a corner, but they should know better. A cornered tiger is way more dangerous than one in the wild.
