Huffing and puffing, I struggled to keep up with Zack’s pace and not fall on my face. To be fair to him, he wasn’t even walking that fast but the terrain is harder than I would have originally thought. At first, there was a clear path that we followed which was easy enough but then he decided to make it more ‘exciting’ by taking it off road. We were now in the middle of nowhere.
“Having fun?” He asked, looking back at me.
I forced a tight smile. “The best.”
Honestly, apart from being tired beyond belief, it was quite enjoyable. I’d even go as far as to say it’s relaxing. The view, the atmosphere and the overall scenery of the woods just felt right.
I could get used to it. I might even hike again.
After I rest for like a week.
