Myrrah ran inside the chamber at a frenetic speed, nudging me to rise up on the bed with a gentle caress as the first light of the day peered through the window. I sprang awake from her prodding and struggled to adjust my vision to the light streaming in from the outside, which had gotten past the draperies' blocking.
Before she could ask Myrrah what was wrong, a black cave yawned open in front of her, rubbing the drowsiness away.
"What's the matter, Myrrah?"
"Good morning, your Majesty; today is the first day of your throne ascension. As the queen of Madoxx, you must attend to meet the courtiers and some officials in the kingdom," Myrrah explained as she sat down.
The draperies are pulled back, allowing the sun's light to penetrate the room. "I have prepared the bath for you in advance, your majesty," she added, holding out her hands in front of me, signalling for me to undress and lend her the nightgown I'd been wearing.
By the time Myrrah finished her sentence, I was perplexed and looked at her in amazement as I stammered out my inquiries for clarifications to her.
"I uhm——Do I have to undress in front of you?"
"Yes, your Majesty,"
"But——I mean, I'm not used to parading myself naked in front of other people," I countered.
"There's no need to be ashamed about me seeing your nakedness, your highness; it's typical in our world to see a lot of people naked here in Madoxx; if you insist, you may remove your nightgown when we get to the bathroom." she remarked as she led me to a chamber with a large square tub in the center filled with a seductively scented water.
"If you may, your highness..." Myrrah extended her arms and waited as I hesitantly removed my nightdress and handed it to her on the way to the tub. I cautiously step on the stair stones with a flushed face from the embarrassment of my nudity, and the warm water from the tub hits the tip of my toes, and something amazing happens at the smallest touch of it.
Myrrah sensed the uncertainty and awe I was displaying, as if my feelings were dissipating like an open book on my face. As the water in the tub generated a blue glow, which was reflected in the sprinkled glitters on it.
“The bath is laced with this magic that might enable the stiffness of your body to go away, your majesty.” She stated as she displays me of a slightly color blue potion that’s shimmering within the bottle like an Aurora Borealis in the sky. Like a youngster who was amazed by simply the things that I’ve heard just now, I joyfully dipped the half of my body in the water and a sigh of relief pass through my lips in seconds later as the water worked its magic, I felt the aching muscles on my body that had been building up over the years subside.
Myrrah had excused herself for a time and returned not long after, accompanied by my mother, who smiled as soon as she saw my face in the bath tub. Her satiny elaborate gown fits her matured curves and flowing gracefully from top to bottom, with an exposing v-front neckline that stops midway down her chest. Her neck, ears, and hands were decked with golden jewels and her ginger-brown hair was braided back that are fastened in a bun with pins that make it more enchanted to look at and a smile lit up her face, which emanated a flowering glow.
"Oh, my lovely baby!" "Mom exclaimed as she dashed towards me, arms outstretched, ready to hug me." I climbed out of the tub, grabbed the robe Myrrah had provided for me, and dressed myself to meet my mother's embrace as she showered me with kisses. "Look at you, my dear," she remarked as she spun me around to have a better look at me.
I wrapped a tight hug around my mother and sobbed from the intensity of my emotions. Myyrah exited the room, leaving me and Mom alone for a brief moment as we sat down in a chair inside the bathroom chamber.
"I heard you married the king to save me?" "Mom inquired, with worry expression on her face as she observed me.
"I almost lost you..." I muttered between hiccups as tears streamed down my cheek. Extinguishing the emotions that have been lingering in my mind since yesterday. "I'd chased you down the instant I realized you'd been kidnapped by the creatures I assumed were just in your head."
"Silly, of course they're real," she murmured as she wiped away my tears and hushed my sobbing.
"I am very sorry for not believing you mom!" I blurted out as I wrapped my arms around her and sobbed.
"Hush now..." Mom whispered, as she stroked my back softly cooing me for minutes until I get back to my usual self.
“Come on now, let’s start getting you ready and clothed. We don't want the courtiers to wait," Mom remarked as she ushered me out of the bathroom and into my chamber, where Myrrah was preparing my dress, jewels, and sandals.
The black skirt in chiffon fabric hang freely in my bottom with gold threads that embroidered in magnificent pattern, and in my top front, the fabric was hanged loosely on my neckline that stops in the midway of my chest, just enough to show some slight decency. Mom gestured me to Myrrah's direction and starts assisting her in dressing me. Myrrah and her mother complemented the look with a few gems.
Mom is adjusting the curls in my hair and embellishing it with gorgeous gems, while Myrrah is applying make-up.
A tap on the door interrupts our preparations, and a man's voice can be heard calling from outside the chamber.
"It is I Illad, your majesty, your personal guard" said the baritone voice, “The king has asked me to escort you to the gallery room where he awaits.”
I shifted my focus to Myrrah, praying with her to help me figure out what I needed to say because I wasn't sure what to do.
Understanding what I meant of my look, she walked over to the door and greeted Illad. Saying something to my personal guard that I wasn't ready yet and that he needed to wait until I finished before returning to me. After a semi-long wait, now that I’m finally ready. Myrrah flung open the door, letting in a white-haired guy dressed in silver armor and wielding a gleaming sword in a sheath around his waist. As we met face to face, he paused and bowed as he extended his arms to me, motioning for me to follow him.
Accepting his gesture, I put my hand into his arm in a polite manner, and together exited the room on our way to meet my husband.
