Stella and Nadia were taken to their new apartment. They weren't expecting it to be as well furnished as it was but then again, they had a great boss. "So, what do you think?" Stella asked. "I think it's amazing though." "It's beautiful." Nadia agreed. They took their time to unpack their clothes and set up their rooms. While unpacking, Stella got a call. She sighed deeply before picking up the call. It was her boyfriend. "Hey, Fred." She called out warmly and walked to her window. "Don't call my name as though we're cool, Stella." "What's wrong? I thought we already settled this." "Settled? Stella, you freaking left me here because of your so-called job; a job that you don't even know who your boss is." "I'm well paid, what more could I ask for? She pays me well and I get incentives too. Do you expect me to leave all that just because of you? How far are you going to support me? If I eventually ask for a million dollars to start a business, would you give me that in a few minutes? Why aren't you understanding? I am doing this for us. The money I get is for both of us, why are you being like this?" Her heart ached as she spoke. "Well, you can go on with your job, and let me just let you know, we dissolved the moment you left this city. There is no US anymore and you can focus on your career. Goodbye." "Fred, lis----" Before she could finish her statement, he hung up. She tried calling him back but it didn't go through. He had already blacklisted her. She broke down. The two of them had been together for as long as she could remember, and he was letting her go just because she picked her job over him. She was pained that he didn't understand her. As her tears flowed freely, Nadia walked in. She quickly wiped her tears. "Hey, are you okay?" That was one question she didn't like to hear when she was sad. It made her cry the more and made her feel bitter. "Come here," Nadia walked towards her and embraced her warmly, giving Stella more room to cry on her shoulder. "Do you want to talk about it?" Nadia asked but she shook her head. "Okay, miss Lane is waiting for us, wanna talk about it after lunch?" She sniffed and disengaged firm the hug. "Maybe not yet." "Alright, let's go out then." Nadia smiled and led her outside. **** "Good morning, dear." Claire greeted as she woke up and found Jason dressing up for work. "Good morning, babe." He greeted back and wore his jacket. Jason Reed stood in front of his room's full-length mirror. He was putting on a Colorful Shawl tuxedo, a pair of Testoni Italian leather shoes, and a Rolex watch on his wrist. His dark well-combed pompadour hairstyle gave him an alluring look and as well, brought out his striking facial features; thin lips, strong jaws, and a well-sculptured nose. He wouldn't be described as a demigod but he had their looks. He began to put his tie around his next. "Do you need help with that?" She asked and stood up. She walked up to him and knotted his tie while looking at him but he was looking into his reflection in the mirror behind her. "Thank you." He put in finishing touches on his coat before proceeding to head out. "Almost forgot my baby." He rushed back to the baby crib that was close to their huge bed. He kissed his sleeping daughter and his wife before heading out. On getting to his car, one of his guards opened the door and he entered. Jason Reed grew his billions into more billions over the years and became the wealthiest man in Cali. No one stood close to him in terms of money, not even his best friend. He received a phone call on his way to work. It was Damon. "Hey, man." He said first. "How's that secretary of yours?" He asked. "What do you mean?" "I screwed her arse yesterday, so I wanna know if she's okay." Jason sighed and pinched the flesh in between his brows. "Can you stop hitting on my workers? I'm going to have to stop you from coming to my office." "I'm sorry, she was just too irresistible. Do you know how hot she is in her tight skirts?" "Now, I'm going to have to fire her for agreeing to commit the act of iniquity with you." He smirked. "Oh, please, don't. I promised her it won't affect her job. Please, don't fire her and I promise never to hit on your workers again. If they come to me, I will run away from them." Damon begged him. "You? Run? What are you trying to do? c***k a joke? The Damon I know never runs from a woman with big arse." "Same with the Jason I know." "I am a good man." He bragged. "You've just not seen anyone as curvy as Elaine. I know you'd kill yourself over a woman with wide hips." "Can we not bring my past into the present? It's inappropriate. I am married now and I have a child. Why would I want to be talking about Elaine?" "Remember what you said to me before she disappeared again?" "All that was a mistake, don't use that against me." "I still want to f**k her if I see her. I don't know about you." "I don't want to do that anymore, Damon. Stop it, or else I'm going to hang up." "Sorry, boss. Are you going to work?" "Yeah," "Say hello to your wife and your daughter for me. What's the name of your daughter again?" "What kind of friend are you?" "The one everyone wishes to have." "Her name's Nia, you idiot." Jason cussed before hanging up. He was now at work and needed to focus. He got out of his car and went inside the building. Coming out of the elevator, he met his secretary. "Good morning, sir." She bowed. "Yeah." He replied simply and walked to his office. She followed behind him. He would have questioned her about her night but he wasn't one to pry into other people's lives. "What's my schedule like for today?" He asked with a gruff tone. "You're free this morning sir, you have a lunch date with Mrs. Williams and your wife requested that we fix a meeting with you today. She said it's important. That's all." "My wife? But she didn't say anything like that at home. Isn't there any way we can postpone the meeting with Diane Williams? I'm not really in the mood for her talks." "We've been doing that for a long time now, and she's getting impatient." "Alright. Make sure to remind me. I will be going alone today." He noticed how short her skirt was and how revealing her cleavage was. He struggled to breathe in her presence. "You're dismissed." He waved his hand curtly and she walked out, making sure to suppress her boss with her swaying arse. "Man, I really have to fire that lady." He released his tie as though he was sweating. He picked up his phone and called Claire. "Hey, babe, what do you want to talk about?" "Let's meet up first, dear." "Why did you tell me anything at home?" Claire smiled. "It's an official thing. Let's talk over lunch, shall we?" "Sure." He hung up and relaxed in his seat. Shortly, he heard a knock on his door. He closed his eyes and let the person in. Two endowed ladies walked into his office and he groaned. "Today is going to be a very harrrrrd day."
