“But Jay’s been there longer than Mark,” Zach said thoughtfully.
“Mark’s a harder worker,” Keith said.
Zach nodded his head in agreement, remembering how Jay tried to get up in his business with Jason.
Bert and Reggie showed up to say good-bye to Kitty and spoke to Bobby and Keith privately. “Are you sure they’re okay for money?”
Keith interrupted him. “Zach’s my partner in several businesses. Don’t worry. He can cover the freight.” Reggie nodded his head, and the last of the soccer team went back to their lives.
Bobby and Keith were satisfied that everything was going well and went home to perform the tasks they were assigned.
Kitty came home the following Thursday, and the pause button that had been pushed on Bobby and Keith’s relationship moved back to play.
