C O L I N He was following me. I could smell him so I increased my pace. I growled when he tackled me sending the both of us rolling on the ground and I ended up at the bottom and Kurt was pinning me down. His dark gray coat was beautiful and his size was undeniably a bit bigger than me since he had an alpha blood. He leaned down and licked my nose with a little bit snot. I avoided my face at him, looking to the side. He barked at me and his tail wags as if he wanted to play. I pushed him with my two legs and rolled and we changed positions. I bared my teeth at him, growling and Kurt just parted his mouth and his tongue was hanging on the side. He looked so happy for I didn't know why. I got off him and he instantly stood on fours, ears standing straight cautiously as we walked, circling, watching and waiting for who would attack first. We both charged and he was the first one to tackle me and he gave me an inhibited bite on the neck preventing me from standing. I let out a whimper and struggled from his grip and I was glad that Kurt really didn't bite me for real. I gave up and laid still and he noticed it. Kurt let go of my neck and nuzzled his nose just below my mouth. It felt like he wasn't the Kurt I know. ** "You didn't tell us!" Mom exclaimed at me and she smiled at Kurt. He had breakfast in the house and mom and dad were so surprised about Kurt being my mate. Mom was freaking out and dad was speechless. "I. . . forgot?" I said, unsure and Kurt grinned at me making me roll my eyes. "And you both went home late last night." "Anyway, I'm so sorry if the cookies are not to your liking, alpha Kurt. I wasn't able to prepare a decent breakfast." Mom said apologetically making me frown. She doesn't have to apologize. It was Kurt's fault for showing his ass here without notice and I like mom's cookies. "You don't have to say sorry, Evelyn." He said. "I love your cookies, mom." I said and Kurt nodded. Mom smiled, relieved. "And I also came here to get Colin transferred to the pack house and live with me as my mate and as the second alpha." Kurt said making me choke from what I was chewing. Crumbs flew out of my mouth. "Nggh!" I whimpered while swallowing. Dad gave me a glass of coffee and I drank it like it was water, wincing. They were looking at me and waiting for my response. "No!" I exclaimed and Kurt knitted his brows. "Of course, alpha Kurt. You can drag him now." Mom said as if I wasn’t her own son. "Mom!" I whined. "Colin!" I shut my mouth when dad called my name in a warning tone. I just sighed. "Colin, you can visit us anytime, darling." Mom said, trying to cheer me up. I haven't left home even once and it was too sudden. "You already found your mate. You and your mate should stay together. I know alpha Kurt will take good care of you." Mom nodded at me and I knew I didn't have a choice. Take care of me? He won't! I'll get killed! I cracked a small smile at mom and nodded. ** "I thought you refused to accept me!?" I exclaimed at Kurt. He was walking ahead of me so I increased my pacing. He stopped walking making me stop also and he turned to look at me. "I changed my mind." He said making my heartbeat went faster suddenly and he noticed. He heard it making him smirk. I just snorted and walked ahead. Bipolar, a-hole! I heard him chuckled and walked after me. Kurt gave me a tour around the whole pack house. I have been living in that land for eighteen long years but I rarely went inside the pack house. What would I do there anyway since I didn't have any affairs in the house and now, I was going to live here for the rest of my life. The huge living room welcomed me first and three pups were happily playing on the floor with some colorful blocks. They stood when they saw Kurt and ran in our direction screaming "Alpha Kurt!" The pups threw their arms around him, hugging him and crushing Kurt with their three cute tiny bodies. "Hey!" He said happily petting their heads. I looked at Kurt and he looked so happy with the pups. He looked someone I didn't know. I didn't know he like kids. In fact, I didn't know anything about him, all I knew was his name, status, and his idiotic side. "Alpha Kurt, who is he?" The blonde pup asked and Kurt smiled. "He's Colin. My mate." He said while looking at me and not at the pup. I felt my face heated up. "What's mate?" The other pup asked who was still hugging Kurt's leg. Kurt looked at me as if he wanted me to help him explain to the pups but I frowned at him. "He's my partner and will be the second alpha." He said and the pups looked at me with wide eyes. "I want you to treat him like the way you treats and respects me." He said and they all nodded like some good obedient pups making me smile and my heart couldn't help but feel fluttered at what he just said. "Can we call him alpha Colin?" Said one of the pup and Kurt nodded, stroking the pup's hair. "Of course, Kent." Kurt said. I was surprised and unsure what to do when the blonde pup suddenly hugged me on my legs. I looked at Kurt who smiled widely so I bent to pick the pup up, raising him like how my dad always did to me when I was still a pup every time he went back home. The pup giggled and wrapped his arms around my neck and his legs on my torso, clinging on me. "I like him!" He said making me laugh. "Make me fly also!" The other two pups said and I went to put the blonde down but he tightened his legs and arms on me. The other two was already hugging both my legs. I glanced at Kurt for help but he was only smiling while looking at me. He even pulled his phone out from his pocket and took some photos. I ended up raising the pups one by one and it went to round two to three and at the end, I could tell they already liked me more than their alpha Kurt. ** Kurt was laughing as I climbed the stairs after him towards his room. We weren't able to tour the whole house because of those mutts and my muscles were sore but I could feel it soothing already. "You look like the father of those three restless pups." He said, still laughing. "Yeah." I said sarcastically. "And you're the mother." I was surprised by what came out of my mouth. Kurt stopped taking a step and his eyes also paused, looking at me. Then, he just suddenly laughed, throwing his head back. I never saw or heard him laugh like that and he looks so not Kurt. "No, you look like the mother more than me." He said making me blush. Kurt started climbing again until the top. "I don't know you like kids." I said and he chuckled. "I also don't know." He said making me frown. Kurt stepped forward towards my direction and I instinctively took a step backward. He smirked and at the same time raised an eyebrow. "Scared, Mr. Walker?" His lips were curving in a very provoking smile. "No, I'm not." I said, trying to sound tough. "I can hear your heartbeat." He said and advanced. I fought not to take a step back until his face was next to mine. I could feel his warm breath on my cheek and his hands slid to my waist making me shiver and it was suddenly hard to breathe. Then I could hear it also. Kurt's heartbeat and it was the same rhythm as mine. We both looked at each other's lips and before I could kiss him, I felt a presence. We both turned our heads at the same direction and saw alpha Cathy, looking at us with a surprised look on her face.
